S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ranger/ MMPR Green Ranger Official Images
 

The official Bluefin Tamashii Faceebook Page has just posted up official images for S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ranger or as he'll be known by his US release, the original Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger!

Dragon Ranger/Green Ranger will come with his trademark Zyusoken/Dragon Dagger as well as the Hellfried Sword/Sword of Darkness. It does not however appear at this time that the Dragon shield is removable for use with Tyranno Ranger/MMPR Red Ranger. US retail for this figure will be $44.99 through Bluefin, Japanese pricing is unconfirmed at this time.

Since I recently find myself wanting to get all the Sentai Figuarts, even those from shows I haven't seen, I'm sure I"ll end up with Red and Green.
Green looks like he's worth getting on his own anyway, I like the design.
And if I get one, I'd better get them all.

i don't even own it and i can already tell you that it's my favorite action figure!

Beautiful. Just a shame he didn't come with something to give the shield to Tyranno Red.

While he wouldn't have the arm bands, I can't see anything that would stop you popping the head and arms off and taking the shield off. Given you can see the white diamond on the chest its obviously not fixed down at the front atleast.

It's a Figuart, so I see that breaking a joint somewhere.

Figuart heads are ridiculously easy to take off, otherwise there wouldn't be a bunch that come with alternate heads.

The head isn't a problem, but I imagine the armour is fixed on there. The straps around the chest probably won't move either. I'm sure you'd be able to remove it with enough effort, but his dinobuckler would still be inaccurate and it seems unnecessary when they're just going to release an armoured Tyranno Ranger later anyway.

Hmm yeah. On closer inspection if it looks like the shield is fixed anywhere its those straps.

Eh. Unless they make Polluticorn or Hatchasaurus, no big loss. :lol

Anyway! Beautiful looking figure. Glad I preordered mine, he looks like he will be worth every penny.

Now we just need an SRC Dragoncaesar and we'll be in business...

I'm calling it now: we'll get a TyrannoRanger with the Dragon Shield as a web exclusive.

same as long it comes the a seprate form as an iteamf or head sholder dress for Daijyjin then im in also dragonzord in battle mode as well

An SRC Dragoncaesar would crack the Internet in half. For real this time.

I mean, the SRC Megazord has already started the fault lines moving. Add Dragonzord to the mix and it'll be like something out of an Irwin Allen movie.

That is a thing a beauty. Finally, I'll have a complete posseable show accurate Dragon Ranger.

That would be a pretty huge accessory, plus it would require a whole new head for Daizyujin since the horns can't fold back like on the DX.

I'm probably in the minority, but I have little to no interest in an SRC Dragonzord. I'd rather them get through the main mecha before moving into sixth ranger and additional ones.

If Bandai want to appease PR fans too, give us Dairenoh (or RyuuseiOh given that he's been made already) and Muteki Shogun :D

My goodness that thing is glorious. Looks like I may be asking for a lot of Sentai stuff for the various gift giving occasions this year (Father's Day, Wedding Anniversary, Christmas...)
Maybe I just need to switch my Transformers obsession over to a more full involved Toku one.

Or a Japanese retail store exclusive with a one-day online sale. Like Storm and Flame Agito.

There's been no indication of that happening yet.

I highly doubt it. They're still being distributed by Bluefin and there is not an agreement between them and TRU. We got Shinken Red and Gold before, but those were not distributed the same way. Like SRC Daizyujin, I bet they would be available on the TRU website at some point. But almost assuredly not in stores.

I see, but there's been no official word of any kind on these being released through TRU. People had assumed the same thing about SRC Daizyujin when it was brought over by Bluefin but it turned out to only be available on the TRU website. There's no word of them being at TRU, I'd say more than likely it'll be your typical specialty and comic shops carrying this one like most standard Bluefin releases.

Not as into the stuff as some of you but I don't remember the green ranger having that crazy silver sword?

He only uses it in "Green with Evil" when he's under Rita's spell. It's only in that arc in Zyuranger as well.

I'd love to buy the Armored costume version of the Red and White Rangers from the MMPR Movie.

I think they might be more suited to the SIC aesthetic, but I would totally buy them all if they were made.
