Reiko Chiba says "Burai" Returning for Zyuranger Special
 

The developments continue to build regarding exactly what the Zyurangers (the Sentai series that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers used the footage from) have coming up that actress Reiko Chiba, who played the Pink Pteraranger, revealed on Twitter!

Originally revealed a month ago that she and the other actors from Zyuranger had been contacted by TOEI, Rekio Chiba has all but confirmed that it is Kyoryuger related via twitter.

Dukemon22 has already reported that there is a Zyuranger/Kyoryuger "meet-up" in the works planned for the end of the series.

Responding to a fan question on whether or not Burai the Green Dragonranger would return or not seeing as his character in the show would, uh, how do we put this, "have a lot of explaining as to why he's there", Reiko added that indeed, "Burai" is involved with the Zyuranger special. We're hoping this means that Shiro Izumi is rejoining his fellow cast.

This is notable because Shrio Izumi is retired, and has not been involved in acting, or anything Super Sentai related, in many, many years.

But as to what exactly the Zyuranger special is, we just don't know yet. But it's safe to say it's Kyoryuger related, AND, Burai is returning!

If I were to guess, I'd say that Burai would be another spirit ranger.

I actually wouldnt care if that happend. Sounds good, and if Burais actor is retired, Im sure AbareKiller is easier to get ahold of.

he was in gokaiger so I dont think they would have a problem getting him back :P

I think I solved how they bring back in story. In Kyoryuger there are Spirit Rangers already.. So why can't Burai come back the same way?

Well, if they are coming back I guess its only right to bring Burai back too. Still failing to get particularly excited about this though.

Maybe they'll bring back Abaranger to! Would that help? o.o

I am excited for this, and I really hope the Abarangers come back too, the Dinosaur Sentai are some of my favorites.

So if Burai has been retired for a while, who was it that did the voice over in Akibaranger? For some reason I was under the impression that they had used the original actors for the voices, but I guess I was imagining things or something.

Tomokazu Seki (the mobirates voice/narrator in Gokaiger, among other things) and Takeshi Kusou did most of the returning Sentai voices in season 2.

It just means that the cast of Zyuranger are potentially returning for something to do with the currently airing Super Sentai series.

Since no one knows what exactly this entails, it could (and most likely will) mean little to nothing for Power Rangers.

This won't mean anything at all for Power Rangers. This a situation specific to Super Sentai. The actors who played the 6 Zyurangers will be returning for some sort of cameo appearance in the December episodes of Kyoryuger. It doesn't mean anything for the future of MMPR, and seeing as this year is the 20th anniversary I doubt they'd use this same cameo setup when Kyoryuger is eventually brought over here for anything.

This means virtually nothing for the USA or Power Rangers. It's just something for Super Sentai, and thus Japan.

I'm still curious what the extent of this will all be. I'm afraid of a glorified cameo.

I know this ant nothing for pr but why do I feel lik as soon as Saban hears and or see this he going to take out the contract for these episode or special and use it footage cause Saban need to separate contracts now for sentai vs movies and summer movies .

Imagine the rage when it just turns out to be them doing the end credit dance.

I don't remember all this buzz when the Hurricangers did their end theme dance. I'd say that it'll be a lot more than that, at least I hope it is.

I was kidding, but to be fair the Hurricanegers were getting plenty of buzz doing their own thing at the time.
