KR VS SS Similarities Battle 2: Just Playing Some Card Games Pt1
 

And this battle starts! Between the former Let's Watch Wednesday Rider and Sentai's favorite team! (And as per Sentai's request, Mecha will not take part in these battles)

Kamen Rider Ryuki (2002)

VS

Tensou Sentai Goseiger (2010)

Ryuki:

• Can travel through the mirror world
• Can summon Dragredder, his contract monster
• Wields the Strike Vent, which attaches a dragon-like gauntlet on his right hand to shoot a burst of flames, assisted by Dragredder.
• Wields the Sword Vent, which summons his Drag Saber sword.
• Wields the Guard Vent, summoning dragon like shields to his arms.
• Wields the Trick Vent, allowing him to make copies of himself.
• Wields the Strange Vent, which can turn into other cards.
• Most Powerful Form- Ryuki Survive
• Survive is Ryuki's ultimate form, assumed by using the power of Survive Rekka. In this form, Ryuki's Rider Visor transforms into a gun-like weapon called the Drag Visor-Zwei , which can assume Drag Blade mode with the sword opening from the visor like a pocket knife with a blade measuring 1.2m in length. Dragredder become Dragranzer when this happens, capable of becoming a Motorcycle.

Tensou Sentai Goseiger:

• The Goseigers have power over certain elements: GoseiRed and GoseiPink control Aerial elements, GoseiBlack and GoseiYellow control Ground Elements, GoseiBlue controls Water, and GoseiKnight can use all 3. They transform/use their attacks by using the Tensouder, or in GoseiKnight's case, the LeonCellular. GoseiKnight is also the living form of the Groundion Headder, and as such can turn into it to attack his opponents.
• Each of the main 5 wield a GoseiBlaster, which can attach their Headder to it to increase its power and allow it to use their element. GoseiKnight wields the Leon Laser instead, able to change from a gun to sword. With the Vulcan Headder and the LeonCellular, the Leon Laser can become more powerful and perform the Knight Dynamic finishing move.
• The main five use the GoseiBuster, a firearm formed from their respective weapons; the Skick Sword (GoseiRed), the Skick Shot (GoseiPink), the Landick Ax (GoseiBlack), the Landick Claw (GoseiYellow) and the Seaick Bowgun. The Skick Sword and Skick Shot can combine into the SkyBuster while the Landick Ax, Claw and Seaick Bowgun can form the LandSeaBuster.
• Most Powerful forms (for the main five): Super Goseigers.
• Gosei Tensword: The Gosei Tenswords enable the Goseigers to become the Super Goseigers once the dome on top of the each staff holds a Miracle Gosei Header and the Goseigers announce "Super Tensou!," a voice calls out Super Change, covering them in the Gosei Tector armor. Gosei Red can perform the Super Red Break attack, Gosei Pink can perform the Super Pink Trick attack, and Gosei Black can perform the Super Black Attack attack. By pressing a button and pulling the trigger on the handle, the Super Goseigers can execute a finishing attack. When used by the Skick Super Goseigers, its finishing attack is the Super Sky Dynamic/ When used by the Landick Super Goseigers, its finishin. attack is the Super Land Dynamic. When used by Super Gosei Blue, its finishing attack is the Super Sea Dynamic. When used by the Skick and Landick Super Goseigers, its finishing attack is the Super Sky-Land Dynamic. When used by all five Super Goseigers together, its finishing attacks are the Super Sky-Land-Sea Dynamic and Super Sky-Land-Sea-Knight Dynamic with the Dynamic Leon Laser. With Gosei Knight, the Super Goseigers can perform the Miracle Gosei Knight Dynamic finishing attack.
• Super Tensword: The combination of the Gosei Tensword and the Tensouder. With it, The Super Goseigers can perform the Miracle Gosei Dynamic finishing attack by placing the Miracle Gosei Dynamic Cards in the Tensouders. The Super Goseigers say "Punish!" in performing the finishing attack.
• Use multiple GoseiCards to fight (List can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goseigers#Gosei_Cards)
• Assisted by several Headders to use on their GoseiBlasters- Dragon, Phoenix, Snake, Tiger, Shark, Manta, Sawshark, Hammershark, Tyranno, Kuwagata, Sai, Ptera, Taka, Crow and the Miracle GoseiHeadders powerful versions of their main ones.

Okay whut? If mecha are discounted then so should form changes, contract monsters and all the other Rider malarky. These matches are pretty one sided as it is.

Well for the other matches (such as Den-O, Kiva and Fourze), they will not have their assistance, as in no Denliner, Castle Doran or PowerDizer. But Dragredder is kinda needed for Ryuki, since his powers stem from him.

I have to give this to the Goseigers. Shinji probably wouldn't want to fight with these guys and just let them have the win.

That's not entirely fair though.
Ryuki's powers and weapons are directly derived from Dragredder, and he's no titan, size wise.

Sentai's mecha, on the other hand, tower over skyscrapers.

You can't force them to discount everything in a Rider's arsenal just because the Sentai can't summon their giant robot. It's an unfair trade.

I'm not forcing anyone to discount everything. But you take away that fact there's five of them, what do you have with Sentai? One, maybe two forms with a limited set of weapons/skills that might get one upgrade throughout the series. You take away the mechs, you put them at a massive weaponry disadvantage.

Riders on the other hand often (but not always) have multiple forms that are either set for specific combat or get more and more powerful as they go. I wasn't necessarily referring to this matchup when I said "yeah, discount everything" because this one is fairly equal. But if that's the rule for all future ones, then all of these are going to be heavily one sided.

But you're not taking away the fact that there's 5 of them. The team dynamic and ability to fight cohesively is one of Sentai's biggest advantages (Where as fights involving 2 or more riders tend to come down to 'Rider A runs in and slashes, then slides away so Rider B can run in and slash too.').

On an individual by individual basis, yes, the Rider's arsenal and power set would probably beat out any individual Sentai member, but (For the most part), that one Sentai character has 5 others behind him, ready to help.

Also, KROOO (The user), you forgot to mention Ryuki's Strange Vent card, which transforms into other cards when he uses it.

Goseiger wins this, easily. Usually, Riders are more powerful than Sentai teams. Fourze, for instance, would stomp the Goseigers. I know this. But Ryuki? Poor Grill-Face doesn't have a chance. Even if he gets past the Goseigers, who's that behind him? Why it's Gosei Knight! And looks like he's about to Lazer Sword your brains all over the scenery.

I'd have to give it to Gosei too. The Ryuki riders were always low on the power spectrum...

Gosei's cards are just more versatile.
Combined with Dragredder needing to pretty much stay in the mirror world (Aside from the brief snippets he can be out), meaning that his best chance at winning has a time limit on it. I just don't see Ryuki taking it.

Sorry man, i love your rider battle threads but this concept just doesn't work. You cant discount the use of mecha. Thats part of the arsenal of the characters, why would you handicap that? Riders and Sentais just cant be fairly compared to one another. The power and skill sets just dont match up at all.

I'm gonna apply a rule of escalation.
As the Sentai never call on their mecha until the enemy becomes giant, it's safe to assume they're not going to in these situations unless they fight J. :I

This. Although it is true that the mecha are apart of the arsenal, it is only logical that it would only be used against giant riders, which doesn't happen. Exception J.

Speaking of SS vs KR. I really can't wait to actually watch Super Hero Taisen.

Ryuki, I love you, but you're just too damn weak. I don't think Shinji from when he was all "I don't care anymore. FIGHT!" could even take on 6 senshi.

Not anymore. I voted Ryuki. I see the Goseigers to be a weaker team in most cases, even with Gosei Knights' badassery. Ryuki riders are some of the weaker riders out there but I think with Survive and Dragredder Shinji could win.

I hate how people keep referring to Ryuki as a "Weak" Rider or other Rider characters in Ryuki as weak. Ryuki and the other Riders fought a war in the Mirror World more than likely because actual battles in the Real World would cause huge amounts of collateral damage.Their battles are purposefully controlled and scaled down. Think X and their Barriers to segregate the Real World from their battlefield.

Besides, Strange Vent trumps all.

Oh, and Ryuki could beat Goseiger, Agito, Decade, Gavan, Shinkenger, Will Smith and Chuck Norris. Just sayin':rolleyes

Weak or not, in almost any case i think a single rider can be a match for an entire sentai team.

If say the numbers thing was an issue why not just put the Goseigers up against Ryuki's main 4. Ryuki was not just a solo Rider show and I think Knight, Zolda and Ouja could and did work together from time to time. Who knows, maybe they might go all Sentai style like they did in the Ryuki/Agito side-fiction special.

That said, Ouja would kill them all if he had the chance.

In terms of power-scaling, the Riders in the Ryukiverse are relatively underpowered compared to a lot of the other Kamen Rider series. Doesn't make them worse fighters, it just means that there's a basic inequality in their equipment compared to Riders from, say, Kabuto or Faiz.

In this case, though, it also doesn't help that Shinji's just not that strong of a fighter.

Plus Shinji's an incompetent dumbass. The Goseigers are a great many things I hate, but they are competent.

So, are these going to continue or has this been scrapped?

Really? It seems this poll had more votes the the average Rider battle had. It'd be a shame if this stopped before it even started.

Well it's more based on how the people vote actually. I haven't seen a reply from every voter, meaning they probably only vote to get the battle over with. With the battle being between an entire Sentai team and a single kamen rider, I'd at least like to see an argument between who could actually win. Most people vote rider due to multiple forms, but Sentai have strength in numbers and team coordination.
