Glad you used my color scheme format thing XD. I love Wizard so far, can't wait to see this episode! And I can't wait to see Shunpei's inner Phantom (just like how Rinko had Jabberwock flying around in her)

:lol well he does have 4 color oriented forms. I figure whichever one of us posts this discussion each week should put 4 main points from the episode in the first post. Each in one of his corresponding colors. 4 forms, 4 colors, it works pretty well.

You should label them like this:

Red (the most used) for the obvious bit of information
Green (second most used) for things that are likely to happen
Yellow (third most used) for things that MIGHT happen
Blue (never used) for random-ass abstract possibilities that could happen, but probably won't

No, no, no, the order should be Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. After that would be the poster's own comments. Let's call that "Heart." :D

But I'm not really finding common ground with this series yet. It's lacking something to make me want to watch it. Maybe when we get to the 10s it'll pick up a bit.

Wizard continues to be good. I was wondering if Shunpei would keep his magic and be an apprentice to Haruto but the route they're going seems nice. That was also a pretty damn cool rider kick. And once again Haruto doesn't get any donuts, at this rate he won't get any until Marvelous gets to finish his curry :lol

I did not know the dragon turned into a giant foot. That is kind of awesome.

Very fun episode. Shunpei is still annoying, but I am finding him kind of funny at times. I'm thinking he's going to be the Ohsugi of Wizard.

It's hard to put my finger on it, but a lot of the tone of this show reminds me more of the earlier Heisei era - the pre-W stuff. In a good way, thankfully.

I'm calling it now: Kamen Rider Dragonzord for the next Sentai's Megazord (or GokaiOh) in Superhero Taisen 2 (assuming they're planning one).

So, great episode. The TV station was a fun place for the main fight. Is it me or is Wizard using a Chinese broadsword style? The spinning of that style works well with the suit's coat tails.

Anyways, I do hope these dragon fights continue because the scale of them is fun even if the CGI isn't great. To bad Wizard's foot goes into an unfortunate place for Kick Strike. :p

So far I've liked every episode more than the last, but this is the first one where the different tones kind of meshed well for me. The plamo familiars not being around didn't hurt.

The Phantoms, I realize they're the villains and therefore necessarily Evil, but they seem especially dickish in this show! They have to basically destroy the Gate emotionally to get them to produce their Phantom, and for the first time I really felt that come across. Rinko was just sort of having a bad day, but this kid Shunpei was just obliterated emotionally. Hellhound just crushed his world on live tv. Scumbag!

I think this works really well to kind of manipulate us into liking Wizard more and more. He's not just saving them, he's helping them. I can see why they're sort of gravitating towards him(beyond the cast-building aspect of that). He's basically a self-help guru, except instead of getting them to help themselves he's literally jumping inside them to destroy their inner demons.

So far we've only seen the robot dragon(does it have a name yet?) in the inner worlds of the Gates. I wonder if that's setting up something, like the Dragon breaking out into the real world. That's another aspect I like - as evil as the Phantoms are, they're kind of secondary to the demons inside the gates. In the few toku shows I've seen the danger from the MOTW seems mostly just talked about and basically exists so the hero can have a reversal at the battle's climax. You always know they'll be defeated because there's some bigger enemy around the corner they have to get to. The Phantoms are the same way, but the stakes continue being high even after they're defeated. The Phantom of the week may be defeated, but that's no guarantee Wizard will save the Gate. I'm wondering when we'll see that happen.

It's called "Wizardragon." It's a very dumb name and like Wizarswordgun, I'm not quite sure how to say it without cursing.

Wizard henshin a la Blade. Loved it.

Anyway, was a nice episode. I felt myself getting pretty sad for Shunpei, so I already know one of these Phantoms is gonna really pull on my heartstrings later on.
I was hoping Shunpei would really be a wizard. Guess not. Shame. I just hope he doesn't fade into the background as much as Double's informants or half the KRC...

Another excellent episode. The fight scenes are beautifully choreographed, and having WizarDragon turned into a giant foot for the Rider Kick was, simply BRILLIANT. Really loving how Rinko is now integrated into the inner circle and how much Koyomi was a bit put off on that.

Having watched Decade, W, OOO, and Fourze, I'd have to say Wizard is the best of the bunch right now. Hopefully the quality will hold up because I am really enjoying each episode every week.

God I hope Shunpei fades out. Listening to him shout Alakazam 30 times was enough for me to hope Haruto would fail and Shunpei would become a Phatom. Overall really enjoyed this episode again. The show has a great early Heisei feel with it's talk of characters dying, bringing despair and such. I really dig that. And it has just enough of the light hearted comedy to enjoy as well. And as for the Rider Kick?

I'm glad the characters are progressively being developed. And that is one awesome Rider Kick.

So is Haruto the Avatar now? He appears to have mastered all 4 elements.

Of course not. He hasn't won the Great Race of Oban yet. :p

I was kinda hoping when he landed from the Rider Kick he would strike the Fourze landing pose. Just for the hell of it.

That Rider Kick was pretty awesome, as was him linking up with the dragon in mid roll.

Shunpei is annoying but, well, that's what annoying sidekicks are supposed to be, so I guess it's not a bug, but a feature.

Really enjoyed this episode. I really like Shunpei and was hoping he would become a wizard, oh well. Thought that was an amazing Rider Kick and a good use of the sleep ring.

I have to hand it to Wizard, its hard to complain about a terrible looking CGI monster when its sharing a scene with a kickass dragon and the rider kick to end all rider kicks :lol

That was a great episode, I think out of all the styles so far Water has been the most impressive so far. Looking forward to more.

That rider kick puts Barnaby Brooks Jr.'s Good Luck Mode to shame.

Most Rider Kicks do that :p

Wizard, so far, anyway, is a bit less comedic than W, OOO, or especially Fourze, but it's still kind of light-hearted, and I like that, for some reason. That Rider Kick is also probably up there with that time Kuuga flipped over a truck as far as awesome bike-related finishers go.

I just had a thought, will the former gates need to continuously wear the engage ring or are Rinko and Shunpei just keeping them for sentiment sake? It would make an interesting finale if near the end the Phantoms found a way to remove all the engage rings and the gates rescued throughout the series start to become Phantoms.

I just had an idea. That Rider Kick vs Giant Foot Module in the next Movie Wars

I thought it was Dragorise? That's based entirely on the ring though, is there a toy solicit somewhere calling him that?

Dragorize is what the Ring declares to summon him. The dragon itself is the WizarDragon.

In Wizard's defence, the CGI used in this show is much, MUCH better compared to previous riders. I mean, imagine how much more terrible the show'd be if it had W's CGI.

At least its not Ryuki level CG :lol

The tech wasn't as good in 2003 ,so it is sorta forgivable.

Oh I know. It's all pretty hard to look at but it's gotten much better just in last 5 years.

ok, just watched ep 3...giant dragon rider kick??? And I was kind of hoping the Hellhound wouldn't have been dispatched...I really liked him and thought he would have made a cool returning character. I do hope to actually SEE a phantom be born, because as of now they are just wasting their limited race it seems...

That's true, but it still sort of hits you in the face when the monster shows up onscreen regardless :lol

Besides, its not like we aren't all used to it by now :D

Watched this during lunch today (glad to be caught up!), and I enjoyed it. The CGI in the Underworld is pretty weak, but the rest of the effects are nice so that's fine. I liked WizarDragon turning into the big ole foot to Rider Kick the Phantom guy. The old jeweler is an intriguing character to me; he makes the rings but doesn't know how they work, huh?

Master Phoenix's little tantrum was cute as well.

Good episode. Digging this show.
