Power Rangers Megaforce News Round-Up - Ranger Keys in Season 2 "Super Megaforce"
 

We haven't covered a lot of the speculation and rumors surrounding the 20th Anniversary of Power Rangers in the upcoming series Power Rangers Megaforce, but seeing as it's a bit of a slow news week, we decided to round up some of the information floating around out there to share with our loyal readers and viewers here.

Thanks to our good friend Fury Diamond of RangerCrew, we do have some tidbits of information that he has been able to confirm through his inside and very reliable sources. So without further wait, here you go!

The name of the high school our new teenagers with attitude will be attending has not been revealed, but we do know that the initials of the high school will be HCH. Obviously, the last letter will probably stand for "High" (as in "High School" like "Angel Grove High" was "AGH") but what could the rest stand for?

There's been casting sheets and calls for a Silver Ranger. While there has been no confirmation on whether or not there will be any use of the Gokaiger costumes, we do know that the Goseiger costumes, which Megaforce uses, will be carried over and used for Season 2 or "Super Megaforce". Speculation is running rampant that Gokai Silver will in fact be the Silver Ranger.

The biggest question on everyone's mind is whether or not the key (no pun intended) to the Gokaigers transformation, the Ranger Keys, will be used at all in Power Rangers Megaforce. Our friend Fury Diamond has confirmed that YES, Ranger Keys will be utilized somehow in the second season of Power Rangers Megaforce. The obvious conclusion is that Gokai Silver/Silver Ranger will use these keys, but that's simply speculation for now.

Me too. Especially if GokaiSilver is gonna be the only one to use them. I still need KibaRanger/MMPR White Ranger, and that one goes for over $30 on Ebay, which is way to much for me to pay my friend to help me get T_T

I'm hoping for anything that recaptures the magic of previous years and not the 'Dubbed Sentai' we've been getting recently (RPM Excluded of course)

makes me wonder what happens to RoboAlpha in season 2 if they have a silver ranger.

My assumption is that RoboKnight will be like the Blue Senturion ... and at some point will either be incapacitated during the "Legacy War", or will be rendered inert ... allowing for the "Silver Ranger" to transform into him at any time he chooses.

The extra Goki zords, when BoA makes them they should have it come with a Ranger Key instead of the normal figs they been coming with.

Well, Im glad that they are at least incorporating the keys in a way. Im not too happy that they pulled a Dairanger on us, but, I AM SO HAPPY I COULD CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just imported 2 legends mobirates and I am super stoked by the gosei morpher being BoA "high end" that I wouldn't be surprised if we get some super quality keys and phones. I really am hoping for a costume change however so my boys can gokai change into the gokaiger suites!

One thing also that I want to put out there regarding the cards:

I have had some email correspondence with the Sr. R&D Manager of the Bandai Card Division after E-Mailing them regarding the Card Scanner App. He told me aside from the prices of the card packs and the release of next month, most of the cards found in the toys will be exclusive to the toys and different ones will be sold in the card packs. Keep in mind, the Gosei Morpher has over 150 anniversary phrases, so they are going to need LOTS of extra cards for those rangers.

Something to keep in mind is that it is highly doubtful that if they do use Ranger Keys in the second season (and not to be overly negative, I'll believe it when I see it at this point) they will most likely be different and completely incompatible with the BoJ/BoAisa/BoK Mobirates.
Least we all forget the RPM engine souls.

With the Gosei Morpher being a huge step up from previous Bandai of America morphers, they could go all out with the Mobirates and Ranger Keys too. It might not be compatible with the BoJ stuff, but it probably is going to be way better than the Engine Cells we got.

Here's hoping. I usually try to see the bright side of things, but the way Bandai and Hasbro have been lately even I've been getting a little jaded.

cb1, we understand your concern my friend, but there is no way that will happen. Most likely if BOA will go with the Ranger Keys, they will be of the DX/Candy Toy Variation, which can only be separated into pieces if you have something that can remove pins and screws. There have been toys with smaller parts before, from Transformers to Bionicles to TMNT. If a child does choke (for some reason) on a Ranger Key part, it's really the parent's fault for buying their kid the key in the first place. I hope you don't see this as yelling but just an analysis on what would happen if they did release Ranger Keys. Plus-

Here's a Ranger Key in my hand that I customized. My hands have been told to be smaller than the average male, even at my near age of 20. I've had a visiting child handle them before, and they are in no danger of choking on these.

Yes cb1, but that is irrelevant to what your concern is. Sure Saban brings the footage, but he is not the one who produces the toys. Bandai does. It's really on them if they make the ranger keys able to be disassembled, but I highly doubt it, even with the cheap things they make nowadays. We know you're concerned, but it'll be alright buddy.

I mean, there is a Bandai building near my sister's boyfriend's house. I could try spying when I go back :lol

how do you know they wont be using ranger keys at all? do you have some sort of inside information?

The guy who has real inside sources claimed that they are using keys.. and he's been right with his sources in the past... so I'm going to believe it's a possibility, but not a rumor.

You could be right. Some signs point to you being right. However nothing is sure. What is surely true, is that there will be keys involved, either replacing cards or working alongside cards somehow. Or just for scenery. Who knows.
