Rich Medina ... better as Cole (PRWF) or Deker (PRS)?
 

Rich Medina is one of those rare occurences where he once starred as the Red Ranger in Power Rangers Wild Force, and has come back to play a villain Deker in Power Rangers Samurai.

So which do you prefer him as? Cole, the free-spirited Wild Force Red Ranger, or the half Nighlock, half human villain Deker in Power Rangers Samurai?

It's funny, Rick Medina is the main reason I can't stand Wild Force, but also one of the very, VERY, few good things about Samurai. I'm not sure if that says more about Rick Medina or Samurai. :lol

He's pretty terrible in both roles, but still miles above the rest of the Samurai cast. And "my sword Uramasa" is always good for a laugh :lol

Deker it is.

Deker is one of the only joys of the season, and he is alot of the reason why. Including today's episode.

for me this is a hard one due to wild force was the season i stopped getting the toys and samurai the one that got me back in the toys so i am torn and blame decade for this due to i dunno it its rick fault not

I didn't watch much of Wild Force, only their crossover episodes, but I am pretty sure Deker made a much stronger impression on me even in his earlier appearances than Cole ever did. In fact, Deker is one of the most memorable characters of Samurai.

squat i am the only one voting for cole. he does an amazing deker but i find myself more impacted by tarzan... mean cole

You aren't alone. I went with Cole as well. Mainly because he can't hold a candle to the real Juuzo.

never seen wild force and he's the only interesting thing about samurai. without him id have no interest in this series.

But can Cole hold a candle to Kakeru Shishi? :)

What about Rick being one of the only watchable things in Samurai? Without him and Steven.. this show is unwatchable.

I just hope Megaforce is a drastic improvement.

A terrible actor who's better than other terrible actors is still terrible. The only difference is Rick has some degree of experience.

To be honest, he's probably even duller than Cole :lol

man i might be a rare case that i like him in both but i will say after wild force he must of gotten better at acting so i am going to go with deker

You forgot his sword Uramasa.

He never does though ;)

they should put out a Uramasa roleplay toy like the megablade. id so run around "looking" for a duel.

I think it is impossible for a toy that can reasonably capture the imposing length of Uramasa to be made by either Bandai companies. :)

I'm with you. I'd also like a BoJ version Samurai Sword. We are getting a BoJ Shinken-Oh, so having a correct blade shouldn't be that hard.

The BoA spin sword is longer than the BoJ Shinkenmaru. The Shinkenmaru looks like a chubby butterknife in comparison.

I did not know that.. Great, now I have to find one.

That's a fun little factoid. How many sounds does it have over the BoJ version?

Uramasa why do u forsake me?/ Also im kinda surprised theres no roleplay shark sword. Big ol floppy rubber sword with a sharks face. also need one for my 4 inch red ranger.

u know for all the collectors in this great nation you'd think that toylines would be much better than they are. I mean in terms of articulation qualitity and selection we have allowed companys to be lacking. oh well discussion for another thread i guess.
