Kyoryuger Zyudenryu #9 Pleson, PlesOh, Bakuretsu Kyoryuzin Revealed! [UPDATED]
 

Not to be outdone by the reveal of Tobaspino we've received yet another set of Kyoryuger toy catalougue scans! This time we have our very first look at Zyudenryu #9 Pleson in it's semi-dino/rocket ship mode, as well as it's own robot mode PlesOh!

AND we have our first look at Pleson's combination with Gabutyra and Bunpachy, Bakuretsu Kyoryuzin! This combo features an almost centaur like appearance with Gabutyra's torso pointed forward (as in T-Rex mode) and Pleson riding atop him. Bunpachy makes up the left arm while the forward section of Pleson's vehicle mode makes up the right. Truly an awesome and interesting combination to behold!

Really fascinating, the mecha are really starting to come together. Bakuretsu Kyoryuzin looks kind of weird, I can't tell what I'm supposed to be looking at yet. However, I must say I really love PlesOh, I think it has an amazing Robot mode!

CALLED IT! I knew that Pleson was going to be another full robot like Ptergodon.

Love the beast mode. It looks like the ship from Firefly! I also like the robot mode a lot as it makes me think of a Super Sentai Galvatron. But Bakuretsu Kyoryuzin looks like a bit of a mess (but in a good way).

Looking at PlesOh's chest symbol and seeing how it resembles the Kyoryuger's own chest symbol, what if PlesOh is actually a sentient giant robot ranger itself?

That would be cool but if logic dictates anything it's that so far we have 7 Zyudenryu. And each of them has a partner ranger. Even the movie exclusive Tobaspino has a partner so that makes 8. We're most likely getting a ranger for each of the 10 Guardians. Which means Pleson, Bunpachy, and Bragigas will have rangers too even if they only cameo briefly.

Absolutely amazing, love it on it's own and the combo with Gabutyra looks promising. Can't really tell at the moment, but I have hope =)

This series may leave me broke, but I can tell I'll be so, so happy =p

EDIT: Actually, which is meant to be the dino mode? The bottom image or the top?

I'm torn. I like Pleson, but he doesn't really fit the aesthetic the other Zyudenryu have. While all those are distinctly dinosaurs even with their bright colours, Pleson is looks far more mechanical and thus the dino shape is obscured. Having a ship mode doesn't really help that either.

The combinations are really cool though.

It does look more mechanical than the others but also you have to remember that the others also have pretty clear design influences other than their dino parts. Gaburtyra doesn't mave much extra to speak of, Stegotchi just has that blade that pops up. But Dricera literally has a drill, Zakutor becomes a slashing weapon, Parasgun is obvious, Ankydon has a giant mallet. Petargodon I'm not sure what they're going for. Pleson having some sort of ship or submerisble mode makes sense but it's only in that mode before you insert the zyudenchi. Once that's in there the giant pontoon like things on the side rotate down and his flippers pop out for his dino mode. So really yes he has a "vehicle mode" but only in a broad sense of the term.

Now that I'm awake, I think I can say something a little more coherent about this Beauty. I love him. I adore the rocket mode, and I absolutely love his Robot Mode. Where it falls apart is the combination with Gabutyra. And where he gains a Dino Crotch. That I'll have to think about.

Cant wait to get all of these, dont care if theres an ultimate combination, these are going to be a hell of a display

The bottom one with the "engine thrusters" is probably the dino mode because you can see the flippers in that mode.

So if this is the awesomeness we are getting for Pleson I wonder what Bragigas is going to be? Maybe a dino version of SaDaiOh? Or will it be more like a Titanus? I.E. gigantic but no robot mode.

Bragigas has been teased to be a giant carrier capable of carrying kyoryuzin (combined with Pteraidenoh) along with Zakator Parasagun and possibly Ankydon & Bunpacy. Its also rumored to have its own robot mode which uses Bunpachy and Ankydon as arms.

Wow, certainly didn't see that combination coming. Now we know why gabutrya has that slope on his back. Very sneaky Bandai.

I'm loving the robot mode, but the Dino mode really suffers here. It barely looks like a dinosaur. Course I'll always leave it in robot mode anyway, but still.

I see what you mean. However, I think the dino mode still looks great in a hybrid vehicle/dino sort of way, like a Go-onger or Goseiger mecha.

I do wonder what sort of electronics Pleson comes with? Do we know if Pteragodon has any electronics?

I assumed Pteraiden-Oh had electronics since he's a torso.

Man, with all these electronics, this is a very expensive line. :(

Here's hoping a deluxe scale Bragigas doesn't go the way of the dx Brachio mech from the Abaranger line...

Please don't remind me. The one that should have happened was incredible. A truly massive and amazing toy. The one we got was passable but nowhere near the scale and glory of the real Brachio.

If they pull that with Bragigas that will break me :(

Considering the scale that's being rumored for this thing I think it'll actually happen. It'll be like the Saidaioh of Kyoryuger, massive, and probably have an electronic gimmick. It'll be just big enough for the carrier gimmick to really work but just the right size to also be it's own towering robot.

The thing with the Abarangers Brachio is that it was originally supposed to be so large that the 3 main Bakuryu that make up AbarenOh could fit inside of it. It should have been MASSIVE. Here's what was actually made:

I guess they got a wee bit too ambitious with the design. Still the end robot was pretty sweet and since it doesn't actually combine with the core three mecha I guess they saw a worthwhile trade-off.

If Bragigas is supposed to combine, it will HAVE to be in-scale.
