The fight scenes are very choregoraphic in nature, you list the moves as they play (Laurentia turned, Gale jumped, etc.) the words give an impression of movement.

Thanks also for providing that example. See, I really don't know how to do this...it's something I severely struggle with. It's probably a lack of vocabulary and command of the language so I guess the best thing is to keep trying. I'm going to try to incorporate more of that in the future.

Thank you! Now, my main problem with writing is that I can't really do that whole "Show, don't tell" thing writers are often advised to do. Partly, I think it's because I'm more well-read in authors that do tell more than they show (CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien, JK Rowling), but also because I simply don't know how to really show.

How can I improve on that in this chapter?
