Fourze, A Missed Opportunity
 

I enjoyed the series as a whole and its movies, but I have one problem. How is it that in his movie wars, and most of all his own movie, did Fourze not meet Super-1? I mean come on, how could he not meet the only other space rider? It would of made so much sense in the Fourze movie. sorry if this has been mentioned in other threads.

It's never been mentioned before that I know of but it makes perfect sense. Super-1 was devoloped originally to explore deep space, Fourze being what he is.. How the heck did this not happen?

I have yet to see it, but from my understanding Super-1 teams up with Fourze and Meteor in Super Hero Taisen Z.

That said, a proper team-up in one of the Fourze movies would have been awesome.

It makes so much sense it boggles the mind I mean I kept expecting to see it in his movie after I saw the movie war with OOO. I mean he met the legendary seven, why not his predecessor when he went to a space station in his movie?

It doesn't make any sense. But I did enjoy they included Ikkuman or whatever that blue guy was. I suck at names :lol

it was nice seeing classic characters though in the movies.

The thing is Super-! is also suprisingly absent from the Net Movies regarding Fourze, maybe he's shy or something.

I have mixed feelings on the use of older characters, it works at times, but imo it feels forced.

yeah, I would say it made more sense in the anniversary of kamen rider that spanned OOO and Fourze, the Wizard one making the least sense. but generally it rarely works bringing back old characters. That being said, long live Kenji Ohba.

Inazuman.

Concerning Fourze and Super-1, I think it's more because of the purpose. When you get down to it, what would it establish? They have a tenuous connection that really just boils down to a basic theme. It's like complaining Chalice didn't team up with KR Double or Joker, or the Hopper Hell Brothers not pairing with 1 and 2.

It'd be a neat little scene, but it's not like a major missed opportunity because, honestly, if they did meet up, they'd just stand next to each other and look at the camera for half a minute unless they get Super-1's actor back and they make a full fledged cross over.

My main problem is that most of the time it feels like the executives forced the production team use those old characters, I loved seeing Zubat and co in All Riders, it felt logical and even heartwarming, but on Fourze/Wizard it looked like they already had a clear idea of the story they wanted to tell, but had to use characters they didn't want to.

I don't think that's quite the case. The Inazuman portion was, really, the actual story. The crossover between the two was just a painfully long bus chase with little actual interaction between Wizard and Fourze, and Wizard's portion was so bland I legitimately don't remember what happened.
Honestly, it felt like they wanted to make an Inazuman movie but were forced to throw Fourze and other Riders into the mix. Notice how much time they spent establishing the psychic students, Inazuman's personal dilemmas, and etc.

It really feels like they wanted to reboot Inazuman and put him in a high school, but last minute were forced to make Gentaro his teacher.

A Blade 10 years after would be glorious. I need resolution to what happened in the series!

And while the little nod would've been nice, it's not like we really lost much by not having it.

yeah its not a major missed chance, it just would have been a nice treat for parents and fans that would have made sense than most crossovers. he could have been one of the people that helped build the space station. but I suppose if it did happen it would have been in the OOO and Fourze movie war. I forget if he was seen in the clip in episode 1 of Fourze when past riders were shown. I did love the Inazuman portion and action. though I wonder how good the plot of the Kyoryuger VS movie will be with four teams in it.

Well, if the first SHT showed, Super-1 (And Skyrider) aren't really treated as high up on the rungs in terms of priority, being shafted and just having a Legendary 7 going from Ichigou to Stronger.

disappointing but what can you do. if people want it bad enough there is always art and fanfiction.

Considering the now seeming necessity of Rider crossovers, who knows. Maybe Gaim will give you all what you want and have Fourze and Super-1 buddying up.

We all do! The SIC Hero Saga already gives a good plot for the movie, and most of the cast is in good terms with the franchise.

wouldn't make sense now since its a heisei rider anniversary movie of sorts. plus the gaim wizard movie looks interesting enough the way it is. I wouldn't want to see that happen now anyway since it never bothered me all that much. also all this shoe horning does have an effect on the story.

The early 80s Riders are often looked over, yeah. The Legendary 7 get a ton of love, Black and Black RX are really popular, but Skyrider, Super-1, and ZX tend to get ignored a lot. They only get a little more love than the 90s movie Riders.

Shin and ZO deserve all the love.

Yeah he's standing in a group shot with the Dekarangers too.

J is unfairly overlooked. I think he's the only Rider who was also a Red on Sentai.

I think it would have been cool to see those two, but if we are gonna get the two SPace Riders, I want the two Jokers to be together :lol
