Picked these up while out Christmas shopping. Almost grabbed the Monster Manual, but didn't have enough left over. Also they didn't have the matching Dungeon Master's Guide...

Sat in on a few games when I was in high school (Six to nine years ago, depending on when you want to start), been meaning to start, saw these down from half their usual asking price, and figured "Hell with it, I've likely got nothing going on until mid-January."

TLDR; I've been meaning to start a new vice and I just don't have the cash or stomach for alcoholism.
