Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Sixth Division Semi-finals Round 3
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson
Pink Ranger: Jen Scotts
Green Ranger: Adam Park

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. There's only one semi-final to go and then it's on to our last final. Two Sixth Rangers left to go. Two last challengers to see if anyone can stop the Tommy train.

But seriously. I still haven't seen Jungle Fury. I hear it's good but I don't know anything about RJ.

This is unfair because I haven't watched Lightspeed Rescue... But my vote goes to RJ, he's one of my favorite rangers ever.

Though from what I know Ryan is awesome as well.

Let's see, Ryan has that ax/gun and RJ has Not-ShiGeki. Ryan knew the enemy because he was pretty much raised by it, RJ is a laid back badass that acts as the Gou and Shafu of JF.

Not sure who has a better chance against Tommy, though.

either of these would be good but we already have a LSR and JF ranger on the team and id prefer that every ranger be from a different season. ugh.

RJ, sorry I just can't see Ryan winning this one.

Eh. I honestly think Gemma's the only semi-finalist who probably didn't deserve to make it this far. Ryan and RJ certainly both stand a decent chance of making it all the way.

But Tommy winning?!?! GAH!!! As I said in the last poll, I am slowly atarting to hate Tommy

That's why most tournaments are set up so that "Big" characters don't face off in round one.
It's rigged so that some characters won't face each other until the final, should they both make it that far *Cough*EricVsTommy*CoughCough*

Seriously?! .. I had to vote RJ. Nothing against Ryan, I just can't vote against the Wolf. Power, Experience, Speed, and his natural aloof Zen would just win out in my mind.

Sorry RJ but I really want Ryan to win this, I want the Power Ranger exclusive Ranger to get back into silver, he belongs on this team.

I just realised I'm going to miss the final as I'm going away tomorrow :(

Wow, tough one here, as both bring a lot to the table. Have to go with RJ, though, because besides his strength as a fighter, his skill as a teacher and mentor makes him more well rounded than Ryan.

Honestly you should put Superman vs. Batman in round 1. Damn Injustice Battle Arena, killed most of my love of Batman.

The world has killed most of my love for Batman. He went from a smart dude with gadgets to BatGod, infallible psychotic genius with an answer to everything, and now that's all anyone (Including some comic writers, like Miller) see him as. It's painful to watch a character you once love get destroyed by people who don't "Get" him, removing all tension.

Everyone knew BatJesus would win the Battle Arena. It's a shame, because, much like Tommy now, he's a likable and popular character. That doesn't make him the best or strongest, though.

Ryan gets my vote. Dude was able to take down all of the Rescue rangers, was able to help them while on the verge of death, and as much as I hate to play this card, he was the first American original ranger.

Jungle Fury only had 5 core Rangers if you wanted a "Special Ranger", that would of been the White Rhino Ranger.

He was the jungle fury Wolf ranger, contrary to the main three which were called by color.

And honestly there was no other place to place him, being the only violet ranger.

I considered putting RJ in the Grack pool briefly, but I ultimately decided he didn't fit. Plus that pool already had a perfect number of Rangers - adding one more would have messed up the math.

Besides, RJ seems to have done well so far, as he has secured enough votes to move on to the finals.

IGN did an interview with JDF today and he called himself the Snoop Dogg of Power Rangers. Don't know if he's checked in on what has become of Snoop in recent years.

Like whatever the hell "Snoop Lion" is.

Seriously, what is that? I'd look it up, but I don't research hip-hop artists beyond their birth names. Like Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., Snoop Dog's birth name.

He went to Africa and decided his animal was a Lion now.

Wait, what? I thought the "Dog" in "Snoop Dog" was the slang term with hints of Chalres Schultz. You know, Snoopy and things like "Yo Dawg! What's up?"

There was a deeper meaning to his former stage name? I'm confused.

The most embarrassing part?
I know Snoop [Animal] mostly from his one and a half minute appearance as Moses in the Epic Rap Battle of History :lol

It always seemed to carry multiple meanings, namely whichever one he wanted it to at that moment. Maybe he is a PR fan and found a lion power coin....
