Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Blue Division Quarter-finals Round 1
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

am I the only one that finds it funny that these two had a team-up? Anyway, this is a tough one... DAMN IT DECADE!

Gotta go with Sky, he's serious-minded and tactically superior. He's a mover and shaker.

I'm going with Sky I haven't even seen SPD but I'm pretty sure he's a better Ranger than Ethan, who much like Kira was practically non-existent as a Ranger. And only slightly more existent out of fights.

Ethan designed some SPD tech before SPD was a thing. Plus the TriceraSheild.

Sky, a guy who can let the guy who killed his dad out of prison just to kill him yourself :lol automatic badass :lol

Ethan. I'm sorry, I just really hate Sky.

I'm starting to feel like I should finish SPD.

Sky. Years of police training and future tech give him the win. S.W.A.T. is a lot more useful and dangerous of a power up than Super Dino Mode.

Question: How does R.I.C factor into this? Unlike other teams' 'finishing move cannon' it's a stand-alone weapon that can be called upon or used by any ranger ( Not talking about the battilizer, just the cannon mode). It didn't factor into my decision, just a thought.

SPD is awesome. You should.

Anyway, I haven't the slightest who I should vote for. I like them both as characters and neither are particular powerhouses (SWAT? Tricera Shield counter :p)

Here's hoping we can make it through another Sky round without it erupting into a 'Wes is Sky's Dad' argument. It's probably inevitable though. :lol

This is a tough decision for me because these 2 are some of my favorite blue rangers.

I'm definitely in Camp Sky on this one, but I'm really surprised at how big his lead is at this point.

I agree with that however things can always change.

ethan is a computer guy, he designed software that spd uses, not any of the weaponry or actual useful battle tech. round goes to sky after he activates swat mode and blasts ethan to nothingness

I like Ethan, but I think Sky's training outmatches him here.

That said I have seen a lot more of Dekaranger than I have of SPD, ironically.

Either way, I'm glad Ethan isn't winning because he had the 'honour' of being in Dino Thunder.

I'm voting Sky becuase he's a trained policeman and Ethan a computer geek. Nothing wrong with being a geek. I'm just saying it isn't going to help you much in a fight.

I'll be honest. Sky could've gone up against a peice of moldy toast and I would've voted for the toast. I never liked Sky, he's my least favorite SPD Ranger. It just happened Ethan was going up against him this round so it all worked out.

I'm just glad being in Dino Thunder hasn't caused him to fly ahead.

It's ironic that the one Dino Thunder character I liked has done the worst, barely edging out a win against Blake and unable to be Sky :lol

Sky takes this one literally 2-1. I'm a little surprised at the margin, if not the victory.
