Tattoo General.
 

Do you love the burn of needle on skin? Crafting your body into a tapestry of art? Me too!

I currently have four tattoos (one is on my bum and no one wants to see that) but here are my other ones. Literally just took these with my front facing camera, so sorry about the quality of the photography. If I had friends maybe these would be better :lol

These are are both in memory of my Mum, firstly the date she died and then a heavily modified version of the tattoo she used to have in the same place.

Then this one is in recognition of my favourite film ever, it's super detailed and wraps all around my arm and I LOVE this tattoo so much but as I was using my front facing camera I couldn't get a decent angle or decent lighting so I can't really show off just how good this really is.

I have three tattoo's, the NAF Blood Bowl logo (which I plan to get covered) on my upper left arm, the Full Metal Alchemist homunculus symbol on my right arm and this Swamp Thing pic which will be coloured in the future on my upper right arm. It's the only pic I have available, sorry. :(

I own no tattoos, but I live within walking distance of a tattoo parlor, so it's not exactly out of the question.

Concerning the tattoos I see, they're quite nice. Makes me curious about getting one.

I have two, one on each shoulder, is a design I came up with called a broken yin yang...the other is the mask of the comic character Grendel.

Oh hey. This thread is up my alley. I have 13 tattoos. And I'm still working on more. I will have to get some pics on here. Here is my list

Kamen rider OOO , the 5 original power rangers , dragonzord , green ranger , alpha 5 , Raphael from the ninja turtles , sweedish chef , booster gold , green lantern symbol , spider-man symbol , bizarro superman symbol , T. rex from jurrassic park and wall-e and eve.

My next one is happening in march. It's kamen rider bravo. Can't wait for it

My newest one. It's still healing and needs a touch up on the lettering when it heals. It has a special meaning to me because my dad bought me this card set as a kid, out of the blue.

I consider it my gateway drug to nerdom
Booster gold was my favorite card from the set.

Oh man that MMPR sleeve is so sweet.

Bizarro was my first tattoo at 18. It's become my least favorite. But it's original meaning to me was the logic that Bizarro meant well , but always screwed up. That pretty much summed up my teens. The color choice was simply that line green and purple are my favorites.

The power rangers have no meaning. I just really freaking loved MMPR!

That T-Rex is GORGEOUS.

I had a friend in Uni, who had full sleeves on both arms, hands, tattoos on his chest, back, legs and feet and he hated almost all of them! They all had meaning to him - as a lot were done by friends practising - so he appreciated them on that level, but as he's a big tattoo guy he got a lot of tattoos which were trendy at the time, but sadly time moves on and the skin can't change.

That is why I only have four, because I would quite happily go out tomorrow and get like Alata and Eiji tattood on my leg or something but unlike say my Blade Runner tattoo which can stand up as just a nice piece of art, Alata and Eiji may not even be relevant to me in a year, let alone a decade or longer.

Hey, to each their own. I can relate to the tattoos not being relevant to my interests already. But I look it as a time piece of how I felt or what I was into at the time. The nostalgic ones like MMPR or tmnt or Jurassic park all have a weird pop culture timeless feel. And I like that about them.
