Top 5 favorite toy lines growing up.
When we were kids there was always that batches of toys we looked forward too when we were kids, either waiting for Christmas or going down the toy aisle just to see if anything new came out. I know I had my favorites, the ones I usually ended up playing with the most, so just for fun I thought I make a thread about it.
my personal top 5 1. Masters of the Universe 2. Transformers 3. G.I. Joe 4. M.A.S.K. 5. Star Wars |
1. Lego
2. Beyblade 3. Hot Wheels 4. Star Wars 5. SD Gundams |
1. Dapol's Doctor Who line
2. Lego 3. MMPR 4. Batman: The Animated Series 5. Spider-Man: The Animated Series |
1. Power Rangers
2. Transformers 3. X-Men 4. Spider-Man 5. Beyblades |
In no real order:
Bionicle. Transformers. Power Rangers. Zoids. Digimon |
Here are mine:
That's about it, really, I don't have a fifth. Parents stopped buying toys really early so I didn't collect much until I started college and could afford my own toys. Quote:

In no specific order once so ever
Lego Power Rangers Beyblade GI Joe Spider-Man |

A new show would be cool. |

And yes, a new Zoids show would be the bees knees. |
1. Transformers (Be it G1/G2 to Beast Wars, I adored my Transformers, being one of the few series I never stopped watching/collecting)
2. Power Rangers (I wish I could afford the original Megazord. The first Megazord that I ended up getting was Red Dragon Thunderzord, and I loved that thing~) 3. Zoids (Man, I wish that series did better in the US. I LOVED those models more than Gundam models) 4. Beyblades (The amount of ripcord whippings and exploding attack rings that hit my brother and I was crazy. We were constantly getting new ones just to replace what we broke through constant play :lol) 5. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (I'm cheating here, since I legitimately can't remember any other toylines I remembered loving while I grew up. There were other toys, Pokemon and Digimon figures, Medabots and Beetleborg toys, but I was never big into those series's lines as a whole. Also, I fucking love ponies) Mild shout out to Batman, though. I desperately wanted to collect the figures from TAS, but I either spent my money on a new TF or video game, or my mom just said "No." |
Lets see.
1:Transformers 2:Beyblade 3:Zoids 4:Bionicle 5:Digimon ...I wanna see Zoids make a comeback someday. |
Power rangers
Transformers/ beast wars Superman the animated serise toys Batman Digimon Bayblade. There was more but can't remember. Best thing I got as a ki was when I was 3 we just moved to Portland Dorset in the UK and I had no friends at the time so I got in to power rangers and my parents got my the red dragon thunder Zord I loved that toys I had it with me even when I had a Sunday road and drop it In Gravey and broke so they got me a new one the for Xmas that same year i got the assault team |
I am showing my age with this list, but here it goes:
1)Transformers G1 2)Lego 3)Matchbox 4)Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 5)Dino Riders |
1. LEGO: LEGO was always my number 1 toy, I had more LEGO than anything else by far.
2. Transformers: I started with G1, but I was into Transformers up through Armada. As an adult, though, Transformers has brought me back in recent years with the Masterpiece line and the current comics. 3. ZBots: I had a ton of these little guys. It's shame most people seem to have forgotten about them or never even knew of them, it was one of my favorite lines growing up. 4. Power Rangers: Kind of a given, considering I'm on this site! I actually didn't buy a ton of the toys though, mostly just Megazords. 5. Batman: TAS: Really like these toys as a kid, I still remember one of my favorites was a Mr. Freeze that had a little squirt gun you could put water in. |
1) Robo Force
2) Power Rangers 3) Lego 4) Thundercats 5) Transformers |
1) transformers
2) lego 3) star wars 4) power rangers 5) medabots |

My top 5 that I grew up collecting as a kid during the 90's and the early parts of the 2000's would be in no specific order:
1. Trendmasters Godzilla 2. Transformers (mainly Beast Wars/Beast Machines) 3. Jurassic Park 4. Power Rangers 5. Pokemon/Digimon (A tie) HM: Animorphs Bionicle Creepy Crawlers Dragon Ball Z/GT Super Battle Collection figures Extreme Dinosaurs Gargoyles Hot Wheels Kenner Alien series Legos Street Sharks Starship Troopers Star Wars Spawn |
Even though I'm still growing up and was only born in 2000 I still had a lot of cool toys from when I was a small little child.
1. Legos 2. Transformers ( mostly transformers energon you know the one had those sweet upgrades and Leo breaker was in it. ) 3. Marvel action figures. 4. Power rangers 5. Digimon |
Bionicle
Transformers ReKonstructors Power Rangers Beanie Babies |
1. Bionicle
2. Transformers 3. Power Rangers Megazords And that's it, I never really played with any other toys when growing up since my interest were mainly in those above 3. |
When it came to Transformers, I started with Beast Wars then stop around Armada. I started to collect Transformers again during Prime and now I kinda stop because I'm running out of space for things.
As a kid, Beast Wars Megatron was the toy that I played with the most. I would take this everywhere I go as a kid and play it to death until every part of it was broken. |
1. Bionicle
2. Lego 3. Beyblade 4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 5. Star Wars |
Anyone else other then me grew up playing with Jurassic Park toys.
|
1. X-Men (TOY BIZ!)
2. Power Rangers 3. G.I. Joe 4. Batman TAS 5. Ninja Turtles |
1) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I'm honestly surprised that I'm only the 3rd/4th person to mention this. The original line was pure plastic awesomeness and it is definitely my number 1.
2) G.I. Joe, figures + vehicles for the win!!! 3) G1 Transformers 4) Masters of the Universe, Castle Greyskull is still one of the greatest playsets I ever got. 5) The Real Ghostbusters/Power Rangers |
Transformers: Cybertron Onwards
Bionicle Power Rangers ...That was really it. Apart from Pokémon, but I don't think that counts. |
Huh, let's see. For me it was probably

2: TMNT (1987 version) 3:MoTU (first version) 4: Power Rangers (first to second season) 5:WWF (1980s version; still pissed at World Wildlife Foundation for throwing a huge stink over sharing initials with a wresting corporation.
