16 Attachment(s)
Cho GoGo Gattai! Super Formation! Following up Tokunations Super Daibouken Candy Toy gallery is our DX Super Daibouken gallery. The 4 additional GoGo vehicles (Drill, Shovel, Crane, and Mixer) can be piloted individually and combine with the Daibouken itself to form a variety of modes with different arm configurations. Once all the GoGo Vehicles, 1-9. are brought together Super Daibouken is formed! This massive and powerful form first appeared in GoGo Sentai Boukenger Task 10. If this beauty doesn't satisfy you then be prepared for the upcoming galleries of the candy toy and DX Ultimate Daibouken!

You know, Den. That was one of the mechs that grew on me. I didn't like it at first. Thought it looked to cluttered, but I like it now. One of the MMPR Megazords I wish I bought when I had the chance. And another great gallery!
|
I've always wanted the Boukenger mecha, and these aren't helping a whole lot. :lol
I really like all the nice chromey bits on these. We really haven't gotten nice chrome accents on DX Sentai mecha in a while, and I've grown to miss them. |

The Boukenger toys are a lot of fun. Good work on the gallery.
|
The Boukenger stuff is just so brilliantly designed. Not only are the combinations really well proportioned but they retain the base articulation of the Daibouken itself in each mode. The chrome is always a nice touch too. Don't think anyone who owns these should ever worry about flaking though. It's more durable than the kind of cheap stuff that say Hasbro would use.

Yet it's loved by fans the world over. I guess some people have better luck with it than I do. |
Great gallery, Super Daibouken really set the bar high for big combos fitting together seamlessly.
|
the one thing i find interesting is boukenger started the whole trend of clustered up megazords lol but for this thing it works since the pieces were small and not big or wide.
|
Nice Gallery, Looks like I'm going to start throwing money at the Boukenger line now.

Most people hate the DX Siren Builder, but I love that goofy thing!

People bitch about the toys because Siren Builder has the electronic gimmick tied into it's transformation. It makes transformation sounds while converting from one mode to another and makes a completion sound depending on the mode you're going to. And it has a siren sound for vehicle mode and blasting sound to replicate Triplicate Bomber in robot mode. Alot of people hate that his legs are molded together. But I mean come on. Realistically there is no way in hell the thing could transform correctly if they weren't.

So how hard is Super Daibouken to pull off as a transformation? Even in the show it never looked that complicated, but still totally awesome. Mostly what I'm worried about is weight. I bought the Clawzord this weekend, and the Super ClawArmor Megazord whatever I found is it's extremely unbalanced. Always wants to lean forward. Is that a problem with Daibo? |
Those feet keep him stable. The only real problem is whether the ratchets hold him in place. And thats only a real problem when you add Gogojet to the mix.
|
Trust me. Those ratchets are VERY tight. There's no danger of those collapsing. In order to form Super and Ultimate you flip GoGo Dump all the way around and use its back side for the robo's front. Notice the golds kneecaps from regular Daibouken? Those wind up on the back side now for Super and Ultimate modes and keep the legs from falling back. Plus those feet of his are large and in charge.

No problem. Its a truly fantastic set. In my opinion Boukenger was the highest point in DX Sentai toy design. Toys with satisfying complexity and a gimmick that really work together to create truly awesome combined modes. Boukenger just edges out Go-Onger in that regard. And people may have their qualms with Siren Builder, Dai Voyager, and Zuuban because of the electronic gimmicks but once they see my galleries of them, I hope they think otherwise :)
|
I really only like Ultimate Daibouken from this line. Not much reason for me to get the others. Well maybe Zubaan.

DX Zubaan to me isnt really all that fun.just makes slashing noises and when you transform him to humanoid mode i call it he just says ZUBAAN and just a couple random phrases nothing too big on it.siren builder i can see why people disliked it alot since the feel were stationary and couldnt move the sounds were nice but still needed some flare to it.plus it couldnt combine with daibouken anyways lol.daivoyager i just liked that you can put the daibouken on it.boukenger had a nice line but i think UDB was the only good thing out of the whole mecha line to have and the poseability.its good that the pieces you could swamp back and forth but certain stuff were just meh.

I've played with it a few times the size for just siren builder alone is good.true there wasnt really a way for the legs to be seperated but when you look at it in a different view siren builder is one of those mechas where you need the others for more different variations.the thing alone is not worth it just a display piece like the dekabike robo you need the dekaranger robo for the full playability.
|
I had regular Daibouken, but sold it because for what it would cost me to get the other 5 mechs, I was able to get this:

But...then I wouldn't have the gold one. :(
