I liked this episode quite a bit. That professor friend of Nossan is a real jerk.

I think my favorite part of the episode was how Nossan puts on this dumb act but is actually really intelligent within. This was seen in how he acts in front of his friend and what he was actually thinking in his head. Great stuff.

This was a fun episode. Nice seeing Dogold again, and Nossan is always a great character.

However, next episode is what really has me interested.

Is Candi in the next episode?

No. It's about Aigaron.

I was kinda hoping Dogold would keep that robot body. Keep Nobu's friend around, figuring out how to destroy the robot inside of Dogold, and eventually become KyoryuPeriwinkle.

Agreed. Between advancement of the plot involving Ian's friend, and KyoryuGrey, the next few episodes seem like someone decided to hit the play button again.
Though I am disappointed that DeinosGrounder is just some weapons instead of a bitchin' drill tank for Utchi.

You know what's ironic?
In Modranger, ModBlue/Nathan/Sentai's shield related attacks are described as throwing it like Captain America. KyoryuBlue, the inspiration for ModBlue, hasn't thrown his shield like Captain America until this episode.
I think Toei ripped us off. :lol

They must be sending spies here or something :lol

Seeing the whole robot thing throughout the episode just made me think,"You know,why aren't the Go-Busters scientists trying to contribute to the world by creating patient carrying robots?".They have the tech to build these kinds of robots 13 years ago that have advanced AI,capable of steering giant robots by themselves and one of them even turns into a motorcycle.Why does Nossan's friend have to go through so much crap to build one that just carries people?I blame that poor scientist's suffering on the Go-Busters.

I finally got a chance to see it, it felt like a bad Megaman battle network plot.

You're forgetting Aigaron and Chaos. Considering last year only had 3 main villains throughout the entire show, and that was a totally fine cast, I can't imagine someone wanting more villains than the 5 we have already.

But do they really do anything? Not really.

Kyoryuger episode plot:

1. Implied Character Trope.

2. Dastardly Villain Plot.

3. Implied Trop meets Plot.

4. Sticky Situation and shenanigans ensue.

5. Sim Ha. Sim Haha.

6. End.

Don't get me wrong, it is Sentai/Power Rangers. The formula is there, and will always be there. However, I don't feel like any of the villains thus far have done anything to stick out among each other.

For instance. Say that we have... Five different flavours of oatmeal.

Blue Oatmeal.

Pink Oatmeal.

Red Oatmeal.

Green Oatmeal.

and

Glitter Oatmeal.

All of the above is still Oatmeal, even if Glitter Oatmeal is faaaaabbbbbbbulous. Bland, and very tasteless.

Now, we are only fif- Oh, wait... we probably should have had any form of development at this point.

Don't get me wrong though, I love the hell out of Kyoryuger. (It's even in my name.) In-fact, I would even say this is the only Sentai I like, despite it's short comings it has managed to make me smile no matter the episode.

However, the very Hannah-Barbara shtick is just getting a bit... bland, and tasteless.

All i'm saying is they need to -insert Badass McBadassy here- as, our taste of plot development was cut super short with Utchy immediately being removed from Dogold.

It's like "Oh, there is plot development? That is terrible, let me fix that for you. There, nice and tidy."

Though, I suppose it is my own fault expecting Shakespeare from a children's show about adults dressing up in spandex, and saving the day...

I see where you're coming from, but I don't think more villains is the answer. They just need to flush them out more.

Though I do find happies in seeing someone else have similar problems with Kyoryuger that I have.

I'm still trying to figure out what my grand problem with Kyoryu is...

I can still see him being a final villain a ranger team has to face before they're powers blink out of something.

Pretty good episode. Not as many puns from blue as I expected though.

BTW, I've been meaning to ask this for weeks, but what band sings the opening song? The singer sounds familiar.

I think the main problem is that the villains need to upgrade. There's no way than people will keep watching the show if there's no real sense of danger. Adding more villains without making them credible threats is just going to hurt the show.

I don't think them "upgrading" is the answer, but adding more villains won't help I feel. Just, make the half dozen you already have better.

I'm just going to put this out there... Mustaches.
