Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Red Finals
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

All right, it's time to settle this puppy once and for all. It's taken a couple of weeks, but we're down to just three Red Rangers still standing, only one hypothetical Americanized Mobirate. This is for all the marbles.

Voting will last for 48 hours or until the thread derails over the Quantum Ranger's color status and I pull the plug in frustration, whichever comes first. :p

So we've got the man who saved the universe, the man who saved time, and the man with the gun. Which Red Ranger will truly reign supreme?

Now THIS is a match up! I'm going to have to think properly about this one before I vote. All 3 of them have extremely good cases.

I love Andros and Carter. I do.
But I gotta give it to my boy, Wes. He accomplished so much, saved so many, and fought to the very end. He's one of the very few who said they'd never give up, then proceed to keep their word, fighting the army of cyclobots alone (And with Eric later/earlier on).

Adding in his future tech and that he's one of the few to remain active (As a silver guardian), and I just don't see him losing.

I'm pretty much in total agreement with you.

I voted Carter.

1) He's Not Andros
2) He was a very good Leader
3) He's Not Andros
4) He has skills, he's trained. Wes was a good Red. But he was basically a RichBoy until becoming a Red, and had to learn everything. Carter was a trained Fire Fighter before becoming a Red.
5) He's Not Freaking Andros

Went away, thought about it and decided on Carter for one sole reason.

Carter was a hero before he was a ranger.

That's my decision and I'm sticking to it. I'll be happy to see any of these come out as the winner though.

So who gets to stand and watch while the other two kill each other?

I actually think all three have a really decent shot at this.

I voted for Wes, lost too many of my favourite Red's already.

Carter, he's still the man after all these years!

I do. You see, I'm one of those people who think that Wes is Sky's father. I'm going with Carter because... I like the suit.

But we saw Sky's father. It clearly wasn't Wes.
Sky's father may have been a Time Force Red, but it wasn't Wes.

A lot can happen in 10 years. I'm not saying you should believe; I'm just stating my reasoning and what I believe.

Wes was the first Red Ranger that I actually remember. Go Time Force!

this is tough, one that required serious thought. who is the best fighter, tje best leader and who inspires me, if i were a ranger who would i want to lead me. and honestly andros is 2/3. he is a good leader and fighter but he doesnt inspire in the way the other two do(imo). that leaves me wes and carter. and i love wes and time force but i feel in all three of my criteria carter edges out the winner. lightspeed rescue!

Gotta go with Carter.He's obviously one of the older Red's.He was a firefighter before he became a red,like Sentai said.The fact that he was already saving lives and that Wes just stumbled into being a Red and Andros,well he's ok.He was asked to become a red to defend innocents.Carter was saving,not defending,people before he even had a morpher.

In a fight scenario,it's pretty even.Andros and Wes both have future tech,but Carter has logic and thought behind his attacks.And I know Carter is tougher just for the fact of what they did,again,before becoming a red.

i'm going with carter. plain and simple.

Someone always gets screwed, but meh. How else would you have done it? Bring back another loser?

1) Do the 3-way match in round one where it's less important.
2) Find another Red Ranger like Quantum Ranger.
3) Drop a ranger, like Hunter who isn't offically a red ranger or AlienRed who was a waste of time.

seconded. how can we have an accurate red touramet when not all red spandex wearing heroes are participants.

Eric will participate in the 6th ranger slot. It's not like he's not involved.

I just think its unfair when we have 3 people in one round.

Okay, let's review shall we? Since this will be brought into PR I believe it's still relevant. If it's on Gokai Silver Gold Mode (or the Titanium Ranger) it's counted as a sixth.

However this is not PR canon yet and we don't know if it will.

As such we only have Forever Red to go on, which Eric was included in. Canon. Fact.

I praise you for trying to solve this problem with the most solid possible evidence, although someone is bound to dispute it.

I still question why AbareKiller is on there though.

That is great but as of right now, we have canon proof in Power Rangers Eric is red. Something from Sentai, a totally different show, doesn't disprove Power Rangers canon.

Huh. Interesting.

"6th", while most of the time corresponds to the point in which the "ranger" debuts in the show, is more properly used as a type which a "ranger" is deemed as by usually having an independent "morpher" and "megazord". This is why the White Dino Ranger and White Rhino Ranger are known as "6ths"(although the White Rhino Ranger as an improper "6th" is disputable given the abundance of "rangers" in that season).

Fair enough. Guess I'll just wait for Super Megaforce to conclude... Then come back :D

Which is why I am saying as of right now, Eric should have been in with the Reds.
