Power Rangers Armored Might Figures
When the battle rages take the action to the next level by attaching the armor and multiple weapons to your Armored Might Figure! The figure comes with an assortment of battle gear for an even more extensive play pattern and value. Each figure also features over 20 points of articulation to create the amazing show accurate battle poses. Battle as the Megaforce Power Rangers or as your favorite Rangers from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers original series! (each sold separately) Power Rangers Armored Might Figures SRP $16.99 (each sold separately) |
HA! There are 21 points of articulation not 20! Feet, shins, knees, thighs, hips, stomach, chest, head, shoulders, upper arms, elbos, for arms and wrists.
Check out the Toy section in the Forums, I did a picture review and video review of the Megaforce Ultra Armored Red Ranger. |
Where the hell is the Green ranger? WTF BoA?
|
Call me when the White Ranger figure reaches retail. I was expecting him in the first wave, but all that's being shipped out are the Megaforce Red and Blue Rangers and the MMPR Red Ranger.

And what Shin said. Not to mention the surprising amount of accessories. These figures if nothing else look like a lot of fun. |

1) Figuarts look just fine with all those lines. Yeah, the Figuarts are a bit smaller, but given the mass difference between characters it's understandable. Also, the Super Legends exist. White and Green can look Classics Lion-O in the eyes.
2) I never complained these are muscle bound. My complaint is their proportions are terrible. The top of torso is to wide compared to the bottom and the arms. It throws everything off wether muscle bound or not. The armor only makes it worse. |

Also, considering how much people cared about the scale of the Dragon Knight Figmas vs. Figuarts, size difference does play a factor, it seems. |
Here's a comparison. Low quality but, shows differences:

Yeah, I'm basically gonna get these for the cards.

It's pretty sad when Matrixbeast is making the only decent point (the price)

Now, the point made was that Figuarts can not fit in with Marvel Legends/ThunderCats/DCUC. I do not own an Armor Might figure, but I do own a Lion-O that Armor Might borrowed parts from so I'll be using that. Here's a picture with ML Spider-Man, SL White Ranger, SHF Gokai Red, and Classics Lion-O. I tried my best to get a level image. It's not perfect, but they are all standing as straight as a I can get them and all touching the wall to give the best comparison in size. http://i1131.photobucket.com/albums/...aleCompare.jpg Are these lines made on different scales? Yes. Is it a significant difference? Not unless you're really anal about it. The biggest difference is not the scale, but the (for lack of a better word) "beefness" of the characters. Rangers aren't "beefy," while most comic super heroes are. |
Oh, wow. Completely missed people complaining about the heights. I was thinking of the incessant moaning on Rangerboard of the beefiness when I posted that picture.
Still see almost no reason to compare them to figuarts, other than the articulation. They have different target demographics, economies and markets from figuarts depending on if you buy Shinkenred/gold or import any other. The items themselves have different goals. It's like comparing oranges and grapefruits. They look similar, but serve much different purposes. |

"why the does any ADULT COLLECTOR (no other "demographic") want these when we know there's a much better toy coming aimed directly at the adult collectors? Price difference aside, what is the appeal of these figures?" |

That doesn't mean they'll see a release, or else I'd be holding a Kurojishi Rio. |

I understand some do. And they can. I just don't either. For the price, these are freaking fantastic figures. No doubts about that. I just am turned off by the exaggerated musculature. |
Well for me I am buying both Figuarts and these Armored Might figures. I don't mind having multiple versions/toys of the same character(s), I think it's cool to see how they differ.
