*The following are general ramblings as I watch the sub*

-Candelilla and Lucky doing the samba along with the rangers....can't stop laughing for some reason.

-So how does Debo Spinless ability work exactly? He removes a vertebra and they all men love Canderealla? That makes no sense. Is this some sort of dig on idol loving otaku or 'herbivore men'? Oh who cares, the happy Deboss plans usually make for the most entertaining eps (which this one is).

-The actor who plays Diago has enormous ears.

-Utchy is wearing a hawaiian shirt *_* But his his ringtone, I must have it.

-Anyone else noticing that the villians are attacking our heros while they try to morph. They never seem to succeed but I appreciate the effort.

-I LOVE the twist the writers have put on the arse-hole sixth ranger. He's being strict and mean in order better the team. I don't remember every seeing that before.

After a weak showing last ep, Gold came back in spades this time. It seems like Fourze's writer is really knocking it out of the park with this series. Looking forward to next week!

So this was quite a bit more like your average sentai episode in my opinion. I still loved it but it definitely felt like one of those filler ones that they just kinda have to do between story lines. But I liked the Amy Utchy interaction.

It is really funny to see how dopey Utsy is behind everyones backs, but I like that he's not the typical douche at heart. I like how happy and fun he really is. And his transformation this episode was way more awesome than last week. Loved his dance, it was way more smooth than the the others. His civilian clothes are a little silly but he is rocking the ponytail.

Oh, and Candelera's human form (who is also her actual voice actress too) is super attractive.

Dear Sakamoto, you can have all the strange unicycle and foot fetishes you want, but she's 15. Put it back in your pants, you perv.


Anyways, I'm trying to get this right. So because his old lord died saving him, Gold wants to play jerkass to the team...why? There's being honorable and then there's being a dumbass. Shame, you were almost cool for a minute.

His old Lord told him that his kindness could be used against him by enemies. So he won't show it to the others, if Amy hadn't discovered it she wouldn't know either. He's especially wary of being kind to King because he doesn't want to lose his lord, or rather his look alike, again. So he's putting on a front when he's with the team so the Debos don't have a weakness to exploit.

And Amy is 16 now. Which doesn't make Sakamato any less creepy :lol

The last fight scene with Kyoryu Gold in this episode had some nice production value. I think this is probably my favorite episode so far. King's ears were even more massive than usual this episode. And is Amy some kind of old warrior whisperer? She's pretty good at dealing with them.

I absolutely loved this episode. The Gold ranger is a very fun character who definitely fits in this group and I love how him being tough is motivating the other Kyoryugers to become better themselves. This show is so much fun.

It's like, Canderila's perfect, she can't possibly be any better. And then this episode happened and the world just told me "Yes, she can get better"! Loved the episode.

Gotta agree. Canderila has turned into my favorite villain of the group. All of her plans are unique and would most likely work in the real world.

Wait a minute everywhere I have looked has said she is 18.
When was it confirmed she is 16?

This was a great episode,my only gripe was the pointless unicycle spot....why? It would've been better if instead of riding it the whole fight,she rode it towards them,caught them off guard,then just hopped off and started to use it as a weapon in her hands.Her flailing around and spinning in place doesnt make too much of a convincing beatdown.lol.

Can't get enough of KyoryuGold too.A sixth ranger I like,and mostly cause he's from the past dealing with present times,and not seeming to have any trouble at all fitting in.lol.Also for all those that hate that they samba to henshin,I love it.Just for the simple fact that most of the time,the samba is used a fighting countermeasure while their being attacked mid henshin.I mean if Zack could fight using breakdancing moves in MMPR,why hate on a samba henshin?

Amy's character is 18, but her actress (Ayuri Konno) is 16. Kinda like a reverse of Yoko last year, who's actress was 18 but played a 16 year old.

And Ayuri turned 16 the same day I turned 20 actually :lol

I was ready to write of most of this episode since Canderila is beginning to annoy the hell out of me, but then that fight sequence happened.

Kyoryu Gold is best Kyroyuger.

So Kyoryu Gold isn't some badass loner...For him it's all a act that he feels the need to put in front of the new team in this generation. I like this twist, Toei has been doing a decent work with these 6th official ranger and their different personality(Ikari Gai, Beet J. Stag, and Jin), but yet keeping them badass for a couple of episode.

And OMG...Kyoryu Gold theme song I need it!!

I was ready to hate Utchi(by the way, much easier to remember than "Utsusemimaru") from what I saw last week, but you know, he managed to not be a "start as an asshole and grow a heart later on" type. He's being an asshole to the others because compassion killed his lord, but he's really not that different than other asshole early additions except for the fact that he he's a likable character this early on.

There seems to be a running theme of secrets held between characters in this show. Nobou and his niece not telling DekaYellow that her brother is KyoryuBlue, Utchi and Amy not telling the rest of the team that Utchi isn't an ass...

KyoryuGold is awesome. I have no idea why he needed his first Kyoryu Change to be so lame, but his new one is leagues better. Furthermore, that last fight scene at the end was amazing. I can totally see why Ian, Souji, Nossan, and King were just standing around and watching. Also, Ramires! If Ramires does not show up in Superhero Taisen Z, I will be extremely disappointed. In fact, we should petition Toei to have Robert Baldwin appear in Superhero Taisen Z.

Honestly though, I'm surprised at the lack of Seto Kaiba Uchi pics. lol

First, the good:
KyoryuGold is awesome. It'll be hard to resist not getting his figuarts or cosplay weapons since they are all so cool looking.

Canderrilla is the best sentai villain to come along in a long time. I can't help but root for her every time it's her turn to cause havoc.

Amy helping Utchi is cool. I love eps that are Amy-centric.

The bad:
Amy on mono-cycle was a waste of time. All the bad guys fell down without her even touching them. Lame.

It's odd that Nobuharu reacted so positively to Canderrilla praise of his jokes even though he knew who she is just doesn't make sense. That monster didn't even have to remove his neck bone imo.

The ugly:
Kyoruyger guys in pink outfits. Nuff said.

Am I the only person who really isn't enjoying this show?

I know goofiness is an inherent part of Sentai but there is just such a sense of...stupidity in this show.

Like this week, what was the point of the neckbone business? And that concert? And the unicycle? And those stupid gag batteries? And the incredibly incompetent generals?

Gold is cool as hell, I ain't gonna argue that, but within about five episodes the show went from slightly silly to dribbling on the carpet.

(In my opinion).

The neckbone as the monster said is the "bone of love" or some such nonsense. Like removing their neck/back bone makes a character theoretically spineless and controllable. The unicycle was just, I just don't know. The gag batteries had to be used because they couldn't just hurt the humans under her control. Candelera being a pretty attractive songstress in disguise plus the removal of the neck bone made the humans fall under her control easily.

Did he say that? I was probably not paying attention.

The unicycle actually made me really uncomfortable, Amy is a good looking woman but that was so...voyeuristic, it creeped me out.

Also Candelera is just...rubbish. I know everyone likes her because they fancy her but that bloody song and if the other generals are useless then she is just...

I didn't know if I'd quite like her but her voice actress really sold the character. She really sounds joyful while doing the part and I liked her playing the human form of the character in this episode. Luckyroo can just go away for all I care, I don't like him. Or chaos really for that matter. Dogold is pretty interesting especially now knowing that he's dependent on having a body to posses. Aigaron is neat but they haven't used him much lately and he still has loose plot threads related to Ian.

Chaos is kinda cool in my opinion, mainly because he's the only General so far to actually do something that didn't solely involve him being useless.

DoGold had the potential to be awesome but since the KyoryuGold plot was so incredibly rushed, his power and threat was diminished quite greatly and it'll be interesting to see how they can ever give him and his very unique ability a purpose again.

Aigaron, again, has been shown to get his ass beat by the Kyoryuger already, we're on episode 11. Even on really goofy shows the villains have at least provided some presence or threat but I get nothing from these guys.

I think this episode was more about KyoryuGold's backstory then anything,so them not making the monster a big focus was a good thing.I still dont understand the neckbone thing,even after watching the subs.

Nobuharu getting tricked early just by her complimenting his jokes made him look weak,heck this whole episode did.I understand why they did it,but why not Ian? He would've fell for her alot easier.

Other then that the rest of the episode was fine....cept the unicycle.lol

DoGold is going to have his own episode in May.They released the titles for all the episodes in May.

Not only weak...but creepy as hell because Nossan knew she wasn't human, he knew she was one of the Deboss Legion...and yet fell for her anyway?

Edward Cullen may glitter in the sun but that doesn't stop him being a corpse and wasn't it Nossan's ability to see through illusions that the entire maze episode hinged on? Did they just forget about that?

Also I'm excited to see what they do with DoGold in that case! I hope his appearance and powers reflect who he possesses, that'd be cool.

I think he saw through the illusion in the maze episode cause he knew his sisters husband was dead and kept his memory in his heart,and knew that the illusion husband couldn't be him cause of how he acted.

But yeah,they not only made him look weak,but the whole team.Everyone was saying during the last episode thread that King looked too perfect.This episode he got wrapped up by paper and turned into a love slave.

Am I the only one who's noticing that Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are using the same filming locations over and over again? The 'concert hall' in this ep was the same place where the Ares concert and Boxing match were in Fourze.

Yeah but he saw Canderila's human form in the concert and then just...forgot about it?

And yeah that is another thing that annoys me, for the first ten episodes or so, minus Amy and super sentai sexism, they did a pretty good job at balancing the power of the team and making each member have a purpose.

Not only is Gold stronger than the whole team combined, the whole team seems to have somehow gotten crappier since he appeared.

That's pretty typical though. The rest of the team always gets outshined once the 6th shows up. Gokai Silver made the other Gokaigers look like amateurs. Oh hey I'm just gonna fuse some ranger keys together.

Gao Silver did the same thing that Kyoryu Gold did. But he actually was just an aloof badass, it wasn't an act and he was immensely powerful. Enough to turn the the tides of many battles.

Break was the same way but he sort of hovered at everyone elses power level after a few episodes.

It's not out of the ordinary to see the 6th steal the spotlight for a few episodes before the new status quo is established.

I understand KyoryuGold outshining them,but specifically targeting their strengths just to prove he's better,act or not,thats a douche move.lol.I know he did it to get them motivated,but they already were.That was the whole point of King's attitude.

Hey, if a pretty girl came up to you and said she liked your lame jokes, I'm sure you would forget that she's a general in your enemy's army :lol

This isn't a new thing, the same locations have been used over and over for about 15-20 years now.
