It's like the reviews I saw for Omega, half hated the second season for being so fanservicey and half loved it for that reason.

Next Generation is not a bad show, but it is a fundamentally different beast from The Original Series. I just get annoyed when these Geetwoers complain that the new Treks are not "Trek" and they use Next Generation as a comparison for what is Trek. I find it hypocritical because Next Generation itself deviated strongly from the feel of what Trek originally was. Thanks for listening to the rants.

Trek has some Geewunners ... But the fans are mostly Geetwoers who see The Next Generation as the quintessential Trek.

It's just a shame that's all. The English speaking world doesn't kow the coolness of Saint Seiya. Geewunner behaviour gets me shuddering. Now if Star Trek was more geewunner stuff would be better.
