S.H. Figuarts Phoenix Phantom Revealed!
 

Thanks to the thorough sleuthing of staff member KamenRiderOOO we've dug up our first official picture of S.H.Figuarts Phoenix Phantom from Kamen Rider Wizard!

The source of this picture is as of yet unconfirmed, much like the price, release date, and release format of this figure. We'll update you as this story develops!

Well I didn't see this coming. I wonder if Medusa or Wiseman will follow.

Looks pretty good, but this is probably gonna be a pass from me. I'm not invested in this show enough yet to get anyone outside of Flame Style and Beast.

If he's not exclusive, then so bought (One of the perks of being the only good monster design).
Better come with his huge ass sword, and a stand that looks like him broken into tiny little bits :lol

This figure looks way better than the actual suit. Am I the only who thinks that? On show he just looks so plain and cheap.

On show he's the only one that looks like any time was spent making it. ESPECIALLY compared to his bosses, Medusa and Wiseman.

Well if I end up getting that I gotta get the Tajador combo SHF.Battle of the Firebirds.lol

I'll give you that. But it doesn't change my opinion that his design is pretty generic and boring. I just think the figure looks better than the suit.

I agree with Matrix. Medusa I'll buy no matter what, but Phoenix is only if he's not an exclusive. He looks like he'd be an excellent display peice if nothing else.

Medusa is a no sell. I'd rather get a legion of Decades before I purchase a Medusa.

I love that metallic red paint they use for these, especially when they use it for the red to orange gradations on Phoenix like this. Very cool!

Very nice, he's definitely pulling a Ryuki survive where the figure looks better than the suit.

Will definitely get him if he's general sale, if he's exclusive he'll have to hit 'dat price' first. Although I do love his big ass sword...

I actually quite agree. His suit has always bugged me, because it seems too obviously a suit.

I can't say this is a definite want yet (especially if it's an exclusive, which it likely is), but... I wouldn't mind owning it.

On the plus side, getting villains so early is a good thing no matter what.

Really? I like Medusa's design alot. But I'd buy a legion of Decades just to have a legion of Decades.

Imagine how exhausted and out of breath Narutaki would be if there was a legion of Decades.

Uh no. I want all of the main villains for every series. That means I want Birugenia, the Gorgom priests, Dr Shinigami, all of the King, Queen, Jack, and Joker Undeads, Lucky Clover Orphenochs, etc.

Well good luck with that then. If sales numbers for villains/monsters from previous rider shows indicate anything, it's that no one wants to buy them. It's why a majority of Greeds and Zodiarts were exclusives. I can almost guarantee you that however many Phantoms they decide to make for Wizard, that a maximum of 2 of them will be non-exclusive. Phoenix and Medusa may be the 2 retail releases and they'll probably do Wiseman plus whoever else as exclusives.

Children and even collectors in Japan don't like to buy bad guys. Sales numbers for villains are always pretty low. Poor sales of the first few Zodiarts are what led to the rest of them being Figuarts Zeroes actually. So the prospects of getting more villains, especially from more out of circulation Showa series, are very slim.

I hate that. The villains are just as important as the heroes. I mean, imagine if someone only made Batman and Robin, and no one for him to fight. As great as it is to own that Batman and Robin, it just looks boring to not have any of his enemies there to be displayed with him. It's kind of the same for the rangers and riders. Sure, I haven't had the money to pick up the villains yet for any riders sans Shadow Moon, and Basco is the only Sentai villain I have right now, but it doesn't make them any less important to the show. I'm not expecting Monsters of the Week despite how cool that would be, but they need to do at least the main trio of villains. ZyuRanger is worthless without Grifferzor. DaiRanger needs at least Shadam. GashuSkull is necessary for the KakuRangers. Zeonette needs to be there for RedRacer. Zlypheeza and his siblings to combat GoGoV. Jeanne and Rijewel for the AbaRangers. ETC.

Both really happy..and really sad to hear this news.

I was hoping Phoenix would get the Figuart treatment, he'll go so nice with my Wizard when I get him, but at the same time I probably won't actually be able to get Phoenix, plus he'll likely not be a mass retail release, meaning he'll be stupid expensive anyways.
