Let's Watch Wednesday - TokuNation Users Decide Next Series!

As you know, we started a tradition last year with our Let's Watch Wednesdays segment, where every week on Wednesdays we'd discuss two, sometimes three previous Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and/or Power Rangers series in segments of episodes. This has proven to be a big hit, as it seems every site now has it's own Let's Watch segment!

This time we want YOU to decide what the site should watch for the month of February! Aside from the premiere of Kyoryuger and the on-going Kamen Rider Wizard, there's a plethora of old series from Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and 20 years worth of Power Rangers to pick from.

Click "Discuss" and nominate the series that YOU want to watch! Once we've gathered enough nominations, we'll open it up to polling ... and once that's said and done, you will have decided our next Let's Watch Wednesday show. We're only doing one show this time (because I think the whole tokusatsu community is itching for Kyoryuger), so think long, hard, and then nominate the series you want to watch!

Let's Watch Wednesday will return in full force in February, with the show YOU voted on!

Dekaranger!

Well, if we can find the full subs, I'd wanna have for the Sentai Side, Mahou Sentai Magiranger. It was my first Sentai Series and although some might say it's not so good, I think it'd fit along with our current airing Kamen Rider Series, Wizard due to both being Magic-oriented.

For Kamen Rider, I know this is stereotypical since you all know me, but why not try Kamen Rider OOO? Several new members who have joined up over the course of December 2012-present have stated they haven't seen a Kamen Rider Series before, and it has been recommended to them by several people that OOO is a good starting point.

On the Super Sentai side of things, I'd say Magiranger. Fantastic series which drew me into watching Super Sentai in the first place when I saw the images online while S.P.D was airing. It'd be fun to rewatch the show. Slight alterior motive because I have that series still saved from my college days :lol.

Kamen Rider wise...Mido wants some strange so...I'd say either Kamen Rider Black or Blade.

I'm all for Kamen Rider Black on the Rider side.

For Power Rangers, how about Lost Galaxy? It's right up there at the top of the page and everything! That show brings back a lot of good memories from college for me and would love to revisit it.

It might end up being only myself and Baltan II, but dagnabit, I'm going to start a Let's Watch Wednesday for the Ultra Series!

I would be all for this, but wouldn't know what one to suggest.

TVN has done Magiranger. That one was slightly hard to watch. Not that it was bad, but each episode didn't give me that drive to want to watch the next one. The only show that has done that really well for me I think was Fourze. But every SS and KR series I have watched through so far, I have thoroughly enjoyed.

I have yet to watch through Hibiki, but I'm not sure I'm feeling that one right now. I think I'd be up for Kabuto or Kiva. The designs from those shows are really growing on me.

Kabuto for sure,cause we all need to walk the path of heaven.:P As for sentai,total toss up.

For the Sentai side of things, Gekiranger, Gekiranger, Gekiranger! Everyone needs to be exposed to beauty known as Juken Sentai Gekiranger. It's a series I've been itching for a reason to watch again, and I want everyone here to see why I constantly talk about and praise it. It's a story driven, serious, yet still fun series, with something for everyone to love.

For Kamen Rider, Black. I need a reason to watch it, and Let's Watch is good enough should it win.

For Power Rangers, Operation Overdrive. Don't fight it. You all know you want to watch it :p

It was my original intention to more closely follow the LWW for Jetman, but that plan got kiboshed when my computer had seemingly died and by the time I found it wasn't... many weeks had passed. At least I did find a Sentai series I liked!

I would suggest Ultraman Max but that series is being subbed at the same pace as continental drift. If I had to nominate another Ultraman series, I'd probably say Ultraman Mebius. It offers a little bit of everything when it comes to Ultraman and has been fully subbed by Fushigi-chan, even the movies!

If a vote for an Ultraman series never gets off the ground, I'd instead lend my support to Agito. I still hear good things about Sun Vulcan, so I'd support that for a Sentai.

Reminder, though, that while most of us have been nominating multiple shows, like one for Sentai, one for PR, one for Rider, only one series total will be the next LWW. The multiple series format in the past seems to split up viewers and leave one of our shows in the cold, and the whole format of the system is intended to encourage watching something we might not otherwise on our own, so we're giving it a shot. Same with giving you, the people, the opportunity to pick what we see.

SS: Gekiranger or Magiranger.
KR: Agito or Black.
PR: SPD.
OTHER: GARO. Always Garo. And then it's sequel series.

due to this year is the BIG 20 for PR and i say we should watch the Sentai that started Power ranger Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.

I just started Black , so I'll throw that one out so I have more people to chat with. As for Sentai... I say unsubbed carranger. So we can all watch the madness and try to make sense of it.

I'm in agreement here, so for the purposes of nomination let's go with Mebius. Doubt it will get many votes but hey, you never know!

Kamen Rider Black. Let's get more people to check out some good old-fashioned Showa toku (and give me an excuse to rewatch it).

I'm surprised you didn't pick Daimaijin Kanon. :p

No one's going to vote for that. And Black is better anyway.

The first two are purely selfish as I'm watching them at the moment and I'm more likely to keep up with it unlike Jetman which i fell behind on =p

Still amazing to me that Black and Black RX are honestly considered Showa. Black came out in 1987 for crying out loud! 3 years after Gojira '84! Yeesh! But I guess the line of demarcation is nebulous for the different properties.

Still rocks the party that rocks your body though!

Currently getting back into Kamen Rider W at the moment, so I think I'd have to pick a Sentai show like MagiRanger.

Would love to re-watch Power Rangers in Space!

Decade should never be watched unless you're trying to show someone how not to make a show.

On the Kamen Rider side, I'd say either OOO or Kuuga, I'm about halfway through each and OOO has me addicted to watch in a 6 or more episode binge every time I come back to watch a two parter. Kuuga should come back to me after a long break, get reinvested in the characters and Yuuske.

A word of warning to people who are going to watch Kuuga, its dark. I MEAN DARK. I don't mean that in a violence aspect too much but in its tone and monsters. In modern Hesei series, not very many pedestrians die in the monster of the week attacks. Kuuga? Hundreds of innocent lives are getting killed by the Grongi. The police even have a tally of how many are dead in some episodes. And the monster's human forms are creepy as hell. Tattoos, weird language, and just something off. There's even one part that hints at the monster decapitated people.

Everything else.. Don't know or care.

See, this where having only watched Gokaiger, Akibaranger and W comes in handy. :lol

For Sentai, its easy for me to cheat and say Shinkenger or Go-Onger because I've got them on my HDD. But honestly, I'm gonna go for Gekiranger. Mainly because I dug their suits in Gokaiger, and the idea of two villains becoming rangers intrigues me. Also, Matrixbeast won't shut up about how awesome it is. :lol

For Kamen Rider, I'm throwing my weight behind Black. Or Kuuga. Or Agito. Oh god, I can't choose. :lol

It still has more to do with the era Black is in. I consider Shin, J, and Zo to be part of the Showa era too.

Oh, and I vote for Black as well for the Kamen Rider side of things.
