Hey guys! Decided to create this thread to just discuss those who love to dress up as characters! :D

Well, I originally intended to attend Anime Expo this summer, but I'm stuck at my parents house instead -___-. However on the plus side, I've started working out, and hope to lose enough weight for conventions in the fall.

Now what does that have to do with cosplay? Well, I wanted to just dress up as Eiji with the OOO driver, but now that I'm working out, I want to actually make the TaToBa suit when I'm all lean ^_^.

Another Idea I had was to dress as Nobuo Akagi from Akibaranger.

What cosplay have you guys done so far/will do? :)

A ShaUTa and Gokai blue versions of sunred.

I'm working on putting together a Gokai Red cosplay

Last summer I did standard Captain Marvelous and Shotaro from W (sans Double Driver) for Ayacon. Anime-wise I've done Timeskip Simon and Kittan from Gurren Lagann, Wolfwood from Trigun and Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club in the past.

My plans for this year's Amecon are;
Rintaro Okabe (Steins;Gate)
Enter (HOPEFULLY)
A variation of Captain Marvelous (probably with open shirt/vest/camo trousers instead of the waistcoat - as long as I'm wearing my coat I'm happy :D)

I'll probably buy Gokai Red costume from Aniki but I'm not sure when. It's all about money right now.

:lol That is hilarious. I was wondering what an aniki was myself. Kinda glad curiosity didn't get the best of me that time.

I fully intend on going to my next convention as Momotaros. I figure i have the clothes and getting red contacts and dying a streak of red in my hair wouldn't be bad. Until i drop some weight or develop serious sewing skills , i don't think i have many options.

in may i was eiji while my friend was using my custom ankh hand to be ankh, and on friday ill be yaguruma emo version, :D

if i could lose a tad more weight i would go to NYCC as tuxedo mask

Ressurecting this thread because I've been on a cosplay kick lately. So come on.. What are ya'll up to?

I really want to have a Titanium Ranger cosplay ready for Halloween this year. I've pretty much forgotten about Scarlet Spider and a Blue Lantern.

Hopefully by the time my school does a lip dub next year, I'll have a Robo Knight—and I do mean Robo Knight; I want to give that costume a soundbox that will make me sound like Robo Knight whenever I walk. It probaably won't be as complex as I want it, but close enough.

SS is easy though, I'd think. It's just a red Hoodie and Blue onepiece :lol

Well you guys know I have my KyoryuBlack, gonna update it throughout the months. Anybody know what would be a good material to make the silver parts of the boots?

Whatever Scarlet Spider comic you've been reading has made a horrible coloring mistake.

Besides, it's really hard to find a one-piece (I searched for one, but I immediately closed the results out of embarrassment). Not to mention the fact that I'd also have to find/construct the webshooter bracelets, belt, and ankle-pouches, in addition to the mask.

I once managed to create a 100% accurate Gir costume for Anime North... However I got completely swamped by people and was unable to get into the door so I never wore it again.

So, who'd want to cosplay in one of the more fantastic Super Sentai civilian outfits? For example, the ones from Zyranger or Gingaman?

I kinda like Dan's and Hikaru's civilian outfits.

Last September my manga club held a cosplay party. And I went as the only character I can really pull off to a T, L from Death Note. Hell, my little cosplay of L got me third place for the night for overall best costume (I'm certain I ony won it because of the fact that I actually acted like L. I basically method acted the character to where I walked liked him, I ate like him, I sat like him. I even kept myself up late a few nights to get the bangs under my eyes).

Damn, that's some commitment right there. :lol

For Scarlet Spider cosplay, you don't actually have to use a one piece.
Because of the hoodie breaking up the costume, you could have red pants and a red shirt, using the give and wrinkles of the hoodie in addition to the belt to hide the broken up suit. Scarlet Spider is one of the easier full suited heroes to cosplay as because, while you still need to put in work (Making the mask, the belt, finding red pants that don't look like crap, etc), you don't need perfect physique to pull it off because the hoodie can hide away some extra pounds (Note: Some, not all :p).

Anyway, if I could stop being such a fat sack of shit (Unlikely), I was thinking about attempting to cos as Rio. I was in talks with my brother and he and I were discussing how the suit would work.

Well, it's great that I have the body of a Pakistani anorexic, then. :p

But how would you make the boots?

@Guncannon What can I say, I'm a method actor. I'm like a little Lon Chaney when I act in terms of commitment.

The last time my brother and I attended a con together (In 08), we went as "Street Fighter, the later years" We're overweight and dark skinned, so he went as a lazy Akuma, and I a retired Sagat.
It was fun and rather minimalistic for costumes, but still a ton of fun.

I actually suggested to a friend of mine that we both go to a comic convention dressed up as the two main characters from Loading Artist (mainly because we have hats that are similar to the hats worn by them).

Well since is a thread :lol

For Lexington ComicCon in March, I plan to be Eiji Hino. I already have the shorts and such, a random shirt I can find easy, the most expensive of the outfit shall be the OOO Driver, which I do not own yet.

And now I'm trying to cosplay as the Scarlet Spider again. Thanks, guys. :p

I'm gonna be Duo Maxwell, for both Cosplaying and for Halloween, the reason of for Halloween is because in October my job training/social group has a dance where you have to dress up to win awards :D.
