Well, the idea is that copyright is automatic right? So whatever you create is copyrighted to you, unless it infringes on somebody's copyright. So the CC License exploits this by allowing you to use your automatic copyright privileges and determine the terms and conditions yourself. If you own your copyright, who says you can't give your work away freely? It is YOUR right to copy, you could bestow this right on everyone else too. Hope that makes sense.

But the cool thing is that the Creative Commons licenses use copyright AND dismantle them. They effectively work with the law to subvert the more nefarious purposes of copyright.
Those look cool. Not usually a fan of model kits, but they do look nice. The Bandai one I'm looking forward to is the Figuarts Vader. -
