The mighty clipshow episode returns! What is the fate of our fallen Akibarangers after the final battle at the sun?!

This clip show was even better than the one for season 1. Really, just great. I especially love Yuuko's off handed comment "We Love Super Sentai even more than a certain hearty silver guy nya" :lol If Gokai Silver doesn't get to appear in some kind of Season 3 and hang out with Nobuo then I will be deeply saddened. It would be a great excuse to get a Gokai Silver Gold Mode out of Bandai. It's perfect for the Akiba merchandising machine.

"If we're needed, Hatte Saburo will revive us again." I honestly hope so. This show, both seasons, have been some of the greatest toku I've ever seen. The absolute perfect balance of comedy, action, drama, plot, and fun. I need more of this show in my life. And I will buy every Akibaranger product I have to if it supports a possible season 3.

So, will they be alive in the live show?

I can't imagine them not doing a 3rd season based on the popularity of the series, unless the merchandising hasn't been as successful as it seems. Maybe they'll bring in a whole new cast - the way Sentai has a new team each year?

If they're not renewed again, how will we get classic Sentai characters and teams without this show as a vehicle?

Lastly, after seeing the end of the season, the gold Akibaranger Figuarts is kind of B.S. He glowed gold for all of like 5 seconds and wasn't even actually gold. He just had a gold aura around him, but you could still see his colors beneath it. Easy repaint, but I wonder if Figuarts will sell many compared to other figures. Overall, he seems like an easy pass.

It's also sad to see another season end without the announcement of a Malshina Figuarts, regular or in battle mode, or any other villains. There weren't even any new colors of Akibaranger this season which was kind of a let down. Why no new members? Maybe they need to contract for a longer season or something. The show deserves it.

Akibaranger has some great clip episodes, I particularly enjoyed seeing the comparison footage for the preview OP and then the season 1 bits.

While we're remembering I've gotta say that all the cover songs the actors did for the end credits were just fantastic as well. I'd really like to see something like that again if they get a Season 3. Which I would have to imagine will happen. I mean after all this show is a massive marketing vehicle and just like last year it made Bandai tons of money in toy sales.

Loved it. An oddly dark ending, but it was still cool to see the other Sentai ghosts show up, too.

Did anyone else see the OOO reference in the end credits? I had to pause and do a double-take on that one.

You mean the thing with Maki's actor and the doll? They referenced that in episode 1 actually. He was the toy shop manager but instead of his doll from OOO he had Bae form Gekiranger on his shoulder.

Likewise there was also a rider reference when Nobuo was explaining right-to-left to Prism Ace. There was a colored outline of W flying behind him with the sentai montage.

Unless Arakawa is hinting Inoue is going to step in and help on the story, otherwise I don't think it will happen anytime soon. :D

Episodes 12 and 13 were good, and I did not see that ending coming, but man, I feel like something happened between episodes 11 and 12 that I missed because I had a hard time following 12. The Ultraman spoof character was great though, and wow, that ending was unexpected. I think they did this so if the cast can't return in S3, it gives them an out, and if they do, they can just write them back in with some whacky reasoning again.
