Loving it. It keeps the classic aesthietic and updates it just enough. But Toei is great at this. look at Izuzuman or whatever his name was. (I can't spell)

Can't remember all. :)

- Kikaider 40th anniversary was 2 years ago. Shirakura didn't do it because of 1) It is very difficult to write a good story for it. 2) Gavan was having its anniversary as well. He can only pick one of them. 3) Not sure if there is any market for it.
- Kadokawa's Inoue proposed to remake Kikaider.
- Story proposed by Kadokawa side. Robot Cinderella story.
- Blue side is intelligence, red side is basic instinct. The claw resembles the desire of a beast.
- Jiro isn't transforming into Kikaider. It is Kikaider who is transforming into Jiro.
- Both conpanies spent a year and a half trying to find a proper way to explain the expression of a robot.
- Gemini is developed by Dr. Komyoji, and Maeno Kyujiro (Ban Daisuke). Fans could imagine of the old Jiro is still alive, and helped developing new robots for the world.
- Hattori Hanpei is in the movie.
- Kikaider isn't strong, but pretty fragile.
- Irie (Jiro's actor) will be in the Kikaider suit most of the time.
- Mari, a "bijin" (beautiful woman), will be introduced.
- Staff picked for the movie are those who haven't worked on Rider nor Sentai. Shirakura doesn't want the movie to look like any of the other works.
- Target audience is old fans. But what Shirakura really wanted is to have couples watching this movie.
- Shirakura wanted this movie to be a success, surpassing Rider and Super Sentai movies.
- Inoue says if there are enough audience a sequel may be considered.
- Kadokawa's long dead toku magazine "Tokusatsu Newtype" is coming back because of Kikaider.
