Kamen Rider Gaim toy site up
 

Okay, dunno if this is really neeews per se, but it might be fun for folks waiting for Gaim.

B-Boys.jp is a toy site that has had pages dedicated to Rider stuff since Decade (notably the Wizard one has some audio of the rings in high quality, wha?), and they've finally revealed the proper page for Gaim, as empty as it is for now.

This page all about Lockseed functions is interesting and I wish I could read what it says, because it seems to say there's actual sounds on them, which I wasn't aware of before. Speech bubbles simply saying "Orange!!" implies they'll have Gaia Memory type things going on.

And possibly a... game mode? Lockseeds in the shows fiction are used to battle each other, so I guess it's like a classic Digimon? It sort of makes sense. Wonder how involved these are, or if they're just randomly activated sounds.

The front page also shows us the Arms Change figures of Gaim, Baron, and never before seen Ryugen!

So the seeds have functions on their own, that's awesome, reminds me of Gaia Memories, maybe even better, since they seem to have various modes.

I swear if one function is Juicy I'm sueing :lol

On the battle game front, can you guys imagine how akward would it be if both lock said "You win" on unison.

Yeah I'm kinda curious how it'll work. I assume it will just cycle through sounds at random which will result in many a tie. That said, wow, electronics on the Lockseeds, plenty of function on their own... Bandai wants my money on this one. I've never actually bought any of the collectibles before (though am tempted by the Wizard and Fourze Gaia Memories)

Yeah there's no way they'll implement a system to conncet the lock as it would be too expensive, it will lead to many amusing moments. :lol

I'm also in the same boat, I don't buy the roleplay stuff, but these things sound awesome, and face it you'll end up buying them, your avatar is a lock seed. :lol

I got an email from HLJ earlier this week saying they had some Gaim stuff for preorder. No pics and only a few things but there are prices. The driver/lock combo is a bit pricey.

I know I've had the discussion with people on this forum before, but I really see no purpose in the roleplay stuff. It becomes pretty costly to ship over, and whereas my Figuarts make for great ornaments, I don't really know what I'd do with a Driver and their collective gimmick. It'd look as out of place on my shelf, as it would if I walked around wearing it.

I dont wear mine out in public, not until Halloween or a Convention. But since I am a kid at heart, I honestly play with my OOO and Zeronos Drivers, even earlier, I was playing around with different combos. :lol I also love SHFs, the detail and accessories they have... :lol No wonder my wallet hates me.

I'm a big kid too, but I struggle to find time to read a book, let alone dance around my room in a plastic belt.

I have about an hour between the time I get home from school to go to work, since I live literally not even 5 minutes away from there, I normally have time to do something, and when I get off, I have about 3-4 hours before I go to bed, yea... trust me, I do dance around my room in a plastic belt. :p

I'm kind of the same way with roleplay toys - too expensive, dunno what I'd do with it. I am however okay with owning Gaia Memories and Lockseeds, and probably a Wizard ring or two. They look nice and (in the case of the first two) are like mini soundboards.

If I had the money to blow I would do what I saw in toy show pics, and use Figuarts stands to hang Lockseeds off of. :lol

I guess a few pieces here and there could accentuate your figuarts, but I don't think slamming a whole belt down in the middle of all your stuff will have the same effect.

My sentiments exactly, roleplay toys are too expensive and basically they do noise, and nothing else. The collectibles themselves look good and are cheap, the memories had sounds, and the medals and rings look nice, the locks seem to combine the best of two worlds.

I guess like weapons and stuff might be different, because like I'd love a toy of like the WizardGunSword thing, but all Drivers are...are belts, not exactly the most exciting things in the world.

Pretending to shoot things is always fun. :p

Exactly why the ZeroGasher goes well with the Zeronos Belt. :p

The ONLY problem I have with roleplay items, is the sword weapons, they are so small. (Yes I know they are made for little kids but still, it just makes me sad I cant get a scaled toy sword. :lol)

I can see where drivers might look nice with figures in a case. But it wouldn't be something I'd go out of my way to do or spend any real money on. I got the Decade driver for $20 to fill out an order and I'm looking forward to setting it all up once I stop buying figs and get some cases.

But even in kid hands they look more like daggers than swords. :P

I want to test that, but I dont want to see what my nephew would do to the ZG, Id prefer no bite marks on it. :p

I'm curious how the scale is gonna work out in the show. :lol Like, are they going to be regular sized Lockseeds that grow in size, or are they going to be suitcases they have to lug around? (Or rather, pull from behind their back from out of nowhere)

I suppose the former. I would love to see them drag them around though. :p

Just a random little update to the site, they've added a commercial for the Sengoku Driver, and release dates for some of the toys we've seen so far.

If the release dates correspond with the show's plans, then it's possible episode 3 will be the premiere of Pine Arms (and possibly Baron, though he gets a vinyl figure alongside episode 1), and episode 4 will be the premiere of Ryugen. Just a little tidbit.

Without a doubt, the show will be quick to show off a lot of stuff.
