Man, Gaim is no joke. :)

Can't wait for subs.

It feels so good to finally say goodbye to this show.. Darkness Introduced Audience apathy hit me hard during this last arc, with not just the villains and Riders acting like asses but the kids too.
So long Wiz. You will NOT be missed by me. |
THIS was the episode I was wanting. Cutting the bullshit and getting right to the fun. The riders were lively, Gaim got lines, stuff happened.
Kind of disappointed to see Super TaToBa instead of TaJaDor, but at least PuToTyra showed up, so *Shrugs* Beyond the super forms only existing for the Rider kicks (It would've been really nice to have the super forms doing their unique finishers, but the battle before featured enough of the characters doing their own thing, so I can't really complain), it was a lot of fun and pretty enjoyable. |
I thought this episode was good overall. I wish the plot of these last two episodes made more sense and I wish they could've gotten more than just Decade back (come on...even Fourze wasn't available?). However, I did enjoy seeing all the Hesei Riders kicking bad guy butt. One final thought: who didn't see the reveal at the end of the episode coming? So ready for Gaim!
|
Did Gaim actually Henshin?
|
^Nope, they're saving that for the Gaim premiere.
My thoughts on this are pretty much the same as the previous episode. Felt like a Decade episode with a movie-style next Rider intro and not as much Tsukasa as I'd like. Also looks like Gaim will be another show where the Riders aren't called Riders. |
I enjoyed the episode very much. It was a nice send off for Wizard.
|
So it was another bout of barely coherent nonsense that is only concerned with fun? That is fine with me, at least for episodes like these.
|
This special was a lot of fun.
Amadam was such a fun villain, the over acting…the silly faces…the fact that he constantly appeared in different costumes for no reason…just a shame he was only in this special I'm actually one of the few people that do like Decade and…it was nice to see Tsukasa again but he really didn't need to be in this…did he? |
An absolutely excellent, fitting, and showy end to a series plagued with pacing issues in the beginning that found it's stride in the late 20's and never looked back! This was a great cap to the 2-parter. Masahiro Inoue always puts a smile on my face when I get to see him again, love that guy, love Decade, haters go hate somewhere else.
The all final form henshin was awesome though I would have preferred to see each henshin personalized rather than all glowy and at the same time. Still think it's odd that Momo would go Liner but hey then again he hasn't had a host for a while now. He straight up uses the belt himself nowadays. We all knew that kid was Haruto from the start anyway but the acknowledgement of it, and Haruto giving him the Infiinity ring really struck me as awesome. I think we all know that kid's coming back into play in the Gaim/Wizard Wars to return a certain ring :D |

Okay, first things first: holy crap, it's the dam where the final battle from ZX took place!
And so we bid Wizard farewell with an episode that made very little sense, was full of crazy crap, but was still a lot of fun. I like the nod to the idea that the Riders are always powered by the same source as their enemies, an idea which dates all the way back to Hongo escaping from Shocker. I also like that we now have a villain who can out-gurn Kai from Den-O. But yeah, this was fun. I'm going to miss Haruto, but I'm looking forward to Gaim (speaking of whom, we got to see his Rider Kick and the energy effect for it, which was very... um... god damn it, it was juicy. :cry). |

The plot made no sense

That was absolutely nonsensical and completely awesome. The fight between all the riders and the kaijin, ranging from the grasshopper yummy and Alternative Zero to Zodiart Cancer Supernova and the T-Rex Dopant, was a total fangasm moment.
And for everyone saying Wizard ended with a plot that was completely off the rails, this isn't Wizard's ending. 51 was Wizard's ending. These past two episodes were added to fill the time between that and Gaim's start. They were just an excuse for an awesome Heisei team-up. |
Wonderful, I enjoyed every second of that. Nonsense but fun plot, awesome cameos, Tsukasa being fantastic (he looked so happy too!), silly villains and just great fun. Quite possibly one of my favourite Rider crossovers there's been.
|
I like how all the other Riders are so used to Tsukasa's 'pretend to be evil to trick the real bady guys' plan that they pretty much see him and just go along with it. Until Momotaros decides to break charcter, at least.
I also like that it's made clear that the rings are summoning flesh and blood Riders, not just constructs. Makes you wonder about the mechanics of it, though. Den-O went Liner Form at the end, so does that mean that the ring summoned Ryotaro as well as Momotaros? Kuuga used Rising Ultimate, so was that Onodera or did Godai just unlock that form? |
I was assuming the Kuuga present was Onodera (Primarily because of his comment during Decade's Final Form Ride, implying he's gone through it before, which is something Godai hasn't).
No idea about Den-O going Liner, though, unless the Den-O summoned was actually Ryotaro and not Momo. |
Finally caught this. It was okay. The rider stuff was literally all the good, but everything else was just awful, from Dickado trying to out-bland Haruto (I'll give him this much, though he may fail at acting, Haruto's actor at least tries unlike Tsukasa) to the stupid kids, to the amazingly dumb villains and plot. (Like, holy shit Amadam, you know the old saying, right? If you keep making those faces, a trick wind is gonna come and somebody's gonna punch you because it's super annoying)
Also, did he steal Gaoh's costume at one point? Also, I noticed an error. LunaTrigger used Luna's stretchy arms, but that's not an ability Luna has with Trigger, it's LunaJoker that can stretch it's arms by combining Luna's illusion powers with Joker's hand-to-hand powers. Luna Trigger can only do homing shots, since W combines the two memory powers for it's abilities. And no, I can't remember the last time I had sex, why do you ask? |
Don't worry. We can put LunaTrigger using the wrong powers in with the rest of the screw ups, like Den-O going Liner, or Castle Doran appearing out of nowhere (DenLiner moves through portals in time and Dragredder can emerge through any reflective surface to explain their sudden appearance. Where's Castle Doran's excuse?)
|
Still haven't watched it since I'm waiting to find it on my usual streaming sites now that I'm trying to give up torrenting...
But umm hmm. It sounds like I'm really going to like the appearances and nods here to other series. As for Castle Doran - it totally just sucked itself through the door through time inside of it. Totally. |
There is little point pointing out individual screwups when the whole thing barely made any sense. But making sense was never the point, it was about wasting time until Gaim arrived and I think they wasted our time in one of the best ways they could, by having fun.

I don't think the Liner Form thing is a mistake per se. I was just thinking it meant that the ring summoned Momotaros possessing Ryotaro as Den-O, rather then just Momotaros being Sword Form on his own.

There were plenty of errors. Another is the fact that OOO uses the PuToTyranno combo when those medals should have been destroyed if he's also using Super TaToBa as a final form. Though you could also write it off by saying that if the rings create Rider constructs then the Rider himself possesses all of his abilities regardless if they've been denied access to before or not.
It's obvious the team decided "Go crazy first, ask questions later." Didn't really mind it too much since it was a lot of fun regardless, which was most likely their goal anyway. |

As for OOO using PuToTyra, IIRC technicly we only saw seven of the purple medals break. The full combo Maki had was never shown to break and could theoreticly still be intact for Eiji to recover. |
Minus the little screw ups (and even some of them are debatable) with riders and powers etc, it all made perfect sense. I liked that the show acknowledge the riders source of powers and it was an interesting concept for a villain/clash of ideals.
Still, I mainly dug it for the fun and the sense of nostalgia. Granted i've only been watching these shows for what, 3/4 years? But it was still cool to see Den-o pull out the den liner and a castle doran appearance =D |

It was already very obvious that this was an alternate dimension with it's own rules, considering Beast was there (jeez, even in the end Nitou can't get a break), and I feel like Decade's actual presence is more of the obvious mcguffin to allow his actor to come back. This final episode wasn't just Juicy, it was Moist. With that being said, they gave us in two half hour episodes what usually takes going to the movies. It was short, to the point even with it's pointlessness (seriously, he didn't really 'save' Koyomi, did he, and he didn't do anything with her ring, so it leaves it massively open for Wizard x Gaim apparently, and what was the point of the kid calling on Gaim twice other than to show us that he's hard to the core), and gave just enough fan service to make it a proper sendoff for the next series. http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1380894725 |

Finally watched the episode and seriously guys... It was such a fun one! I loved how much attention the Riders got. They get less in crossover movies that feature them all and have more time for action.
The story was kind of rubbish, yeah. But nitpicks about the Riders... Yeah I'm gonna be forgiving about that. And it definitely was implied they were summoned versions or spirit versions of them, so they were in some sense the real deal. Den-O having Sword Form and Liner Form can make sense. It was Ryotaro, but of course he needs Momo for Sword Form. Once the finale forms were activated, he took control. It's really quite simple. Heck, the only thing I actually disliked was Alternative Zero being amongst the "monsters." That is the only thing that didn't make sense. But I'll chalk it up as the Wizard AU world Decade would have gone to if his show were happening now, since that's pretty much what it is. And I'm fine with that. So it's not a great, story-driven or compelling episode. But it sure was fun to watch. |

Next, you're right. Everything is perfect. Why bother critiquing something at all? After all, Kamen Rider, as a franchise, is meant for entertainment. At the end of the day, the story doesn't matter because it'll be over in a year, the purpose of pointing out flaws doesn't matter because each series is just to bide time for the next series to start off. We should all sit here and jerk off over past Riders appearing (An event that might as well be annual now since Decade started) and not discuss minor problems. After all, who in their right mind would want to discuss something that's meant to be fun? |
Critiquing a series is fine, because the core series is supposed to have a continuity, a set of characters and a story but these two episodes were just wasting time, so criticise them all you like, but all you're trying to do is get blood out a stone.
Funny thing is, as soon as Gaim airs I can't wait to see all this shit reversed. |

I'm just pointing out that, if ultimately the point of the episode is to waste time, why is dickriding it like crazy acceptable, but pointing out minor issues unacceptable? No one is parading around with all the flaws in story telling, plot, pacing, etc. People want to know whether or not the rider rings created real characters or constructs. People want to know if Momo was Den-O, how he went Liner form. Etc etc. And what do you mean it'll be reversed for Gaim? |
