Well, just an honest opinion, I feel that out of the Power Rangers seasons so far, Dino Thunder has been one of the less persuasive toy sellers.
Anyway, I still like the characters, and Mesogog is still fun to watch.

Weird season indeed. The funny thing is that it's actually quite decent when it comes to the character moments. I think Conner, Ethan and Kira are fun characters. It's just the Power Rangers scenes themselves feel kind of out of place, like the show suddenly changes tone. They don't even really feel integrated, the Power Rangers and the slice of life scenes.
I think it's a fun teen slice of life/drama series. But they seem a bit less interested in the Power Rangers aspect of it. The selling the toys, the oohs and ahs of the new powers, etc.
I'll try to finish it, though.

I don't know, I don't find myself getting so emotionally invested. You're right about the plotting, each episode is hard to follow. They jump from scene to scene with little emotional buildup so that even when they introduce new toys it's hard to really care. Recently Conner got both Triassic Ranger powers and the Mezodon Megazord. By all accounts, both really cool. But the music remained as such, the scenes shifted quickly, there was just no buildup or payoff to get excited about and in the end what should have been an explosive debut just went through the motions.
