Given that I study Japanese for about a year, yeah, I at least get the gist of it and I do understand some sentences as a whole. Of course my Japanese is still far from making me understand the details, but it's enough to get what's going on without subs- at least in Sentai. It's a bit harder in Kamen Rider because the language is a bit more difficult and it has a heavier focus on dialogue.

Did Koichi direct this? It doesn't feel that way - the battles feel "traditional" Sentai-ish, meaning no super crazy stunts or shaky cam.

According to Rangerwiki, it was directed by Noboru Takemoto.

I haven't watched yet. How many spinning, slow-motion, upskirt shots am I in for?

None. As said before, it wasn't Sakamoto who directed this.

Ok I was watch some at nigh and I note the scratch logo from geki ranger over layed in front of a tiger.

Oh right that far I was the same way when I was watching one piece German dub as a kid before a 4 kids dubbed it now I sub watch it

The best scene ever? Devoss lecturing and berating these new kids how they are not sentai. :D
