Judging by the fact that she has to drain mana from Wizard to live her inner Phantom may be either Succubus or Vampire.

So, fun, action-packed episode. The 'Copy' ring seems ridiculously powerful if you think about it.

GEE. I WONDER WHO THE PHANTOM KOYUMI SPAWNED IS. IT CERTAINLY WOULDN'T BE THE FEMALE PHANTOM WHO IS COLD AND ALOOF, COULD IT?

Seriously. Unless they pull the twist that she spawned Phoenix or something, this is going to be the least surprising reveal ever.

Solid episode, of course a black guy wouldn't survive past 2 episodes, what was I thinking, and I really wish the finishers for his non-Flame forms were a bit cooler.

Well what we learn about Koyomi in this episode is interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that was what was going on with her. Everything else went pretty close to expected but was fun to watch. Copy Ring is just as broke as GataKiriBa but I suspect we won't see it much because of both that and budget. By the way, was that hot girl in the preview for next episode in a previous Rider or Sentai show? She looks really familiar but I can't place it.

I'm hoping it's a currently unrevealed phantom that she spawned. If you're right though, then maybe Phoenix had a similar situation since those two hang out.

Knew the black guy wouldn't survive too :( Really disappointed in the dialogue he was given as well. Don't know if it's Toei's original dialogue for him or Overtime being a little too casual with the translations but his dialogue is really ridiculous.

This was a good episode but definitely felt less important than the previous ones. Good to see the copy ring kick some ass. Knew we'd be getting a little GataKiriBa action this week :lol And that was a great fight with the phantom. And I see that in next weeks episode that Minami is played by Wakana Matsumoto, Airi from Den-O! Ah, I love her :)

I'm not sure about the limits of Copy, but there's currently one big flaw that separates him from GataKirBa.
The clones perfectly mirrored Wizard. I really want to see it used again in a case where the copies actually act individually...

This felt a little bit weaker than the prior episodes, mainly because Haruto totally went Kabuto in this fight. Didn't take a scratch from dozens of Ghouls and Cat Monster. The only saving grace was that they explained Cat's laziness in the prior episode so it was *somehat* believable he'd leave Haruto alone despite being mana-less initially in this episode.

I'd also agree with above that the finishers for non-Flame mode are pretty weak. Water is a sonic boom, and Air is a hurricane-grab and then. . . a second hurricane. How bout some fancy spinning slashing combo?

Water's finisher should be a flying armbar or something.

I'm willing Earth's finisher will be a ground slash.
What happened to his back flip Flame kick? Why isn't he that flashy for his other forms's finishers?

I'm calling it now: in the penultimate episode Koyomi will somehow end up dissipating into magic dust or something in a heartbreaking scene. She will then return at the end of the last episode as a real, live girl.

Anyway, fun episode. I'm a little bummed the Cat Phantom died, I thought he was fun. Not sure I'd have enjoyed him in large doses, though, to be fair. Still hate Shunpei; the wacky sound effects when he trips over something are not helping. The Trick Vent ring was kind of cool, if not terribly original anymore. The fact that they mimic the main guy instead of acting independently is an interesting spin, though.

Speculation: I figure the Phatoms get their human forms from the humans they were born form (why would they have them otherwise?). So, Koyomi's Phatom should either have no human form or have her human form. Either would open some fun story ideas of a an evil Koyomi.

Another good one. Hurricane is awesome. Someone needs to replace the theme music with "Rock You Like A Hurricane" though :p

You'd think if her Phantom were Medusa they'd have recognized each other.

What about Medusa? Also I just don't think it'd make sense, given that with at least one Phantom(Minotauros) their human form remained the same. Unless he joined the force after he became a Phantom? I suppose that's possible.

BTW if Medusa is her Phantom then I guess we'd definitely be getting a figuarts of Medusa, right? That'd make Medusa pretty important to the ongoing story. Maybe I should start hoping it's true.

It's on the list. Currently watching OOO, Fourze, and Wizard(on top of too many other shows on US tv). It's the first "official" Sentai I'll get to.

C'mon now. All anyone can stare at is Rie's mushroom hat. There's no time to comment on how familiar she looks. :)

Just finished ep5. Is it me or Koyomi gets cuter each episode.

That's all on Overtime. I just watched TV-Nihon's episode 4 and the dude was speaking normally. I was even paying double attention to how he was speaking, to see if he was speaking rudely or like a thug, which could be "creatively" translated. But no, dude was speaking normally.

I think I'm with Matrix on this one, Koyomi is grating on me pretty quickly.

That was an okay episode, but probably the weakest so far. I can't put my finger quite on why, but I think part of it was that it felt a lot more restrained than previous ones. I guess they can't all be rider flip kicks and giant dragon feet :lol

That better not happen, we've had that trope/plot point 3 series in a row now. It's time to give it a rest.

So Wizard can make multiple copies of himself?

Something tells me we'll see him use this ability during Wizard's Summer movie, so all of his forms can fight together at once.:p

I may regret this but I'm calling that the white wizard has alot to do with wiseman even maybe be Wiseman himself.

It's like turning secondary characters to dust is Toei's new big thing. With Philip it was sad, with Ankh it was depressing, and with Kengo it was a tearjerker. But maybe it's time to give it a rest, shall we?

Maybe have Koyomi regain her Phantom so she's not sucking on Wizard's mana all the time.

They're practically waving the flags that Koyumi's gonna die for however brief.
If they want to throw a REAL curveball, have her kick it half way through the series, losing her instant Phantom sense and actually changing the character dynamic rather than kill her off in episode 48 and have her return in/have everyone lament her loss in 49.

I was already bored of it by Kengo, which is why I didn't really feel that moved by that plot point. It was just Philip all over again, right up to the miraculous resurrection.

I shrugged it off with an "eh" cause I knew they were gonna bring him back the next episode.

I figured as much. Overtimes translation is extremely offensive and comes off a bit racist. I hate to be so blunt but I think what they did speaks for itself. I knew they were taking liberties with it but didn't realize just how many.

It's a shame too, since they're always the first out with the translation by a wide margin.

Great episode, but I was hoping we would see Water Form because of Koyomi's talk about Haruto bringing hope. I was so ready to make a Blue Lantern joke. In fact, I'm going to be doing that all season long.

I liked this week's episode..apparently Koyomi is a Nobody :lol again the Style's themes are awesome. On a side note, I'm a bit disappointed that the movie with Fourze isn't called Friendship is Magic. Not like I was actually expecting it to be called that. I wish I had more to say, but I only saw it once at 2 am, so I can't remember half of it :lol
