New Kamen Rider Kuuga comics coming soon?
From those who have attended today's Kamen Rider Gaim Final Stage
there is an announcement of a new Kuuga comic coming soon to Monthly Heroes magazine. Story will be written by Inoue Toshiki, artist unknown, produced by Toei's Shirakura Shinichiro. EDIT: Artist seems to be Yokoshima Hitotsu https://twitter.com/hyokoshima Starts in November issue of Monthly Heroes (release Oct.1) |
Hmm, gonna put my scouter to skepticism mode on this one for now. If it was a Jetman spin-off sequel I would not complain since that is all Inoue. But this... I dunno *scratches head

Which is ironic since Jetman and Agito (both shows done by him) are in my top 3. He has done Faiz, Kiva, the OOO part of Movie Wars core, the Ryuki novel that came out a whuile back and lots of other stuff. The Guy can write sure but 80% I have seen by him was an overblown soap opera that was just painful to sit through and I´m scared of what he will do to Kuuga. |

I am excited for this because I love Kuuga, however I don't know if I'll even be able to read it if it doesn't get translated.

How does this man keep getting jobs in Kamen Rider??
The quality of his work has gone down so much since Agito, but I mean the man put rape in the faiz novel, that's just completely unacceptable and has no place in Kamen Rider! That alone should have been a sign of NOPE GET AWAY FROM THE FRANCHISE! |

And what the fuck? Why put rape in a book based on a kids show?! Show some restraint! |
Toei and Ishimori has always treated Kamen Rider as a traditional rogue ninja based super hero story since series 1. The core format is pretty much the same.
Female ninjas, rebels and civilians always got the worst treatment as in the ninja stories. The implementation is always there, but they use a tamer format to show on TV. Since the contents in the books (comics and novels) has less restriction many Rider writers just go all in in their stories. |
