The raw has been out for a long time and now there's subs. It's time to discuss this sequel to the train wreck known as Superhero Taisen.

My short thoughts on Superhero Taisen Z is that it is a lot better than its predecessor, but still could've been much better. It's a solid "okay" toku movie. I'll try to go into more detail later.

Lemme guess. I'm not allowed to dislike it because it's for fun and it's supposed to be silly goofy and crazy, right?

DiEnd isn't in this movie. Decade is barely in the movie.

In fact, the main characters are New Gavan (very much his story), Gokai Silver, and Yellow Buster. I'd count Wizard and Beast to, but they kept disappearing or just stay in suit forever.

No DiEnd? I love this movie already!

it was better than the last one, the story was more solid, but overall its was just okay. it just focuses on yellow buster, gokai silver, and new gavan too much, i mean come on, where was our shot of all the kamen riders, super sentai, and metal heroes together?

There was a huge, and I mean HUGE, lack of both Sentai teams and Riders. (At least Den-O made the cut)

Just finished watching it, and it is indeed very good. Some may complain at the lack of heroes, but I can look past that due to the fact that I like it better than the first in pretty much every regard.
This is what the first Taisen should have been IMO, and if not setting the world record for most suit actors on screen at once is what it takes, then I think it's more than worth it.

Story-wise, this was by faaaaar better than the first one. It had some really touching moments in it actually and didn't consist of pointless battles just to kill each other for no good reason. The action was okay, but I was really disappointed that we didn't have ALL the Rangers and Riders appear as in the previous one. However, I liked their little team-ups throughout the movie, there was a lot more interaction compared to the original.
It's true we had a hell lot of Gavan though, not much of Rider (though Wizard DID have some screentime) and very few of Kyoryuger- as for the rest of Sentai, we had at least Gai and Youko as main characters, but I was kinda disappointed that only Kotoha had a cameo- after all, we would have had the actors for GekiViolet, Battle Kenya and DenjiBlue.
The other Super Heroes appearances were a nice idea, but not really spectacular. But it had a nod on the Fourze and Wizard Movie Taisen with Inazuman calling Gentaro "sensei" (though it wasn't explained how Inazuman came to the future. Fail).
Also, Gai referenced the Gokaiger Finale, just in the right moment of the movie. Nice job there.
Overall, I kinda liked it.

If they keep improving the movies at this rate, I'm pretty optimistic that we might get an awesome SHT sometime in the future.

I've had some time to mull over Z and due to the thankful lack of that troll DiEnd (May he never come back!), more character interactions and a few touching scenes I'll give it a 3 out of 5.

Hopefully the trend of improving the SHT movies continues and we'll get a great one the next time they decide to do this.

May DiEnd stay banished forever.

Watched the movie and damn it was miles better the previous one. Where the first one felt like a bad fan fic wirtten by a fifteen year old in his moms basement this one actually felt like a real movie,

The Story was consistent throughout and didnt have that many plotholes and character inconsistencys like the first SHT did. I also really liked that the heroes worked together this time and werent trying to kick each others asses. The only thing that really bothered me was that the space sherriffs were giant dicks.
And the moste impressive thing about the movie was that I actually cared about Yoko once in my life. Why couldnt she be that good of a character in her own show?
And another character I really loved and who had my favorite lines in the movie....man I cant believe I´m actually saying this....I reallly,really,reallly loved Kamen Rider Beast in this one.

The Movie wasnt perfect but a giant improvement from the first one so lets all hope they make a third one so we can have a really damn good crossover next year :lol

My thoughts: NEEDS MORE SENTAI!!!!

...Why was there no GekiViolet? We even had his actor back...I'm not asking for Gou to show up out of suit, but why couldn't GekiViolet be present?

Anyway, it wasn't as bad as the first, it was tolerable and I can actually picture myself being interested enough to watch it again. I'm glad they just ran with Let's Go Kamen Rider's explanation for the existence of other heroes, "They exist" without having some overblown crap like the first one. The story was actually able to be followed and it was nice to have an actual plot.

There wasn't much in the way of an actual crossover for the majority of the movie, though. Gavan loses his powers in the first act and the second act has Haruto just...Disappearing. It was just Yoko and Gai, with Beast showing up here and there. It did allow to have a better focus on character, though. And the Sentai and Riders showing up were still really cool (More so in the middle than the actual climax).

Oh, and Daigo pulling a sword on Haruto for no reason? Loved it :lol

As someone who enjoyed the first film pretty good for what it was, I also liked this one. Just another fun zany team-up that makes no sense and has some great one off stuff. The Dino mecha blast from the Sentai Ring, the Metal Hero Gokai Change, love crazy shit like that.

Well, that turned out to actually be a pretty good movie. The small main cast made things a lot more conhesive and the team up bits had better focus than the random bits of colour they were in the last film. Liveman and Amazon? YES PLEASE.

My biggest problem was just how dickish the Space Sheriffs are. I mean I already knew Geki was a pretty unlikeable guy from his last two outings, but seeing Kenji Ohba playing Retsu as a complete douchebag was pretty bizarre. Granted I haven't seen much of the original Gavan but what I have seen he certainly didn't come across as that kinda guy.

Other than he scuffle with Gavan, I swear Gai was only here to get through introductions quickly :lol that man must have a pretty impressive phone book.

I thought it was great! A lot better than the last one that's for sure. Hopefully these continue but also focus on some previous heroes instead of always focusing on Gokaiger characters or including them in the arch of the story.

Thats kind of the reason Im gonna wait for something else, last time my computer got a virus I swear it was off there, and I only got on there once or twice the whole time I had the computer. Dont wanna go through that again so Ill wait like I always do.

I was about ready to throw my remote at the tv when that stupid bird bot farted and the movie kept giving me scenes with Yoko. Didn't we get enough of this little **** in Go-Buster? Thankfully, things took off right after they stopped putting so much focus on her and got better. I enjoyed this so much more than the first one. I felt the movie was actually written by someone who is at least 18 years old instead of 8, as it sort of had a plot. Oh yeah, and I'm not sure what happened between the bad Gaven movie and this, but Geki's actor improved A LOT since I last saw him on screen as a character, which I was pretty impressed with. I also thought GokaiSilver was well done and not out of character. It was also nice to see Shadow Moon get handled with more respect for a change (even if the hopper spurs looked ridiculously fake, why have they not been able to recreate them like they were in Black????). On the other hand, what a waste of Metal Hero keys. They were on screen for all of 30 seconds, making them entirely pointless. I would rather have had them do more with that than another stupid cameo with Inazuman (who again, served no purpose here).

Regardless of its negatives, it was a nicely done movie and is what they should have given us in the first place. It does feel odd to have a movie that is supposed to be a Sentai vs Rider (vs Metal Hero) and not really have any Sentai vs Rider moments in it though.

BTW, what was the point of Kotoha being in this? She was on screen for less than a minute and we never heard from her again.

Considering her actress also portrays Gavan type-G's partner, Shelly, it's most likely that they wanted her to portray Kotoha just for that instance.

Yeah that's the whole point of the Kotoha "cameo". It's just an in joke because she played both of them.

I absolutely loved this movie, it was one of my favorite of the Kamen Rider and Sentai movies. I absolutely loved Gavan/Geki, he was totally awesome and badass, I so want a new Space Sheriff series. I loved Inazuman and the reference to Fourze/Wizard. Loved all the Animal and Space Sentais and Riders together, and then seeing the other come at the end even for a moment was pretty sweet. Loved seeing Beast for my first time, and he was totally awesome. Him and Utchy were awesome. Gai really was amazing in this and I loved when he was being really serious he is something else. The Go-Busters were pretty cool too. Sharivan and Shaider were pretty awesome too. Overall 1,000,000 times better than the first one.

Don't expect him to be like that on the actual show. Because he isn't.

Yes it is. Well, at least until episode 45, then it seems like they had no idea what to do with his character at all.

I really enjoy the film better then the first one and I like how it involved around gaven and space a lot. Also I did like how j showed up and got shoved. Like normal and he did feel out of place but I like that was not the same gang of shocker people again.

It was great Shame J didn't do anything.Sharivan was cool and he is played bye Geki Violet
