I do not understand why Toei felt it was necessary to have Kuwagaraiger and HurricaneBlue gender-swap.

I don't understand why the Rangers would talk so much over their morphs.

Well, if they were Power Rangers fans, they'd be squealing with excitement.

If would have been awesome if the phone shouted the series. SAMURAI! WILD FORCE! MYSTIC FORCE! OVERDRIVE! JUNGLE FURY!

I miss the phones shouting things... :(

If they can't even have their morphers shout out the name of the series their respective Ranger Key was from, then I have little to no hope for Super Megaforce.

It was ok

I stopped watching Megaforce halfway through during that long break but I might start watching Super Megaforce to see how things are.

Liking it so far.

It looks good so far and the red ranger thing when they were morphing looked like original footage, combined with Japanese footage, which if it was it was executed well. The phone not shouting things is a bit of a downgrade, but IDK the mobirates to me sorta helped me learn some older Sentai names, while here I feel like kids could be a bit confused as to what season the rangers are representing.

I thought it was missing something. Seems like a missed opportunity to sell the toy too.

I really hope this series is good, I really do.

Am I the only one who was hoping for the original morphing calls? "Ninja Storm, Ranger Form! (turn key)"...guess that was just me being optimistic.

I'll be perfectly honest - that looked terrible. And is about just what I expected from watching Megaforce.

The morpher should announce the series each morph is from because it helps the viewer understand where each Ranger is coming from. I doubt kids could tell Lightspeed Rescue from Lost Galaxy, etc.

PS - They didn't even get the Legendary poses correct! Seriously, Saban?!

What are you talking about? They had the rangers transform into colors that coresponded to their own in Gokaiger. Hurricane Blue corresponds to Gokai Blue. Why would they have the female yellow turn into that blue? Just for gender corespondance? Makes no sense. When and where they could they matched them up properly but gender bent new costumes was an inevitability.

I just think it would have made more sense to have GokaiBlue turn into Kuwagaraiger and GokaiPink into HurricaneBlue. But that's just me and my thoughts.

But why? Just to have the genders line up better? How would you apply that logic to other shows then? Would you suggest they make magi blue one of the girls then, even though yellow blue and pink all have colors that line up from Magiranger?

I hate to sound like a jerk but what would be the point of coloring inside the lines so to speak on the gender box? The whole gimmick of the show was they could turn into any ranger, but when it came to full teams they always lined them up as best at they could with corresponding colors.

You gotta think about number placement too dude.

Joe had a corresponding color counterpart. Ahim didn't, but as the 5th member, she gets KuwagaRaiger as her next option.

I like the number/color placement over the genders. It's just less confusing and doesn't emphasize the gender aspect over the powers.

Don't worry about it. This is just me with my strange sense of... balance I guess?

i have to agree that i wish that the morphers would announce the series name, but who knows maybe it will. it could just be that for this morph they wanted to focus on what the rangers had to say about their new powers.

More like, wanted to focus on bland out of context sentences that don't match the body language :p

Seriously, does rangers loose their hearing when they morph? Cause the shouting has gotting stupid.

They also need to work on their puns. Emma should have shouted "let's make them see red", not "let's make them black and blue."

Things I noticed that saddened me:

- No phone call outs
- Generic music
- Toei footage shows an emblem when morphing to a past Ranger but the morph to OO which was Saban footage featured no such emblem or logo.

Can't do it.
Just something about the shows since samurai completely turns me off. The actors, the dialogue...I think I'm just way too old at his point for the target audience

Wait, so the Operation Crapperdrive was Original Footage, and the fight scene with them will be too? Saban, doing fight scenes? What is this?

I totally called that the second episode of Gokaiger's fight scenes would be used for the first episode of Megaforce.

But oh god, the talking. The constant jibber-jabber. Plz stop. I know they're covering up the "SHIIIIINKENGER", "GAAAAAAAORANGER", etc. but that is really annoying, will they be doing that for every single Gokai change?

You do know the audio removed from the footage so they can use there own sounder effect this only thing you can still see the kanji off GAO ranger in the change that's it

What are you talking about? I mean that they're jibber-jabbering like idiots so there isn't silence where the Mobirates used to say the names of the series.

I don't like it. I thought the Series names were awesome. It'd make the toy a hell of a lot more interesting if they had Power Rangers versions and the scenes less awkward if this jibber-jabber through the scene is a recurring thing.

Yes...because they couldn't let Megaforce's powers go as noble sacrifices to save the Earth like the Goseiger powers were in Gokaiger, and thus, reduced the Gokaiger suits to glorified team upgrades. They couldn't use the footage showing Doc transforming into Gosei Red, because Troy won't just go away and give up his powers. so they slapped OO Red in there.

This is what seperates the babies, from the men. All that shouting sounds like a narrative almost. They gotta tell the kids what's happening for them to grasp.

I dont know if its the really cheesy lines they are shouting or something else but the whole scene felt really really awkward.

Simple fix would be to get them to say "SAMURAI!", "WILD FORCE!" The toy already does this, so why not transfer that to the show and sell the toy at the same time? It's a win-win situation.

Here's hoping that other morphs in the show will use that instead of filling it with pointless jabber.

I hate to hate but I'm about to sound like I am. I just can't for the life of me understand why Saban just drains the life out of the source material and inserts these terrible voice overs. It's like they're trying to record the most out of context emotionless dialogue possible to insert into scenes like this. Not to mention because of the ass backwards way they're keeping the Megaforce suits in this show they had to change the entire scene too.

Not all Power Rangers morph scenes are that awkward. :lol The pre-neo-Saban (wow, can that be a word?) ones could occasionally be pretty decent, and I know that up to Samurai, there are some people who generally prefer American morph scenes.

But since Samurai, really, it just looks like they're not trying at all. A complete lack of passion from most of the production team. I don't know who's at fault but I had really hoped they'd pick up their act by now.
