Time Shadow + GaoKing & Victory Mars?
 

I was on Ranger Wiki getting some info for some auctions and in their Shadow Winger article it says that the Time Shadow is compatible with GaoKing & Victory Mars. Is this a show only thing, or does anyone knows if the toys can combine, too?

And then I follow the link to their Omega Megazord article and it shows Victory Mars wearing the Lights of Ginga gear from Gingaman. Ditto with this combo: Can the figures do it, too?

(if you haven't figured it out already, I'm using the Super Sentai names for everything except if I was actually looking at the Power Rangers versions of the articles)

The Lights of Ginga combo is possible if I recall. The others though I was unaware of. But i can test the theory when I get home with Time Shadow and Gao King. PLEX introduced a more universal set of ports/connectors in the Time/Gao era that were carried over for years. Thats why in the Gao/Hurricane Vs movie they combined Gao Shark, Elephant, & Tiger with Gourai Senpuujin. The toys could do it as well.

That's pretty interesting. Can't wait to see the results Den-O.

And with Gao King being in this, we may get a just-for-fun Gaollery of the combos!

Yes! That's the one. I've always wanted Senpuuin and Goraijin anyway but when I saw the film some time ago, and saw that that's an actual official combo I was beyond happy. Makes me really appreciate what PLEX was doing back in those days even more.

EDIT: Oh hell. I just realized that I have both Black Gaoking and Black Elephant from the TUR Knight set. If I bought Black Gourai Senpuuin, I could actually create Black Gourai Senpujin Sword & Shield.

Black GouraiSenpuujin is a really nice deco. Mechnically, I don't even like Senpuujin (The lion being 80% of the combined figure is all kinds of meh), but I would consider the Black version if I had extra money to throw around.

I've determined that the wiki is full of shit. Unless there's some magical secret I'm missing, I can find no sensible way for Gaoking and Time Shadow to combine. Even trying to do it the same way Shadow latches onto to Time Robo doesn't work.

I wonder if the answers lie in Gaoranger Vs Timeranger.

There is no Gaoranger Vs Timeranger though. Gaoranger's "VS" special was VS Super Sentai. They didn't have a Timeranger specific VS. So there's no information to go off of.

I've heard talk before that a film was planned but then scrapped in favor of VS Super Sentai. But I highly doubt that. Considering how far in advance the shows and accompanying movies are planned, VS Super Sentai was always going to happen.

At least Gaoking Shadow can be drawn if not actually formed.

Did the Victory Mars/Time Shadow work out though?

Sooooooooo I gave this a whirl tonight to see if it's even possible and, well, the picture speaks for itself.

And here's the combo with GaoKing. I have no idea why the pictures are turned 90 degrees. They are fine on my computer.

Somebody either made a mistake, actually somehow did it, or was just posting stuff to mess with people.

It could work you just have to have the chest plate in the jet mode confuration, but then you loose the combined look.

There should be a thread of just putting random bots in side time shadow or other carrier zords. Like the bullzord pic I took a while back with the MMPr 2010 megazord standing in for samurai ho-oh.
