Hmm, the theme is hope, especially in the very annals of despair. It is a different kind of hope than we are used to seeing in other stories (at least I hope so). Most of the time stories that deal with hope show a solution to the problems in a very perfect way. I want to emphasize how empathy is a solution to despair, and how it brings hope even when the world constantly rages and roars around us.

Basically, I want to say hope is not finding solutions, but rather being there for people and sharing their pain.

Oh, that is so, SO easy! The theme is pretty much the reason I wrote this in the first place.

Same here! I can't wait until the climax parts, it feels fully mapped out in my mind.

Well, I'm not going at this entirely unplanned. I know what the climax is, I know how it will end, and I know what to set in place for any potential sequels. I just haven't worked out the details in between, like the MOTWs.
