S.H.Figuarts MMPR White Ranger US Packaging Revealed

With the up coming release of S.H.Figuarts Mighty Moprhin White Ranger upon us, Bluefin via Facebook gives us our first in hand preview of the figure by revealing his US exclusive packaging!

White Ranger is due out in October, retailing for 44.99 USD.

Anyway, while I don't really intend on picking up the White Ranger nor Kibaranger, I do like that we're actually getting new packages for more than just the Red and Green rangers.

Whose design I always considered to be an improvement over the Season 1 suits... but I'll remain strong. :p

Is this a new line for stores like toysrus? Or only expensive comic shops? Is this the first of a series? Or has these been out for a while now? Sorry I'm out of the park for a long time. Just started coming back into power rangers after stopping for 10 years.

Looking at the included accessories, I never knew that Saba had an extending blade. O_o

I guess I need to re-watch the old MMPR episodes with the White Ranger in them.

The Bluefin stuff is mostly sold online. You can find them at comic shops, but they will usually be a lot more expensive there. Rarely are they found in retail stores. Figuarts have been around for just over 5 years now. And they encompass a lot more than just Super Sentai/Power Rangers.

I'm excited for this too. And with the help of this guy ^^^^ I will be getting Kiba for White's price!

These figures are made by Bandai japan and distributed by Bluefin, they will not be available in retail stores, you can find them online and in specific comic shops.

Online's probably the best bet.

SH Figuarts have almost been exclusively a Japan release line, mostly for their Kamen Rider figures. Back during Sentai Shinkenger (or what the US got as Power Rangers Samurai), they dabbled with Sentai Figuarts, releasing ShinkenRed to much popularity ... the rest of the team followed as online exclusives.

During Sentai Goseiger (or what we got as Megaforce season 1), they released a SH Figuart of Robo Knight, to continue testing the waters. The figure was also exclusive, and did pretty well from what I gather.

About that time, a deal was struck to bring the SH Figuarts ShinkenRed and ShinkenGold to Toys'R'Us as exclusives during the height of the Power Rangers Samurai run. They were $39.99 a pop and did sell out in a lot of locations pretty fast - it was the cheapest those figures had been around.

With the Sentai Gokaiger (the 35th anniversary series for Sentai, and the basis of the upcoming 20th Anniversary series for Super Megaforce), the entire team was released as SH Figuarts and sold out pretty fast. Their after-market prices have continued to rise. With the Sentai parody show Akibaranger blowing up in popularity, Bandai used it to bring other characters from Sentai to the Figuarts realm, including Boukenger Red, Blue, and Black (Operation Overdrive) as well as the Red DaiRanger (MMPR Season 2 footage, but the suit was never used except for zord scenes). It was then revealed that they were going to release the entire line of ZyuRanger (or Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). For the first time, Bluefin Tamashii (the stateside version of Tamashii Nations) was able to get exclusive packaging for the 20th Anniversary of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and thus the entire team (MMPR Red, Black, Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and White) will be released with the MMPR logo, "20th Anniversary", and complete English packaging. If you have a business account, you can order them direct from Bluefin, else you can pick them up for cheap ($35 to $40 at major online retailers).

If you have never played with one - you'll love it. 40+ points of articulation, incredible detail, all the accessories you could ask for ... simply great stuff.

But until they make an OhRanger King Ranger aka Zeo Gold Ranger, they will never be the best toys. Once they do, I will buy like 40 of them to pose around my house.

Anyway, you can like RJ all you want. GekiViolet will always be Fukami Gou to me.

When it comes to Gold Ranger, accept no substitutes.

Once I watch Geki it'll probably become Gou to me too, but that will take some time. :p

Actually in my experience the shops I go to tend to be 5 dollars more then Bluefin's price.

The Gold Ranger was pretty much the saving grace of Zeo.

Actually, I thought R.J. was the better of the two. Nothing against Gou, but R.J. was a better character in my eyes.

Wow! Thanks for the great info everyone. Oh well I'm late in the game. I love the box art! Brings back so many good memories! I hope the 20th toysrus stuff get something with the white ranger. Maybe Saba the sword reissue with die cast parts would be so sweet!
