Well, with recent information that the Power Ranger Super MegaForce merchandise has been released, we're lucky enough to have some of our own members get their hands on the merchandise! I did a quick video of the new Mega Saber in case anybody wanted to check out how it works. I also have a video of the morpher and megazord uploading too.

It's really cool and a huge step up for BoA. I was considering getting this, but the sounds are a bit off-putting for me.

It actually looks pretty cool, its blade is definitely better proportioned then the Gokai Sabre.

But no "FINAL WAVE!!" no buy.

Damn...gotta admit I'm impressed. The only thing that sticks out to me is that awful unpainted grey they use for the flip down key shaft.

If it said final wave, I would consider it, but a random voice saying super mega sabre just sounds stupid to me. So pass.

Why are people complaining this Power Rangers toy isn't a sentai toy? Idiots...

In response to the toy, I actually think that saber is pretty neat. I know nothing about Gokaiger basically, so I didn't realise it incorporated the keys. I might get this saber, and start collecting the keys, as I'd rather this than the morpher which I think is kinda naff.

Not idiots; Megaforce incorporated stuff like "Gosei Dynamic" and "Knight Dynamic", so its fair enough if people were hoping "Final Wave", which was a very memorable part of the weapons, would be incorporated in Super Megaforce and won't buy it because its instead replaced by someone saying "Super Mega Saber", which isn't nearly as memorable or significant.

There's also other stuff which is a little disappointing, like the complete lack of any Pink/Yellow acknowledgement or the sword not identifying what colour the key inserted is and flashing lights accordingly. Although, as I said, the sword is better proportioned then the Gokai Sabre was, which is a plus.

Just because a few things are incorporated, it doesn't automatically mean that everything else is required to be adapted as well. I've said it a million times, and I'll say it for the million and first: Super Megaforce IS NOT Gokaiger. Plain and simple.

If you don't like the way things are being done, either get a job with Saban and work your way up the ladder or go write fanfiction.

They incorporated that due to laziness though, everything about Megaforce was just so damn lazy. I'm hoping if these toys are anything to go by, Super Megaforce might not be so bad. But here's hoping.

And come on, no one hates women more than super sentai.

No one ever said it does mean its required, just that people can hope/want something to be done and not buy something if what they were hoping for doesn't, just like the opposite. If you like the "Super Mega Saber!" voice clip and weren't hoping for "Final Wave", then awesome, you have the toy you want, go buy it and enjoy it. Although, nobody was complaining about the show or anything to do with Saban in this moment, just what they'd prefer on the toys, my white knight, in all likelihood they won't shout "SUPER MEGA SABER" for the Final Wave equivalent in the show because it usually has the guns too. The toys often do not have the same clips as the show.

I'd say they're about even. The Gokaiger toyline gave equal focus to the female keys and functionality, though.

This isn't Gokaiger. It's Super Megaforce. If you want a Gokai Saber, import one. And random voice? That's Andrew Grey who plays Troy.

I dunno man. I don't think there is a huge gap between the two, but sentai seems much happier to just turn things into a giant sausagefest. That does mean that often Power Rangers women are just tacked on, and were never originally meant to be there in the first place, but at least Power Rangers tries to appeal to a wider range of genders and races. About the best variation you get in sentai is occasionally one of the team members is a little chubby.

I can't speak of the toys however, I never had any interest in Gokaiger.

That voice sounds really boring. "Super MEGA saber...". The only comparison I an draw is this.

I actually like the proportion of the blade from BoA version. May get me a couple to give to my son to play with.

If you don't like the voice saying "SUPER MEGA SABER!" it's probably because you don't like Troy. His ADR hasn't been too great the entire series, so it's not surprising if it suffers a tad in crossing over from show to toy.

This looks pretty cool, especially the proportions of the blade. Very tempted to pick this up but I'll probably wait for a sale or something. Already got the Legends Mobirate so maybe I'll get the Legendary morpher during a sale as well.

BoA actually did a fantastic job on this saber. Very impressed.

Its really funny that I read an article like this http://icv2.com/articles/news/27293.html and then see that after only being out 4 days or so they have already increased the prices of the super megaforce figs. The megazord and morpher are now 32.99. I'm glad I got mine already. The saber also jumped up 5.00 more bucks to 29.99. The double action figures also jumped to 14.99.
