DX Sengoku Driver Previewed
1 Attachment(s)
We’ve seen Kamen Rider Gaimu fully revealed yesterday, now here’s our first preview of the Sengoku Driver!
This example is an unpainted factory sample, fully painted versions will start popping up anytime though.
We know that Gaimu transforms utilizing this belt and Lock Seeds, but much of Gaimu still remains a mystery. The first wave of Kamen Rider Gaimu merch is expected to hit in October. |
It looks pretty crappy, to be fair, but then I think a lot of Drivers do. Like OOOs just looked a bit like a VHS tape with a coaster to run along it and Wizard basically just has a regular belt buckle so I'm not really surprised. I miss Fourze's Driver, cluttered maybe, but it looked awesome so did Meteor's.
it is unpainted by the way.
I like the look of it.To be fair,it is an unpainted prototype by the looks of it.It looks like the lock has a seed on the front of it,he plces the lock on the belt from the top down, like Fourzes switches, and swings the knife down.
This is an unpainted proto so before anyone says it looks bad that's why. The article is updated to reflect that as well.
Yeah, the lack of paint really threw me off. However knowing that it actually looks kind of cool. The knife is a neat aspect and the "fruit" in the center gives a nice bright focal point.
so it is Kamen Rider Fruit Ninja ...err... Samurai
Fruit slicer authorized under Providence, Kamen Rider Gaimu!
It looks simplistic without paint, but overall it seems like a fun belt, even if fruit ninja had that idea before.
I'm feeling this. It looks almost like a sort of key, which makes sense given the Lock Seeds. Can't wait to see the painted version.
I like that the lock seeds do something. I hope they hold the electronics, so we can have different upgrades later.
Ok,pretty sure I know how the belt works. The lock seed gets placed in it from the top.The wearer pulls the knife handle, cutting the fruit on the lock in half and quickly pulling the knife back up.The cut half swings down and hangs there, revealing inside the fruit either the symbol of the rider or the current power. My guess is that the electronice are either in the lock itself or it reads like a switch or Beast Battery does,or both.
What I mean is that when you look at a normal padlock, the metal bar that locks into the lock itself has a notch.I'm thinking the bars on the different lock seeds have different notches, letting the belt itself identify the lock. When the fruit is cut,the front half falls away, triggering the sound effects by a tab holding the front half of the fruit in.So the electronics in the belt identify which fruit it is and the electronics in the lock identify the powers they use. |
That'd be awesome if both the locks and belt had electronics so we could get layered sound effects like with Gaia memories.
It lacks the simple elegance of the Wizard Driver, but it's definitely still a big step up from the clunky mess that was Fourze's.
I am liking this more and more :lol I love goofy stuff and Im sure this will be, wait, if there is a peach form, please tell me Momotaros makes a cameo!
As I said in another thread, it looks like the Decade Belt (pre-card insertion) with a Ginsu infomercial attached to the front.
fruit got seeds like oranges and apples

Here's what the Fourze Driver reminds me of: Come on, switch on! |
