S.H.Figuarts Gaim, Baron, & Sakura Hurricane Image
 

Blurry though it may be we officially have our first look at color prototypes for S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gaim, Kamen Rider Baron, and Gaim's bike the Sakura Hurricane!

The image was taken at Tamashii Nations 2013 where the figures are out on full display. However as is often the case at theses events, certain sections of the show may not be photographed. These figures may or may not be under such an embargo but if and when new pictures surface we'll have them for you here!

The fact that they already have 3 prototypes done, only 4 episodes in, means we're getting an avalanche of them. They were well prepared and got these 3 ready very quickly meaning we can expect a lot more as the year carries on.

Please Bandai, bury me in them, avalanche the shit out of with Gaim riders. My wallet is ready.

Mine isnt! But if we ge multiple forms, I dont care. Ill only be gettin rhe main 4 i they are all retail. Possibly Pine and Ichigo. I would they are retail but since almost ALL of Wizards forms were TWE, I sadly say Gaims will be as well :(

Surprising, for me, is that I actually like the look of the SHF Baron a lot more than Gaim. The Baron suit is okay, but the shoulders are kinda shitty, in show and Gaim is GORGEOUS in show, but here I dunno, Gaim looks kinda...squashed? It's hard to explain and even harder to point out with such a lq image.

Maybe once we get our official images Gaim will look better than he does here.

I'll get at least Gaim because I need to own every main Kamen Rider. I'll get the others either right away or when I can depending on how much I like the show by the time they come out.

I hope we get some better pics soon though.

Look nice from I can tell. Not sure how I feel about the giant ball joints and the hip though... Is this a new thing they're trying or am I just being daft and they've been there all along?

I know I am officially down for the core 4, right now. Baron is growing on me as a character, Gaim and Ryugen were pre ordered in my head the minute I saw the designs. As for Zangetsu... He's a dick! I like his design. But I may just be getting him based on looks alone. That might change over time.

To be honest, I think the only reason it feels like we are seeing the prototypes earlier into the show is because the show started later. Wizard started the first weekend in Sept and was not shown until Nov. I still wouldn't expect to see Gaim released until Feb.

Now if they were to say Gaim is coming out in Dec, then we probably will see A LOT of Figuarts from the show, but I don't expect we will. I also expect Gaim to be no more than 48 episodes.

Yeah, that's part of the new Figuarts style. I don't like it very much either, as I really love the way the old extendable hips allowed for good posability without hindering aesthetics, however it's not a deal breaker for me, especially if the new joint style is stronger. Actually, I believe it isn't new; IIRC a similar hip style was used for Agito and a few other riders.

In any case, Gaim is looking awesome, and Baron is tempting my wallet in ways it shouldn't considering it's the wallet of a poor college kid. I hope the joints are metallic, or at least correctly colored. Having random black joints or something would ruin them for me, heck it's the only reason I haven't picked up CycloneJoker yet. Although this new body type makes me excited for if they ever remake CycloneJoker. It's great for kick poses, and everyone knows that Figuart needs redone at this point.

No. We have 3 prototypes 4 episodes in. Wizard was released in February 2013 after the show began in September 2012. These figures are on track for a normal release but they already have 3 of them done. They've literally tripled the releases for the currently running show from last year. There will be more riders, alot of them, we wouldn't be seeing 2 riders and a bike right off the bat if that weren't the case. It has nothing to do with a measly two week gap that started the show a little later.

You can expect all you want but 3 figures this soon is clearly a sign that more of the riders will be made. Why on earth would they only make like the core 4 riders when there will at least be 10 that we know of?
God yes, such a badass suit design. I hope he's deliciously evil. With Ryuki as Urobutchi's influence I'm hoping he's like Ouja :D

I don't know why people don't recognize the hips. Every Ryuki rider uses them.

I might buy Ryugen or Kurokage, or maybe Mango Baron if he turns out cool, but I'm still not keen on the overall aesthetic.

Just few paint apps a different belt design and a putty head sculpt we would have a good putty fugu arts

Oh god between the figuarts looking gorgeous and the AC figures being fun I'm going to be buried in Gaim toys.

You know, I was beginning to get really sick of Kamen Rider (and Figuarts, until Blade came out and floored me) but dammit, Gaim is just so endearing I might as well be going all in on the core Riders for this show.

...Man I hope the base four are easy to get. According to Wondanon, Gaim and Baron are both Mass Release toys hitting in May, so that eases my worries somewhat. It's all on the other two now.

Also, as disappointing as the lack of transforming armor is (Wondanon described the toy as looking very well sculpted, and obviously untransformable either on Twitter or other social means) I can't act like I didn't expect it, but I'd much rather have a super secure and stable toy than something with a gimmick that might not turn out well.

Now... about that price.

They both look great, but I think I'm going to stick with just Ryugen. Why? Well, because grapes are my favourite fruit. It's too bad he doesn't have a melee weapon though (well, assumedly). I think it'd be cool if he had some sort of Chinese sword (I guess with the hilt being a big ol' purple grape, maybe with a dragon motif), since they're mentioning the Chinese influence of his armour. Well, maybe once he gets a new form.

Huh so they are. They just blend in a lot better with the Ryuki figures I guess, that and I only own 1 Ryuki figure and he's in a box...
