I hate say it but this episode underwhelmed me. I felt no real energy or excitement with golds first battle. This should have been a much longer story arc. Atleast 8-10 episodes.

Gold is kind of neat. Too bad the rest of the episode was awful. I'm going to try to give this a couple of more episodes to see if Gold can save this show.

KyoryuGold fking kicked ass. I think he's the most impressive sixth ranger that I have ever seen. I'd like to use Gold's 3 moves of doom with his sword as my sig lol.

Can't wait for next week. I am waiting impatiently every week for new episode now.

Who's going to die by the end of the show; Torin or Gold?

What I enjoyed most of this episodes was the rangers using their brains. I know it sounds odd but it was refreshing to see then all thinking of ways to fight their enemies. We don't get that a lot.

One nit-pick though. Dear Bandai, I don't care what kind of sword technique you make up wood cannot, under any circumstances, conduct electricity.

I was thinking that too :lol

Anyway, was nice to see Souji's father tied into the episode, and Ramirez is always fun.

As for the episode itself...Eh. I liked it. Problem being that, while Beast in KR Wizard was a shining subversion of the typical secondary Rider, KyoryuGold is playing the sixth ranger slot annoyingly straight. Evil turned good who's now a loner? Oh boy, it's not like we haven't seen that all the time.

Anyway, I did find it fun seeing the rangers operate in more than just brutish ways, which was fine.

Gold's insert song is sexy.

Honestly, he doesn't seem anymore antagonistic than the other Kyoryugers were at the start. And it makes sense to me that he'd be hesitant to give King the respect his nick-name implies, given the time period he came from.

I like the look of Kyoryu Gold's sword. The functionality (with the batteries) is beyond stupid though.

i like this season more than gobusters, yeah gold's fight was short but he's still awesome, i cant wait to get his gear accept the belt which i dont like.

They turned the Gaburyu Revolver into a Fart Gun? Why do I have the feeling that someone on the creative side must've seen Despicable Me?

Love Gold's music, hate his personality and typical "Lone 6th Ranger" dickbaggery. Y'know what made Ramirez awesome? He helped out and didn't need to be convinced to, or test his own strength, or learn to respect the others. Hell, he even came back from his quest just to help out! Ramirez gets shit done.

Also, Daigo needs to grow his ancestor's fancy moustache! That'll get him respect. With great moustache comes great responsibility

Yea gotta agree Gold music was pretty awesome, beside his awesome weaponary would, Gold have a "Armor on" feature like the rest of the Kryoruger or is fist gauntlet and thunder sword is set and done?

So Gold is a total badass. I loved his henshin music and his gauntlet. It doubles as a great weapon too, however the sword feels a little nerfy. This was a really awesome intro for his character, the build up was solid as well. Looking forward to Raiden Kyoryuzin in the next few episodes. Perhaps my only complaint with Gold is his face, it's not that he's over-emotive but he just moves his face too much. Does that make sense?

Cyan was a nice bonus this episode too! :D

And seriously who is the one party pooper that gives Kyoryuger episodes a bad rating every week? This week especially, this was an excellent episode.

Blade Raider maybe? He hates the show.

I just watched the subs,loved it.It showed how King knows his team when he was talking to Souji's dad.He's like "Nah,he should be fine right about now" and gets a call from him.I agree with Balt though.A wooden sword,no matter the explanation,doesn't do that.Apparently it has something to do with static electricity.

I love his sword.Sure it feels "nerfy",but it a Pteradon head! Love that he has two weapons as well.Dammit,why they makin me chose between KyoryuBlue and Gold,they both kick ass! I think they got Gold introduced early so they can focus on the stories of each Kyoryuger.They also have the past 3 Kyoryugers/Jyudenchi to find.

Overall it was a great episode.I think it was good that they introduced Gold early. I like that they never mention where Dogold went,just that he vanished. I also liked that they thought out a strategy before going into the big fight.It was a great episode,and a great setup for the rest of the series.

Probably Torin…only to get brought back to life again before the episode is over.:lol

Although would Toei really kill off a sixth ranger two years in a row?

Does it matter,we've already seen that no matter what,you can apparently jump out of your body and walk around like normal whenever you want

I thought it was okay. KyoryuGold has a nice design and fighting style, but I'm kind of getting tired of Daigo's eternally optimistic and supremely confident shtick. Let's see some faults in the guy for a change.

He never has any concerns or worries. He's always been right.
We still have at least 30-40 episodes of Kyoryu to go through. I'll tell you now that his shtick will get old.

I liked KyoryuGold more than I was expecting. I think his whole samurai schtick would be pretty awesome, and I just had a why-didn't-I-see-it-before moment when I realized his changer/weapon is an arbalest! Freakin' wrist bow already beats out the GaburiChanger in my opinion. :lol

Looking forward to seeing more of him.

I'm pretty sure his optimism will come back to bite him sooner or later, but I like it so far. Probably any faults of his will be tackled like Gentarou's: makes reckless and stupid decisions, but ultimately his "heart" wins over or something. (Ran would be so proud)

Honestly, right now Daigo is reminding me a lot of Marvelous but without the swagger. And the swagger is what made that character work. it's kind of like the difference between Kabuto and Decade for me.

I think we'll see faults and mistakes on Daigo's part. It is,like was said,only ten episodes in of about what,50? I think everyone will get their time too for their own episodes.

I thought it was a pretty neat episode. Nice to see Souji and Amy breaking out instead of having to be rescued.

Bring back Souji's dad was a nice touch, the wooden sword not so much...

Gold is pretty cool, I dig that his changer is a mini crossbow type thing, pretty neat. His sword.. yeah less so.. Although it's name is kind of cool. The not approving of King thing makes sense and is a better reason then, no I've been a bad guy. I'm assuming he was just a loner for this fight as he wanted to gain his honour back, y'know cus thats a pretty big deal to Samurai.

And Pteradainoh still has those damn crotch claws.

Gold's introduction is a textbook Sixth appearance, almost down to teh exact minute the soldiers show up for his ass-kicking demo. Are they really so afraid to take chances after Go-Busters?

I have to disagree. Gold just spins around. The other Kyoryugers perform a mini samba dance (and a fairly difficult one at that—I still haven't hotten the hang of it).

I like this episode, but that loner Sixth Ranger schtick is a bit bland.

Also, I'm not entirely sure why Amy is ashamed of her… secret. However, I have to ask; was anyone else expecting Amy to confess her undying love for Souji before they escaped?

And I disagree with you. Out of all the love I have for this show I really don't care for the silly dance. When Daigo did it the first time I felt like it could have just been him improvising because of his excitement. Now it seems forced each time they do it. Gold's little spin dance thing worked for me though, but it'll probably get old too.

I think Kyoryuger is intentionally doing everything that's opposite of what Go-Busters did. Go-Busters had incredibly slow pacing, Kyoryuger rushes through stuff. Go-Busters had really atypical extra Rangers, Kyoryuger's is really stock.

Well, everyone has different opinions. I just found KyoryuGold a bit… lazy. Not in terms of how he was written, but rather how he just spins around, as opposed to an intricate dance. Furthermore, the regular Kyoryu Change is better for the role-playing children who copy the characters at points—they get some more exercise (physical and cognitive) when they copy the Kyoryu Changes.

I was gonna say,I like how the people who don't like the henshin samba are complaining that KyoryuGold's henshin dance is too small or not intricate enough.I'm pretty sure they made it a more traditional japanese style dance set around the era of his character.Also his character being the super serious sixth ranger probably wouldn't look too good doing the entire samba dance.

Like I said,I agree that his appearance was rushed and generic,but it gives more time to build him as Gold during the rest of the season.With so much more stuff in the series still unexplained,I can see why they chose the way that they revealed him.

Why is Torin turning to stone? Is he already a spirit? What happened to Dogold? Will Dogold posses someone new to replace KyoryuGold,maybe Daigo's father? There's alot that still has to happen,and I still say it's gonna be a great season.

Hmm, I don't know, others might argue that the swagger was what ruined it. I personally prefer Daigo's optimism, though I do like Marvelous a lot as well.

Daigo is the glue which holds the team together. Besides, he is getting a mighty upgrade. And upgrade rules dictate that whoever gets it must fail first. It's written in the Book of Shit That Always Happens. Or BSTAH.

I just wanted to be able to watch the darn episode. I've tried to watch the stream 2 times now and the video has been removed by Toei both times.

Don't they want anyone outside Japan to watch the show?
