What the Hell. Isn't this how Resistance got started? I just watched video of this on MSNBC and it was five minutes of pure what the hell is happening. I don't blame those people for running. If I saw that I'd think we were under attack to, I certainly wouldn't think meteor. Combine that with the 2012DA4 (I think) asteroid that passed 17,000 miles off our atmosphere? I think space hates us. Despite what Fourze's been telling me.

Speaking of Fourze, early reports confirm a man with a rocket shaped head has been spotted heading towards the meteor being quoted as "Going to make friends with it!"

That made me honestly laugh.

I just watched the videos of this myself. That is some crazy stuff. If I was driving down the road and saw that shit coming at me I'd probably wet myself, crash my car, and die from fright. Not necessarily in that order.

There's apparently about 1000 people who've been injured as a result of the shockwaves from this thing. The sonic boom it created shattered glass across an area miles wide. So there are 100's of people who were looking at it through their windows and now have glass shards in their eyes :(

Knew about this since this morning. The crazy thing is all the damage that was done from the shockwaves before it crashed.

That sounds too impossible to be anything.

Because of the sonic boom, yea. And worse it crashed through a factory where people were working, and a frozen lake. Not to mention the car crashes from people who saw the bright flash when it broke up and swerved. It's a whole mess.

All things considered, things could have gone a lot worse. After all, an asteroid (a space rock much large than a meteorite) just missed the Earth today.

WOw, that is gorgeous.

Yes, I know how tragic it is for those affected, but the meteor itself in the videos is so pretty. Watching it's colors change on the camera, the sky looking like the sun is setting, and then the smoke it leaves in the sky is beautiful.

Damn, that's the kind of thing you never expect to see outside of movies. I hope all the injured parties make a quick recovery.

Little wonder some of the people affected thought they were under attack. I would to.

Poor injured russians. I hope they all recover fine.
