Recent toy retailer solicitations have apparently confirmed the secondary Rider for Wizards' series- Kamen Rider Beast!

At the moment not much is known, but Beast will use Rings similart to Wizard and a weapon called DiceSaber

I'm not really liking the design.

Reminds me of LaTaTora a little with a lot more yellow, and no mane.

They could just repurpose one of the LataTora suits, because I see it now too.

Don't know about you guys but the very first thing that came to my mind when I saw that belt was the Power Rangers Samurai Shogun Belt:

Beast powers are interesting, but what sets him apart from Wizard? Each secondary Rider has a quirk that puts him in conflict with the main Rider:

Decade: DiEnd wanted to steal everything that mattered to him.
Double: Accel hated Futo due to a big spoiler.
OOO: The first Birth needed money to save himself, but that made him get in OOO's way at times.
Fourze: Meteor thought little of friendship due to a mistake his friend did.

What is Beast's thing that drives a wedge between him and Wizard?

Given the name, maybe he wants people to become Phantoms maybe? Just taking a stab in the dark.

While I doubt it's what we'll be getting, I did have sort of an idea of what their beef could be.
I thought, since matadors tease the bull and make it angry or whatever, that maybe Beast might have a combat style based around manipulating the MotW both emotionally and mentally. In a classic "animal activist vs. someone who doesn't care" sorta thing, Wizard would be against being cruel to the phantoms, and would develop a vendetta against Beast because of this.
Though, I'm sure it'll be something entirely different.

I want Wizard and Beast to be friends from the start, that like, never happens.

True. The last time that happened was Hibiki(and possibly Kabuto, depending on your preferences).

I prefer rivals with the same goals, but either don't like each other for personally reasons (two alpha males in the same room kind of thing) or have different ways of doing things that the other doesn't like (maybe Beast will think the best way to stop a Phatom from being born is the kill the human before transforming. That would be a ton of fun).

the only thing that really freaks me out is how early we got these scans. we didn't get Meteor until November/December o-o

Not a fan of the design at all. Hope that the character is cool though.

He's probably gonna show up early! So this means we'll probably get multiple Riders! Happy Zata is happy.

But that just means that we're gonna get a third rider more than likely. Early scans for Beast just mean that he has an early debut. Which means there's a great potential for a third rider :)

I'm willing to bet it means we're getting more than 2 riders this year. Many of the early Heisei shows had more than 2 riders and the 2nd rider normally showed up before episode 10 if not in the first episode. Considering how Wizard seems to be in part a return to form of early Heisei, they might be doing that again.

also we could have just gotten all of Meteor's scans really late last year XD

Another way he could start off as an enemy/rival of Wizard is maybe he gains the beast powers by destroying the phantoms.If so maybe he's trying to get close to Wizard to go after his dragon.Also I think the design looks cool.The first picture doesnt do it justice,but the second page shows him in a static pose and I like it.

Yeah I'm not really impressed.

I do love the fact he has a Precure Wand as a weapon.

I never go by one picture when I try to judge a new riders look.I remember the rants on how fourze and meteor didnt look good.(not by be,but other unnamed fans).They either didnt look like an insect or just looked weird.I thought it was cool it went to a more sci fi/tech feel,but I was on the fence too.

I learned my lesson.Sure to some the Beast suit may look weird or not good to some,but what if it fits the character perfectly? Like meteor,the suit looked weird with the offset helmet and it barely having any armor on it(cause,yknow most second riders are more armored then the first rider in most series),but when he started fighting like bruce lee,the suit made sense.It was lightweight,making it easier for him to fight like that.

Oh,and sorry for this rant,just my opinion.Not targeting anyone on the forums,I value everyones opinion.This is probably the best forum site Ive ever been on.lol

I think if the series is good and entertaining, suit design is the last thing on anyone's mind UNLESS the suit is really horrible. I was unsure of how Fourze looked too, but in the show itself it made so much sense that I actually grew to not just like the design, but to love it. This has also been the case for many comic-to-movie adaptations of superheroes, who often look terrible at first but make sense in motion.

It wasn't the tech-themed rider that many were hoping for, but I'll be eagerly waiting to see where it goes. Is his name actually confirmed as Beast in that article? Because I personally like the ring of Matador (as suggested above) better, although it's nothing major. I can't wait to get a clear shot of him from the front though, the blurry pictures of his asymmetrical design are oddly intriguing. I'm not too fond of the helmet though, part of me thinks the eyes just look... out of place for some reason. I would have preferred it if he had an eye design similar to Wizard's, if not just for the sake of the show's aesthetic.

While I agree looks aren't everything, meteor's a bad example. He's only gotten more ugly over time. I'm sure Beast can be a great character, but that doesn't change that he looks a lot like OOO, another design I think is kind of ugly.

A pic of his Phantom. Apparently the "Form Change" is the shoulder pad switches, with his base form not having a cape, and the others having one in four different colors, along with a new animal head shoulder pad.

Could be wrong, but the animals seem to be Lion, Bull, Hawk, Pteranadon, and Chameleon.

I like the costume, but I think it would work better with red eyes. I was curious about the other forms because it seemed unlikely they'd make too many figures of the second rider, but from this latest image it seems you just include these things as accessories without overloading him.

The matador thing is interesting, because their graceful fighting style would match Wizard's, I think. It's almost a dance.

I think he'll get red eyes when he gets his second form.

It's hard to judge the design based on these images. He initially feels a bit plain, compared to Meteor and Birth, but it looks like he has a sort of Assassin's Creed thing going on, which could be pretty cool. I love the shoulder mantle.

I'm not really getting the "oh my god this is awesome" feeling I got from Meteor's reveal, but I quite like the name and his phantom so I'll form a proper opinion when I see Beast in action.

The way that ShoulderLeon looks in the new picture reminds me of Drake, but less horrible. Also, his phantom is a chimera with two extra heads and each head attaches to make a new form? Sold!

And now the new picture makes me like him. :P

I still don't like the cape though; that's what initially threw me off from it. And I was initially disappointed it wasn't science-themed... But okay, the different animals is kind of cool.

What I don't dig is the amount of potential/exclusive things we're going to get for this show in the figuarts line. I can totally see bandai making the chimera with detaching cloak parts and just selling Beast in his standard form. Same for the Wizardragon.. It'll combine with the bike and have detachable parts for the Dragon style power ups, no way will they package the parts with the individual forms when they could sell you a whole dragon.

I know I'm thinking ahead, and I hope I'm wrong, mainly for my wallets sake, but we'll see I guess =] if not their's always the WAP line I guess =p

They could do it like Zolda and Magnuiga(I think that's how it's spelled?), where the figure comes with parts that are smaller/more show accurate/etc. but the Dragon could still form said parts.

Yeah hopefully they will, I just have this terrible feeling that they won't =p

I'm just wondering if they're going to be making like 10+ Wizard variant figures. We've seen 8 different Wizard forms, plus you know there's going to be a final form and a movie form or two. Fourze got 7 total, right?

Close. 8. Base, Elec, Fire, Magnet, Rocket, Cosmic, Meteor Fusion, and Rocket-Drill states from the Hyper Battle Video.

Rocket-Drill is just Rocket States with a drill on his arm. If anything, you just need a new head and Module to plop on a Rocket States Figuart.

At least OOO had a set of Toka and Cheetah parts repainted to become Kangaroo parts.
