I like the look, I think. But there seems to be even less articulation than ToQ-Oh has.
|
What's with the rainbow Red Ressha?
Also, DieselOh is EXACTLY what I wanted from ToQGer EDIT: Can anyone translate a release date for this big boy? |
He looks like a brightly painted cardboard model. Still like it though.
|
Looks awesome, but what I want is that rainbow Red Ressha. :lol
|
It'd be cool if the inevitable translucent Minipla ToQoh had the same rainbow plastic as that Red Ressha.

APRIL FOOLS!
Wait...that is actually what it looks like? Really? Oh. |
Well it will take a whole to get used to but thus far I like it, and that Ressha.
|
Damn, already got Car Carrier and Tank, no rainbow nightmare resha for me!
Release date is around the 18th I think, might be the 25th. I know its back end of the month. Not the greatest looking mecha, but like all of the Go-onger mecha, its not about the individual robots, its all about the clusterf*ck combination along the way (and at the end). Plan on picking up Diesel soon as it hits Mandarake, maybe ebay. Must have either way! |
Not to shabby looking. But it does give a 'card board box' giant robot feel to it.
I kinda dig it. |

25th will be a bit of a pain. |

I'm not a big fan of robots that are intentionally boxy like Diesel Oh. |
I must be crazy. I really love this guy. Looks very much like it's related to the Daibouken, which of course means I'll love it.

Looking forward to your review of it. |
This looks like something out of Transformers G1. Or Diaclone.

I love it because I wanted a freight train robo and got it. I'm taking what's given rather than complaining about how silly it looks. |

Like I don't get how you can support something that is simultaneously lazy, while looking like shit while it is at it. It looks like a zero articulation bootleg of something way better. |
the only thing that looks worse than this is the combo with ToQoh
|
As I mentioned previously with Tokkyu-Oh, I plan on waiting until Bandai Of America releases their Zord Builder version.

I love it's design, but it seems a little uncomfortable.
|
Nope, sorry, but it looks pretty awful.
And that's from someone who LOVES the Kyoryuger mecha. They can be incredibly simple and not suck at the same time, just look at Gokaioh and Dekaranger Robo, very simple but two of the best Sentai mecha ever through looks and awesome gimmicks alone. |

Y'know, I really wish Tokkyuger took ques from Might Gaine…it's not impossible to design good looking train combiners…it just takes a little IMAGINATION

"Hey look it's designed to look shitty so that is okay!" What the fuck is this, moon logic? |

I'm not looking for Diesel Oh to set a new standard or anything really. Just less parts forming after last years abominations. |
It looks campy.
|
at least he has a hand.
|
Them legs... They looked a bit too long.

I don't regret getting ToQoh, but he's still uninspired and uninteresting outside of his functionality with the ToQ Changer and the rest of the line so far has been really quite lame, the Diesel Train at least is more interesting then the Car Carrier and Tank Trains, but it really isn't hard to beat them. Kyoryuger's mecha weren't fantastic and are definitely love 'em or hate 'em, but they were gigantic (a bonus that Gokaioh somewhat has too) and had fun music gimmicks, while ToQger's line doesn't really have anything to give it an edge. Of the three mentioned simple mecha, Gokaioh is simple to support his line-wide opening gimmick and Dekeranger Robo and Kyoryujin both had electronics. Just seems lame that ToQger's mecha have nothing like that to justify the fact that they do pretty much nothing when combined. |
I love it,and not just to spite Locke.I think it brings the bulky power look that it contains.I mean it's called Diesel-Oh,of course it's going to look boxy and big,it's the muscle mecha of the group.
That being said,it isn't the prettiest, but let's be honest. If this was shit on the show, then they wouldn't have let it pass in design. It probably looks amazing in motion on the show, but this is the toy. I love it for it's big, broad look, and it shows that it is the brawler of the group.Let's face it,we have all criticized mecha before in the past only to eat our own words with the final form.I honestly think the combination beyond the first two mecha will be fantastic.(I.e. ToQ-Oh+Diesel-Oh+....) Also,to be fair, there are some sweet looking ressha coming out that could really spice up the combinations. |
