KR VS SS Similarities Battle 1: Living Zoos
 

Sentai and I were talking about this for a while, so here's the first ever battle between a Kamen Rider and a Sentai with similar Motifs (There will be 14 battles, each for the first 13 Heisei Riders and one Showa Rider)! And our first battle is between the winner of the first Kamen Rider Tournament against the Sentai of 100 Beasts!


Our facts for our heroes!

OOO

• Has 137 combos (125 random, 5 main, 1 midseason upgrade, 1 Super Mode (PuToTyra), 1 Eleventh Hour Superpower (Super TaToBa), 2 special (TaMaShii and BuraKaWani), 2 alternative {with Kangaroo Medal}) possible due to mix-and-matching core medals
• Can revive any Rider turned into a core medal via Scanning charge.
• RideVendor, which comes in multiples; ToRideVendor can absorb excess energy from RaToraTah combo and allow him to function properly.
• Can turn into a one man army via GataKiriBa combo; by creating multiple clones or turn into each of his Single colored Combos (and TaToBa) by granting enough of the GataKiriBa clones the Core Medals needed. Can also conduct electricity from the Kuwagata horns, slice opponents using the Kamakiri Swords, and deliver powerful kicks and jump high due to the Batta Legs.
• RaToraTah can blind and scorch opponents with the light it radiates, and can run at super speed. Can also slash with the Tora Claws and do high speed kicks with its Cheetah Legs.
• SaGoZo can control gravity and wields super strength. It can have a powerful headbutt with the Sai Head, launch its Gori Bagon on its Gorilla Arms, and create powerful stomps and earthquakes with its Zou Legs.
• TaJaDor can fly and use a Giga Scan, turning into an enormous FireBird with the Red Cores or create a black hole using the Purple Cores. Can see and pinpoint with the Taka Brave Head, create peacock feather missiles with the Kujaku Arms, and do powerful whirlwind-esque kicks with the Condor Legs.
• ShaUTa can turn into water. With the Shachi head, he can echolocate others and spray water, shock opponents with the Unagi whips on its Unagi Arms, and create multiple legs with the Tako Legs, enabling him to do a powerful drill kick during his Scanning Charge.
• BuraKaWani has a healing factor and can summon a Giant Cobra from the top of it's head, also has the Goura Guardner, which can form an energy shield. Can do powerful kicks with the Wani Legs, using the saw-like Saw Deadscythers.
• Most Powerful Form: PuToTyra (TV series), Super TaToBa (MegaMax)
• PuToTyra can freeze opponents, and wield the MedaGabryu in Bazooka Mode. Also allows OOO to keep cell medals within his body to use for one huge devastating attack. Can also shatter other medals. Keeping the Purple medals allows Eiji to turn into a Greeed as well. Can fly using the Ptera Head's External Fins, can pierce opponents with the Torikera Arm's shoulder mounted Wide Stingers, and can strike his opponents with his powerful tail and kick them with the Legsteranail claws on his Tyranno Legs. Can also turn into a Greeed thanks to this form, becoming a powerful Berserker.
• Super TaToBa is an advanced form of TaToBa from the future, allowing OOO to keep up with those who stop time/can accelarate through time, by momentarily stopping time itself.

Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger

• Transform using the G-Phones and G-Brace Phone.
• Wields their own individual weapons: the Lion Fang (which can transform into the Gao Mane Buster), the Eagle Sword, the Shark Cutters, the Bison Axe and the Tiger Baton- which can all combine into the Evil-Crushing Hundred-Beast Sword. GaoSilver wields the Gao Hustler Rod, a triple changing weapon that can become a saber, a rifle and a pool cue. The main Gaorangers also wield the Beast King Swords. GaoRed also wields the Falcon Summoner, a bow weapon that has a gun, arrow and summoner mode.
• Can enlist the power of 100 Power Animals, but usually enlists the help of the following-
• GaoKing is the primary mecha formed using GaoLion, GaoEagle, GaoBison, GaoShark and GaoTiger. It can combine with other Power Animals to form different combinations: GaoKing Sword and Shield (using GaoElephant), GaoKing Spear (with GaoGiraffe as the right arm), GaoKing Double Knuckle (With GaoBear and GaoPolar as the arms), GaoKing Striker (With GaoRhinos and GaoMajiro as the legs), GaoKing Another Arm (With GaoWolf and GaoHammerhead as the arms), GaoKing Another Arm Spear (With GaoWolf and GaoGiraffe), GaoKing Cross Horn (With GaoDeers as the left arm)
• GaoMuscle is the second mecha formed using GaoGorilla, GaoBear, GaoPolar, GaoEagle and GaoBison. Like GaoKing, it has other formations- GaoMuscle Striker (With GaoRhinos and GaoMajiro as the legs), GaoMuscle Striker Cross Horn (With GaoDeers as the arm in the GaoMuscle Striker formation) GaoMuscle Striker Spear (With GaoGiraffe as the arm in the GaoMuscle formation)
• GaoHunter is GaoSilver's primary mech, formed using GaoWolf, GaoHammerhead and GaoLigator. It has a powered up form called Blue Moon, but will have to rest for several weeks after using it.
• GaoGod is an ancient and more powerful version of GaoKing
• GaoIcarus is formed by GaoFalcon, GaoGiraffe, GaoDeers, GaoRhinos and GaoMajiro. Can fly using its powerful wings or defend using them, and the eyes on its wings can freeze an Org in its place.
• GaoKentaurus is the formation using GaoFalcon, GaoShark, GaoTiger, GaoElephant combined with an enlarged GaoLion as the legs.

Kamen Rider OOO all the way. Sure he'd be outnumbered, but that wouldn't matter. He might be one person but he also has 137 different combos to Gao's five Rangers. And let's ignore the Mechs a moment. Because even if they called on the Animals they couldn't do much. OOO has already taken out enemies much bigger then himself, anyway. And the ironic thing is: He has a combination for each of the five Gao's.

Gao Red and White - Rah Tora Tah
Gao Yellow - Ta Ja Dor
Gao Black - Sa Go Za
Gao Blue - Sha U Ta
Gao Silver - Ra Tora Tah again

And if ever gets into a real pinch he can just go either Super Tatoba or PoToTyra and deal heavy damage on them all at once. It all comes down to versitility in combat, and OOO has it in spades.

I don't know that we can really have fair comparison between an individual rider and a full sentai team.

Sure we can.
The Riders have always been presented a stronger than individual sentai members all the time.

And OOO. Because he's just better.

In general I consider riders to be much stronger because it only requires one of them for their fights whereas you need 5 to 7 sentai members to defeat their enemies. And in this matchup I'll easily take OOO over gaoranger. I hated Gaoranger.

I will second this. I didn't hate Gaoranger , i know nothing about it. But based on Wild Force ( which i hated ) OOO's would mop the floor with them.

Yeah, I think most Riders are screwed on this point. OOO, though, I'd give an edge to because GataKiriBa. He could wear down some of the weaker members then pull out the other combos to take down the rest.

Nah. The Riders can handle entire Sentai teams.
Whichever rider gets matched against Dekaranger is gonna have one hell of a time, but overall, I think the Riders can hold their own.

I'm calling it now: Gokaiger is the only Sentai team that will ever win one of these matches.

Thing is, Kamen Rider is not only more popular and liked here than Super Sentai, but pretty much everyone agrees a Kamen Rider could take on a whole Sentai team. In other words, Kamen Rider will have both the popularity edge, and the actual/supposed strength edge. Unless it's something like "Gekiranger vs. Faiz", I don't see much hope for Sentai.

Wouldn't these fights seem a little more fair if we included secondary Riders. Like Birth & OOO vs GaoRanger? Not that OOO's needs Birth right now....just a thought

If we included secondary Riders, the Sentai wouldn't even stand a chance...
Like, I'm pretty sure a team of Fourze and Meteor or Kabuto and Gatack would just curb stomp any Sentai they face.

Which is why it's only gonna be a main Rider vs the Sentai Team :thumb: And you'll be surprised by some of the matchups we have in store, cause I can honestly say that there will probably be more than 1 Sentai that may win

Giant robots make Kamen Riders look like insects (Get it?!). We're done here unless Kamen Rider J is around.

I know this will sound completely biased, but how can they even get to their mechs when they are swarmed by hundreds of clones, blinded and slashed at, stuck to the ground due to gravity, burned alive by feather missiles, electrocuted while being drowned, frozen and shattered, being attacked by a giant cobra, all while time is standing still?

The time it'll take for the Power Animals to come down from Animarium takes longer than Eiji needs to go PuToTyra and freeze them in place, then switch to GataKiriBa and spam them with powers of his different combos :P

I don't think the Gaorangers need to get to their mecha though, since they're sentient and all. Plus there's 100 of them, so its not like they can't distract OOO long enough to form GaoKing or GaoIcarus.

My vote more reflects the fact that even though they have such a huge number of animals at their disposal, there's nothing that strikes me as particularly special about them. None of them are highly skilled, their weapons aren't all that good apart from that one combo and they get kicked around a hell of a lot in their series. If my memory serves me right they only won in the last episode because all 100 animals showed up to help them last minute.

So, one of the most powerful Riders ever vs. an unremarkable Sentai team? It's a no brainer for me, OOO.

Was GaoRanger unremarkable? Was it one of those seasons where PR direct translated? Cause I remember Wild Force being kind of meh to. Always thought it was just a cluster (Ahem) of random Zords.

Well, I have to admit I'm not being completely fair since my only experience with Gaoranger comes from Gokaiger and stock footage from Wild Force. That being said, I don't feel that I'm wrong based on these half-assed discernings. Though if someone is can prove me otherwise, feel free.

According to Linkara's HoPR, WF was a close (But not direct, due to clashing writers) adaptation.
Even so, OOO would whoop their asses :p

Also, KamenRiderOOO (The user), this is just a suggestion, but you may want to consider usin the PR teams as opposed to Sentai. You must remember that a ridiculous amount of Sentai haven't been fully subbed, pre-Magiranger...

The only problem I have with Gao/WF is the same problem I have with Dino Thunder/Abaranger. Auxillary Zords/Mechs. I mean, how many animals did Gao have? Close to, or exactly, one hundred?! That's to many. And Samurai/Shinken does the same thing. Though atleast they limited the number and made them combine somehow.
I like when there's two or three Mechs/Megazords and they combine into one monster of a thing. Like the original Megazord.

I went over the list of match-ups with OOO before this started, and I don't think there's a matchup pre-Magiranger anyway.

Gao had 100 mechs, but only like, 20 showed up. 5 for GaoKing, 3 for GaoMuscle, 3 for Gaohunter, 5 for GaoIcarus, 5 for GaoGod, the elephant, and the Soul Bird...

You certainly aren't making it easy for me to think these polls won't turn into a series of Rider Gush Threads.

They won't. OOO is just very evenly matched against a Sentai Team's Mecha. I promise you, some Sentai teams will win these.

Yeah, trust Sentai, there are teams that can outmatch the riders. And sorry Shockercon, but that's just how I see it for this battle. I've watched how long it'd take for the animals to come down from the Animarium vs the time it takes OOO to go PuToTyra at his fastest, plus the Super TaToBa being able to stop time factor kinda led to my rant lol.

I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, I'm only going by the results of this poll.

Well, if one of the teams is Jetman, I think they will be fine for a pre-Magiranger team(though shouldn't it be pre-Dekaranger?).
