Ultraman Victory Trademarked?
 

From Televi-Kun Magazine. Seems like a trademark has been filed for a series called Ultraman Victory.

I hope this is true, and if it is, i hope it will be a full 50+ series and not a 13 episode mini-series like Ginga.

This has gotta be better than Ginga. Very hopeful about this one. Ginga had it's moments, but it really didn't hold together well.

My biggest problem with Ginga was how they used the Spark Dolls. When you first hear the concept, you would think that meant Ginga could change into past Ultras, but he doesn't.

And speaking of which, We REALLY need an Ultra series that's stand alone, no past Ultras. The last that happened was Max.

Being completely new to Ultraman, it was nice to see that he changed into the monsters instead of the past heroes, I thought that was a nice twist to the whole gimmick.

BUT…they really should've spent more time doing Ultraman tributes and not that Retsudan stuff. Seems like an odd choice for an anniversary show to be mostly about recap.

I've wanted to get into Ultraman forever. I stuck it hard with Nexus after the great movie, but I just couldn't get into it. I also tried Tiga, could barely get past the first few episodes.

So who knows, maybe Victory will be my window in.

Tiga is possibly one of the most boring shows you'll every watch. Like 95% episodes that have nothing to do with any sort of overall plot. I was really disappointed with Tiga. Nexus I found to be very enjoyable though, despite it having been cancelled early.

At least I know I'm not alone on the whole Tiga thing! I actually don't even remember why I couldn't get into Nexus maybe I'll reread my LWW posts.

Maybe I'll check out Max next, that is fully subbed, right?

Interested, but I'm also hoping it'll be a longer show than Ginga.

Which I feel like I haven't watched in forever.

I can't think about Taiga without thinking of that hilariously horrible 4Kids dubbing.

Yeah, from what i've seen Nexus is good, and i like how Nexus isn't just one guy, and had multiple users over the course of the series, giving it a nice change of pace.

Well there are like five HK sub episodes at the end, but I can deal with that.

I really hope that it's going to be a full series, but I'm not going to get TOO excited.

I feel like the only person these days who doesn't find Tiga boring in the least. :(

I've enjoyed what I've seen of Tiga, but I don't go into Ultraman expecting any kind of overarching storyline.

I really do hope this turns out to be a proper show, preferably one with a budget this time.

Well hopefully it's better than Ginga, and I'm currently trying Mebuis.

I really doubt Tsuburaya has the finance to produce even a 39 episode series at this point. I see two possibilities: 1) a mini series will be featured in Retsuden like Ginga or Mega Monster Rush; 2) the name is a new Ultra who will be in Ginga season 2.

Moderately excited for now, but definitely looking forward for more info.

That said I really doubt it's going to be a new show.

Ultraman Victory sounds like a movie or a videogame to me. Or both! Has anyone translated the trademark thing yet? I see a lot of merchandise listed.

Boring is certainly a strange word to describe Tiga. I've started watching it lately and I think it's a lot of fun.

Ultraman needs to go back to its original format. The Retsuden format just feels weird and I wanna blame it for not letting Zero and Ginga shine like it should. I hope Victory goes back to the old format.

I'm nearly done with it. Only two episodes of the series and the movies left. Not many of the episodes have been dedicated to moving the plot forward I admit, but it's been such a fun ride that I don't really mind.

I have to agree there. Ginga really should have been allowed to be it's own thing, rather than be shoved into a compilation series.

I say boring for Tiga because so few of the episodes move the plot. I suppose disappointing may have been a better choice of words :(

They dedicated three whole episodes to the finale. That's something, I suppose.

I like Nexus and Meubus but other than those I haven't been able to get into Ultraman at all. No idea why, it just has not been able to get it's hooks in me.

Hooo me likely. Hopefully this will be something a little more consistent for me to get into. I liked Ginga a lot, but with it having such a short episode count and disappearing for months halfway through I kinda strayed away :(

Just make a full series again please. So sick of the Retsudan format.

Imagine if Urobuchi wrote an Ultraman series....
