That's terrible.
What a sad way to end the year :( his contribution to the fandom will certainly be missed.
My thoughts and prayers to all his friends and family. |
It's always depressing when someone dies near new years.
I followed JEFusion for a very long time, before I even thought of doing TokuNation. They were an inspiration for me (along with RangerBoard and RangerCrew). I have always envied their dedication. I know many people have purposely created "fake news" to get them to report on it in response to their lack of proper crediting sources, but at the end of the day it all seems childish and unimportant.
RIP GekiDan, and thank you for all you did for the tokusatsu community. |
This is just the worst news to end such a fantastic year of tokusatsu on. GekiDan will most certainly be missed. I may not have known him personally but I greatly respect his work and what he's done for news coverage in our genre. Bravo good sir.
Dang. :( Sucks, Ive never really looked at JEFusion, but I know it was a good and dedicated group. Sorry for the family and friends.
After all the cool toku news this year it has to end like this. I first found out about JEFusion when rumors of a white combo for OOO came around. While that never came to fruition I stuck around because it was and still is a great resource for tokusatsu news.
May he rest in peace. It's not going to be the same without him, but we all owe it to him to carry on the spirit of his dreams. |
OMG!! I'm in utter shock right now, while I did not know GekiDan personally, his creation was deeply ingrained into my daily routine for many many years. May he rest in peace and thanks for all he has brought to all of our lives
Damn. He was one of the first english speaking toku fans out there on the net.
He will be missed. |
Wow, JEFusion was the premier source of Toku news and one I used heavily. This is really sad news. May he rest in peace.
I always went to JEFusion for my toku news before I signed up here. It's a shame to see him pass. RIP, sir.
One of the 1st sites I got into when I joined the fandom was Jefusion. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be missed.
Wow, that sucks. RIP.

A major influence on all us fans.
RIP & best wishes to his family. |
How depressing. JEFusion is the place that really introduced me to sentai, and before Tokunation was my main news source. I pray for his family and friends, such a sad way to end an incredible year for us all.
Rest in peace man.
Quite the unfortunate news. JEFusion was my original go-to place for toku stuff back towards the tail end of 2012, when I was first discovering things for myself beyond TJ and Vangelus' reviews of figuarts and the like. That's where I went to watch Wizard towards the beginning of its run, where I got all my news, etc.
RIP |
I usualy pop in to see any news there.
Sad to hear about his passing. RIP. :( |
This is some sad news. A few years ago, JEFusion was my primary source of Toku news. Rest in Peace any my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Though I didn't know much about him, and still don't know much about JeFusion, I know enough to know this is a great loss to our community. Thoughts and prayers to him, his loved ones, and friends, during this terrible time.
Woah. It's really sad to see someone who did so much for the toku fandom pass away. R.I.P GekiDan.
Jefusion has run an article on Dan's passing
I had no idea of his medical issues, nor that he was so young. He's maybe 6 months younger than me. That's far too short a life time for anyone and my heart goes out to his family. |
Jefusion was also my place to go before Tokunation. It's where I was able to keep watching Toku after I left Japan :(. This is really sad, I wish the best for Dan's family :(
Sad to hear the news. When I first came back to watching Toku with Gokaiger JEFusion was my source for streams. Actually it still is. My thoughts and prayers to his family. And I hope that they would manage to still keep their site up somehow.
Wow. Wondered what mightve caused it but dang, thats so sad. :( Feel for his family.
That's terrible, and finding out how young he was made it even more heartwrenching.
24 is way too young to die. I just can't understand why he was taken from us so soon. It's mind boggling that he's gone.
I knew that Genki had a rare illness but I didn't know it was as severe as centronuclear myopathy. It's so rare and we have no way to treat it. :(
It shouldn't happen to someone so young. RIP GekiDan, and I wish your family the best.
