Because the people here are boring, and we like it that way. We enjoy quiet, laid-back lifestyles. Our shopping sucks, our food is decent but not spectacular, our cafes are good but not as good as those in the East Coast cities of Melbourne and Sydney, our cinemas are expensive and small.

My city is the epitome of a quiet life.

And even the major cities like Sydney and Melbourne pale in comparison to American cities in terms of activity.
