Bad Movie Night Challenge
 

Let's play a little game called Bad Movie Night, which was inspired by my own experience. Over a decade ago, my old roommate kept on telling me that Wild Wild West was the worst movie ever made. I hadn't seen the movie, but as bad as the reviews were, I disagreed with him. So we did a bad movie challenge. He had me watch Wild Wild West, while I made him watch a bad movie of my choice.

I made him watch Disney's Inspector Gadget.

A week later, he demanded a rematch. He had me watch I Got the Hook Up. So it was a typical rap movie, but not as bad as he said it was. And it made me feel bad because I made him watch Steel.

Round 3 came, and he challenged me to watch Cyborg. At this point, I wasn't sure if he was trying at all or his movie pain threshold was just really low. Needless to say, my challenge to him for round 3 was the 1990 Captain America movie.

So with this in mind, if you were to challenge a friend to Bad Movie Night, what three movies would you make them watch that would guarantee you a win (provided they haven't seen them yet)? And what would you wager (whether it's a buck or a drink)?

I'll pick:

Destination: Moon (from 1950);
Manos The Hands of Fate (1966);
Red Zone Cuba (1966)

If anyone can make it all the way through both human centipede movies without throwing up you win.

I made it through one completely fine.
If I hated myself anymore, I'd watch two, but I'm not masochistic.

There is only one movie that I've started and never finished.... The Tuxedo starring Jackie Chan.

Anyone want to share their experiences of watching the Twilight movies?

I would start off with Apollo 13, a movie so boring that I have fallen asleep during it every single time I've tried to watch it.

I'd follow that up with Revenge of the Fallen.

And then, just when the opponent was thinking that I was going soft with a couple of mediocre big budget films, then I'd whip out The Amazing Bulk.

what's there to share about those in a bad movie thread, those are som of the best comedies i've ever seen :lol

Any time I meet someone who's having trouble sleeping I recommend that they try watching Apollo 13. It's even worked on a guy I knew who came back with insomnia after serving in Iraq. I don't know all of the rules of this challenge, but I'm pretty sure falling asleep counts as a TKO.

I'd bet that they watch three at once and they'd win five bucks for each movie they can sit through, but if at any point they give up and wish to leave they have to give me twenty. The movies would be Go-Bots Battle of the Rock Lords, Baby Geniuses, and Garbage Pale Kids.

I'd watch Go-Bots 100 times over before I ever attempt to sit through Garbage Pail Kids again.

Go watch the room all of you. I dare you.

Saw it already. Yes, the production value is laughable, but somehow, it doesn't work for Bad Movie Night. It just falls under "so bad, it's good."

On the other hand, let's see how people can go through A.I.: Artificial Intelligence.

Batman & Robin is an easy one to sit through if you just take it as one massive parody :D

Anyone watched the Dungeons and Dragons movies? I watched the first which was really horrible but it was entertaining in a cheesy sort of way. I heard the second one doesn't even pretend to aim high. :D

I saw a review of Dungeons and Dragons yesterday...the Empress' acting...ugh.

I have. I thought it was an alright commercial.

Just a few clips from The Last Airbender was enough to make me shiver in fear. Its biggest offense was to butcher the beautiful fighting styles of the cartoon.

I would never even show that movie to my worst enemy :lol

It's what happens when you take a cartoon with hours on days of studying behind it to accurately match real world martial arts and give it to first time actors who can't pronounce Sokka correctly.

Yeah, I'm just a sadistic asshole when it comes to torturing people with movies and TV :lol
