What is this "Souchaku Henshin?"
After finishing Den-O I, like any self-respecting Rider fan, immediately let my obsession carry me to the popular online sites in search of Den-O stuff for me to buy, mostly Zeronos. My search led me to this little piece, and research has led me to discover it is from Souchaku Henshin, a pre-figuarts line I've heard mentioned. Problem is, I know next to nothing about the particular Zeronos here, as video reviews are non-existent on YouTube. From what I know of the rest of SH is that these are not as detailed as figuarts and are closer to standard "toys." Reasonably accurate and posable to no extremes, but not as streamlined or display-attractive as a figuart, but engineered better for actual handling. I was hoping I could get some word of mouth (and pics if I can, I can only seem to find images of it in box) on Zeronos, though. I mean, for that price I'm practically willing to impulse buy it.

Souchaku Henshin is the "proto-figuarts" line that made most things from Kuuga-Kiva. They have slightly fewer joints, more diecast, and their main feature being that the armor can come off(earlier figures had teeny tiny heads under the helmets). They got best near the end I hear. The figures before Den-O(or was it Kabuto?) had only single joints in the elbows and knees.

Cool, I didn't know they were actually like proto-figuarts. So what about the figure I mentioned, Zeronos? Any specifics on it? He's the one I can't find reviews on.

So, Zeronos?

I'd imagine Zeronos would be very similar. |

I have the base form kiva, and its an awesome figure, If it had figuarts-style eyes I'd be perfectly content with it as my kiva

Actually, what is Vega form? I don't remember Zeronos having a secondary form. |

Thing with Vega Form is, it's 70% Altair form. It'd seem redundant to buy a second figure that's basically the same. Vega doesn't even have a unique weapon. (Also why I really want the SIC) He also had Zero form, but that's just a recolour of Altair, and not a very good one in my opinion.

Well, if you can handle not having 5 different sets of hands, the Souchaku Henshin version of Zeronos would be a good enough investment if you can find it cheaper than the Figuart, since it includes both Altair and Vega forms, as well as being in scale with current Figuarts (All Souchaku Henshin toys pre Den-O are smaller).

So if I told you guys I could get Zeronos for about $9 and Den-O with all four armour forms for about $30, would you say that'd be a good deal?

And I assume your talking about that metallic TRU set? |

I found a Den-O with all armors for $40, but shipping was $45 because apparently it's in a huge ass box and it's heavy. |

Dang, I don't think I'd be able to afford Den-O if the shipping is like that.

Now the ultimate decision, do I pay $40 plus shipping for Zeronos and Den-O, or save my money for the Gaia Memory selection 2 I've been saving my pennies for?
What to do... |

But its your pennies. |
I'm gonna go with the SH's, just so I can have Den-O figures without paying for the Figuarts, and the memories aren't even on Mandarake for a decent price.
EDIT: Well, Mandarake just sent an order cancel. Guess I'm not. |
